Same! Brings back memories of going to the Showcase in Coventry all those years ago. Remember running up the steps into the cinema. Haven't been in for donkeys, wonder how much it's changed.
Used to be quite exciting and bombastic, now it's all mellow and ambient, as personified by Odeon's current snipes. Not that mellow and ambient are necessarily bad things of course.
wow psychology is real. classic conditioning. I was eating and I accidently dipped my boneless wing into the cheese sauce for my fries. immediately the taste of the nacho cheese made me think of the movie theater...the brain is magical
If they had National Amusements Theaters here in the United States (and I think they did - I'm not sure...), I would've been dancing in my theater seat as that Ray of Light-esque music would be playing :-P
This is super nostalgic !! My brains just noticed that this music sounds like it was the basis for Madonna's - 'Ray Of Light' song. Go compare them. Seems like more than a co-incidence.
I saw this for inindian jones kingdom of the crystal skull and the feature prestion bumper was played in reversed alsong with stomp dobly digtal now that showcase bought them out national amusements is gone!
Bringing back memories right now
When was this retired? 2006ish? Anyone??
Great cinematic memories. Brings back the feels of seeing Phantom Menace at Showcase, Coventry, UK in ‘99!

I remember seeing it as late as Terminator Salvation in 2009...
Close, 2007 for many locations.
Great quality, I just wish it also included the "coming attractions" segment that followed.

Happens when I smell popcorn, too
This brings me back to when I saw Revenge of the Sith in theaters. I was terrified by this.

The Strike It Lucky theme would fit this in my view.
In argentina this was retired in 2008. It’s my fuckin childhood
De seguro viste algún intro de una pirámide así como en primera persona si fuiste a un showcase. Lo busco y no lo encuentro..

How’d you get this in such good quality?
This sounds like Madonna's Ray of Light.
This is great, thanks for uploading this!

Last movie I saw this coaster before theaters closed was My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising.
Really? I thought they stopped using this one years ago, Don't remember seeing it when I went to see Two Heroes
