@@chasington it’s so different than a cinematic DJI drone- I gotta say yeah within minutes you can fly it somewhat comfortably with the motion 3 controller. I was cutting corners circling stuff with relative ease maybe 5-10 minutes into my first battery
Great video, great to see you are still flying! I remember watching your video a year or so ago about your first flight and it always stuck with me. Only just getting into FPV myself now, but great to see you are still about!
Great review! Besides cool flying I really like how you compose your presenter shots and mix up the angles. Looking forward to more of your content, subbed!
I'm really excited to get this. I'm getting pretty good on my Tinyhawk 3 Freestyle. I think this will be a tremendous upgrade. I was going to build a 5 inch, But there's plenty I can learn on this first. I've already got the FPV3 controller can confirm it works great in both DRL simulator and TrypFPV.
9:33 For the OG Avata, you could set a custom button to arm and disarm the motors: (In the Goggles) Settings/Control/Remote Controller/Button Customisation (Is that what you were looking for?)
You cutting power too early in a loop, and like you said, add it back up smoother. Avata2 has much more drag than regular fpv drone. That's why it seems less powerful in acro than it actually is. Have you tried higher rates than stock? Try around 150/600/0.65 for P and R and 120/480/0.55 for Y. I've noticed it only stalls in a sharp turn if I go over 50mph. Below that it never happened to me.
Great review. I've been thinking of replacing my Avata v1 with one of these. Seems like some nice quality of life upgrades. Do you feel like it's worth upgrading? The biggest plus for me would be the updated image sensor.
@@andyescapes yeah the camera is super lacking, especially in low light. I think I'll sell my v1 and give this a try. People like to knock the Avata but the ease of use just has me even pulling my original version out way more than my other FPV drones.
Hi I got 1 question: i buy a cetus x fpv kit and learn how to fly in acro mode, but now i want to buy 2nd fpv drone i think i buy cinelog 35 v2, dji integra and tbs tango 2. Do you think is it good set or no? If yes thank you, if no please tipe what do you recomend
avata makes things easier .. but nothing compared to fpv hobbyist one.. but avata is my go to for few shot that doesnt require heavy acrobatic like hobbyist ...plus it just bring and play.. and doesnt require tons of batteries
Ive crashed a few times and noticed its starting to pull left like the horizon skews left by default, the drone seems fine tbh tho…anyone else have this problem?
omg... it still has the YAW WASHOUT Tumble... like the AVATA 1... BIG FAIL...will they ever make a FPV drone that does not fall from the sky when you make a quick turn??
@@andyescapes It happened twice to me already and both times I just barely dodged a crash because of it. I don't have Avata 1 to compare, but this is bad enough to make any kind of acro practically impossible due to it being too risky.
No, it doesn’t. I’ve been flying like crazy for about a week. Operator error. Can you drive a car really fast and turn quickly? No, because it will flip over unless you know what the hell you’re doing. 🤣🤣🤣
Bought one never got to fly it no camera signal gimbal not responding out the box reset it calibrated the gimbal re paired it logged in and out refreshed the firmware anything I could do won’t begetting it again that’s for sure
@@andyescapes I was hoping it was a one off after my first flight but it seems that everytime I try and do a left yaw, even slowish, it flips upside down and falls
The A2 is so good. Long time DJI pilot here but new to FPV Cinewoops. This drone is rad.
absolutely and i love the image quality
That says a lot lol I wanna fly drones but I'm scared. How easy is it for someone who never flew a drone before to actually fly this thing?

Ordered my A2 (first FPV drone for me as well) a few days ago! Cant wait to get some "seat time"!

Double tap the motor button, upper right? To manually turn motors off in manual mode
thank you 😂

Want to get the FPV remote so I can learn to dive down cliffs and waterfalls, hard to do with the MC.
The design is magnificent and you are doing a good job.

you can probably do it here too but i think i just didn’t work that out haha
@@andyescapes all good my man! Thanks so much for the video. Great to see you trying out the Avata 2 (and how cool that DJI reached out to you too!)
@andyescapes disarm by double tapping the start/stop button.
Goggles 3 don’t work with O3… why say they do?
there should be a backwards compatibility in a while
I just wanna point out all your compositions for this vid were super nice, like your talking heads etc. Very awesome vid
Just found your channel and your videos are great! Really surprised you don't have more subscribers. Keep it up!
Hey brotha,, does the o4 unit (goggles 3 and controller 3 ) work with any micro drone unit to practice indoors
9:35 I think you can now setup a killswitch for the motor in goggles 3 controller menu
Yes, quad click stop, but it must be enabled.

9:22 double tap start stop button to kill the motors (throttle may need to be down too, can't remember)
Thanks for sharing! Where's that river you experienced the prop wash though? I want to try flying there too.
Great video Andy!! also we need that video of all the gear that you bring on your travelss🙌🏼

yes, i didn’t buy the first one because i thought the camera was lacking and you can’t shoot 60fps in 4:3 4k

great video as always
Great video man! You got my Sub
i love it
For those wondering, this is still an issue. Happened to me yesterday, doing the same kind of turn to the same side using the same flying mode.
It happened to me close to a river too 😂 you can see it on my review bro same thing 🙌 nice review too gg

haven’t happened to me and i crashed a decent amount they weren’t super hard though
Maybe you should re calibrate your IMU.
I put my Gimbal over my filers all the time on my AVATA 2 works perfectly!

09:00 here. You are welcome.
if you got £1000 to waste buy the avata 2, if you want Fpv builds spend £200
My avata 2 flips and falls out of the sky for no reason at least once a flight, it’s worse than the first one!
