I enjoyed this. I am just getting more heavily into collage and noticed I have the same situation - all colored papers and almost no neutrals m. I feel a play session coming on! Thank you!
Lovely work! ❤ I'm lying is hospital watching your tutorials. So relaxing. Thanks for sharing.❤ My only small criticism is that you need to use more sheets of paper when you're brayering off so that the colours on those scrap sheets don't get all mixed together and the ink isn't wasted. Because you can utilise those scrap sheets.
Vielen Dank für die professionellen und menschlich angenehmen Tutorials. Ich habe schon viel profitiert und Sie haben eine sehr angenehme Stimme und erklären alles sehr gut. Bravo, weiter so
I’m really enjoying your repetative , medative style. I learn by “doing” so it’s easy to get into the swing. It sinks in better for me. Thankyou, I’m enjoying your channel.
I am enjoying your videos so much. I love Gelli printing, doing and watching, endless effects and possibilities. Just a tip, cheap white tissue paper from the $ store works much better to get the paint from the nooks and crannies, than copy paper, it can also be used as collage fodder. Thanks for another inspiring video!💕🇨🇦
I also use that. I was probably out of it that day. Also I recently purchased deli paper that I don't like too much but it picks up the paint in the crannies even better than the tissue. So at least I found a use for it.
The print you made at about minute 21 and didn't like, the 'blurry' one, was my favorite! The second pull from the 'ball' stencil was my second favorite. Such a fun printing session 🙂
Wonderful idea's. In the end you were talking aboy the scribble s and markers. I think you could use inks and sprays of ink to create interest too. Im enjoying the artform of printing using the gelli plates So fun
Do you mind telling me where you got that pack of stencils , you said they had lot in the pack , my name is Linda Bailey from Corpus Christi Texas , I love my black and white papers , I even like the grunge I even forgot sometimes I need a perfect pull , I just hate when I accidentally use to much paint , I watch you everyday ,I've seen them twice already , just love your work , be happy and smile at everyone you meet you never know what you did for that person.
You are too kind. Thanks for being a supportive follower. This has been a huge journey for me here on TH-cam. The recent growth has inspired me to keep it going and maybe even start a Patreon Channel. Still thinking that one through. Here is the link to the stencils: amzn.to/3BVNABC 😎
I have been working on improving that. Thanks for the kind way you mentioned the music. I have had truly bad comments about it on a few videos where I didn't notice the music was super loud in spots. If you notice on my newer posts I have turned the music down but it still adds ambiance. I'd love to get your feedback. Thanks for watching and for your comments.
I hear ya! Even here I think it's expensive. But I always go back to it. I shouldn't use it for gelli printing but I find it the easiest to work with. I tried Blick fluid acrylics and wasted my money. they don't work on a gelli plate. What paint do you use? 😎
@@SusanCliftonArtist I have a few different brands.... For the gelli plate I use a brand called Jo Sonja, and it's higher flow than most. I aslo use Liquitext, which is slightly thicker viscosity paint. Liquitext have a heavier bodied paint called A2 and it's DEFINITELY not as thick as Atelier heavy body, but it's worth it because that range, in Australia, has more colour options than the LIQUITEXT. Jo Sonja is a craft paint, but it's range is wide, colour wise. It's tricky trying to combine the different brands, but! I'm getting around that issue with different flow mediums. Thanks for your response 🙏
How do you gelli print on tissue paper? It seems like it would tear. I looked to see if you had a video with a demo, haven’t found one yet. I am new to your channel and love it. Keep up the awesome work!
I will do that soon. Most of the time I use the tissue to pick up the paint in the detailed areas of the stencils. But then they make nice collage paper. It can tear. You just have to be careful. I heard there is a wet strength tissue but here in the United States I haven't found it yet. I will share if I do.
It's more or less the positive or negative of a design. If you cut a circle out of a square the circle you cut out is the mask and paper with a hole in it is your stencil. It's harder to explain than I thought.
Nice instruction, you have a great voice delivery but would love it more without music since it’s distracting in a tutorial and makes it harder to concentrate on what you are saying.
When I work, I go for bold colors. When I see others' neutral work, I always love it. But when I try to do neutrals myself, I'm never satisfied. Go figure.
Good idea about creating black and white images! Just a short comment - why Not drop the music? It doesn’t really add anything and def distracts from your lesson. Which is too bad really.
Do you love contrast? Adding a little black and white always makes me happy.
Love this video. I can see now where I was making mistakes using stencils: too much paint, not waiting for dry time... thanks so much.
I enjoyed this. I am just getting more heavily into collage and noticed I have the same situation - all colored papers and almost no neutrals m. I feel a play session coming on! Thank you!
That second bubble pull is a beautiful slightly grunge look. Love it! Rice paper is THE BEST for finer stencils ☝️🙏
I agree. The results I get with the rice paper is best. I like collaging with copy paper. Easier to work with and less transparent. So I do a mixture.
Enjoyed your video and got two sets of stencils
Yay, thank you!
WOW BEAUTIFUL WORK
Thank you so much 😊
I love your roll off paper!
I save them when I love them. Sometimes I look down and see the color combos happening and I just love it.
I love these! ❤️
Thanks for watching

