Well done for opening up on this! Good to see that you are already on-board with a sensible Vit D regime! 🙂 I'm lucky in that I don't suffer depression or S.A.D. but I do believe in regular bedtime and waking up early works well for me. One trick I use is to have a table lamp on my window-ledge behind the curtains, operated by a timer, which switches it on at 05.00 throughout the winter. This wakes me up in a similar way to being woken by summer sunlight coming in through the curtains. That then gives me enough light to get up and dressed without having to put any other lights on before heading off to the kitchen for harsher lights and caffeine! The light is also on in the evening, switching off at 22.00, effectively giving me a regular seven-hour period of darkness, when I should be asleep.

Thanks for this long reply! Very interested in your morning routine. Like I say in the video, a strict routine is essential. Last winter I would often sleep until 11am+ and it would make me feel truly terrible

Hello, I'm pleased to say that TH-cam has suggested your channel, I've watched your 3 videos and I hope to walk with you further on. Would you tell your name? My best wishes, Dorit (Israel)

Have just found your channel as I thought of moving to isolated Scotland. You are helping a lot. I am worried about the lack of rain in East Anglia and all summer the ground is cracking and watering everything to keep it alive. (even mature trees) will watch you more x

I've watched your three videos and first let me say that the location you chose is very beautiful. The property has tremendous potential. You seem like a very pleasant fellow as well. I am curious why, given your predisposition to seasonal depression, that you chose tto move there? One method I use to ward off the winter blues is house plants. I typically go into the cold months with 40 or 50 plants dispersed throughout the house. It helps tremendously.

Thanks for taking the time to watch my videos and commenting. There were many reasons behind the move, which I'll go into in a later video. In terms of location, we actually haven't moved far from where I lived most of my life in England, we're about 1.5 hours from where I grew up. It is the fact that now being so rural, the changing of the seasons is far more obvious.

I very much agree with you regarding watching too much online content. It definitely disturbs the sleep pattern. I have reduced my watch time but not enough, I'm watching this at midnight!!

In most cases I would say you shouldn't be watching at that time, but make an exception when it's our videos!
