REPLACING Searchlight Bulb & Lens REPAIR - 1956 Green Goddess - Ep 4

Welcome back to another episode of restoring my 1956 Bedford's Fire Engine; this time we are tackling the rooftop searchlight. The bulb is notoriously difficult to find and very fragile. Oh, and my glass lens shattered into a million pieces, so I decided to replace it with a custom made plexiglass one for under £20!
This video will cover how to replace the searchlight bulb and install a new plexiglass lens and create a gasket for it from sealant. I also let you know all the details for buying your own bulbs and custom cut plexiglass and where you can buy them from.
