My mom bought us my pillows before we learned the my pillow guy was insane (she liked that it was an MN based company and he hired former convicts to give them a second chance). I would not recommend buying them for moral reasons, but I would also not recommend buying them for quality reasons. They do not hold up.
My mom bought me one when I was like 14 when they first came out. It was okay (compared to the $3 pillows) for like a week. Then it got super flat and lumpy. It was on the $20 “as seen on TV!” aisle at Walmart. 🙄 I haven’t been inside of a Walmart in a year now but the last time I went they still sold them in that section.

Nah. McConnell's evil and one of the worst people in US politics, but he's not slimy. He's always been pretty upfront (as far as congress people go) about his disdain for democracy and his desire to line his own pockets at the expense of everyone else.
I'm not sure if I'd use the word "human", since McConnell seems to lack so many human traits. For example, he doesn't seem to really hold any values, and thus does not have any cognitive dissonance when being completely dishonest and contradicting himself.
