This was a really fun watch! My only suggestion is to cut out the rest of the matches once Kecleon dies, I think it made the video feel a bit too long, and I definitely skipped past those parts. Show how Kecleon did work, bam next match etc. Keep up the gen3 videos, loving it : )

I played into this team the other night I can’t remember if I won but I remember my rest talk suicune got tricked and that was a bummer

here are two ideas: one is hitmonlee, which has both mach punch and rapid spin. priority is super rare in gen 3, so combining that with rapid spin is decent utility. also got decent speed and good attack and spd stats. another is kabutops. is actually used in ubers with some unique advantages, like being the best physical swift swimmer, and its also the best sandimmune fail user, so thats another niche. i'd be interested to see some utility kabutops though, since its the only mon with both rapid spin and knock off in the tier (obviously its atrocius defensive typing makes that a little diffcult)

Great vid Dr Z. I think the hardest obstacle to overcome with Kecleon is just that terrible speed stat of 40. We're talking Camerupt speeds lmao. The upper hand it has on ladder is the element of surprise.

I was using kecleon in the battle frontier for fun with Sub Focus Punch Shadow Ball Skill Swap You can sub + punch or skill swap for a good ability and start hitting with super effective shadow balls lol. Doubt it would work in OU tho

I'm actually surprised at how much actual value he brings. Same with the Mon Sableye, two mons rated so low but somehow that do things in Gen 3 OU