I hope it's not something serious. Feel better soon. I used to save all the off sheets but I never use them. So I stopped caring. LOL
I layer and layer them instead and use them in collage.

Great video. Love the black and white and black and cream
Thanks for watching.
I love the black and white! Thank you.

Thanks for teaching us for free! I am so focused on what you are saying and doing, I never notice background music.
You are so welcome!
you are delightful! love your thought process and your delivery. A natural teacher
Thank you so much!
I got inspired by this. May try some buffs and browns, burnt umber and sepia. Really liked the circle and the swirly stencils. 😇💖🙏🙌
Thanks for watching and commenting. It's great to connect.
Great inspiration!

Also a good idea. Thanks for watching.
12:29 am These black and white gel prints have been my favorite!
Thanks. I'm thinking of doing another session with black and white. They are good to have in the collage stash.
Very nice!! Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Loving these.🩵💚💜
Thanks
Enjoyed it.
Thanks.
Great tutorial! I seem to 😢use B&W in almost every collage. Nice to creat your own supply! Love the shades of gray on your 'brayer roll off' paper.
It's nice to have a stash of black and white on hand.
Love your channel, I learn so much. I would love to know where you get the stencil pack. Thank you.
This stencil pack I got on Amazon. You get 36 stencils Here is the link: ❤️ 36 Pieces Geometric Stencils: amzn.to/3BVNABC

Thank you! Inspiration to do a black and white session! ❤
You're welcome.
I LOVE your videos! I just discovered you. My 2 cents....I prefer just your voice/no music (my older ADHD mind). Thanks Susan!

Golden paint is too expensive in Australia 😢so we gotta love what we can afford😂

What is the difference between a stencil and a mask?
It's more or less the positive or negative of a design. If you cut a circle out of a square the circle you cut out is the mask and paper with a hole in it is your stencil. It's harder to explain than I thought.
Beautiful video. Thank you Susan. I learned a lot. My only niggle is the background music as so repetitive 🙁 xx
the rice paper you link to isn't available can you recommend another pleaSe?
I'll be posting a video next Sunday where I test other rice papers. For now I can recommend this one. amzn.to/3yKLGWK
How do you store all your collage papers?
I bought boxes on Amazon and sort them by color. It's a job!
Nice instruction, you have a great voice delivery but would love it more without music since it’s distracting in a tutorial and makes it harder to concentrate on what you are saying.
Sorry about that
When I work, I go for bold colors. When I see others' neutral work, I always love it. But when I try to do neutrals myself, I'm never satisfied. Go figure.
I also like lots of color so this was hard. But I also love contrast.
Good idea about creating black and white images!

😎
I can’t stand watching you use big sheets of paper on a small plate. Such a waste. You do know we cut down trees to create copy paper, right?
😎
