    I’m curious. Is it ok to house a pair together year round? What happens if you do?

    god this makes me miss keeping knobtails SOOOOOOOOOOO much!!! Do you still breed? Do you have any for sale? I'd really like to get a couple of these cuties back in my hands!

      We do still breed them, and the season just stared, so we only have eggs in the incubator as of right now! Follow us on instagram or Facebook to keep up to date when babies hatch and are available!

    Nice breeding guide! Kindly advice what is the age and weight of breeding pairs are best for breeding?

      We generally follow minimum 15grams for Males and 20 Grams for Females. We don’t force grow them, so this usually happens between 18-24 months.

    I saw it very well. Good information.
    Tell me how to feed a newborn baby.
    What should I do if I don't eat?

    • @acaciareptiles
      @acaciareptiles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have never personally experienced a baby not eating, so I can’t advise on that. They key is hydration, humidity, and ensuring they have a variety of prey items. I have found some don’t respond to specific insects. Some prefer a specific type of roach, crickets, or small newly shaded mealworm, or wax worms.

    Do you introduce the male just once for the entire season or when she laid her clutch you put the male back in?

      Depends on the individual animal. I typically house animals separately, and just introduce the male for a day or two. I watch when introducing to ensure that both male and female are interested. From then it depends on of the female retains sperm or not. I have some females that mate once in the beginning of the season, and then are good for the season, and others that I have to introduce the male multiple times throughout the season.

      @@acaciareptiles thanks for the reply! Collected my first pilbarensis eggs two weeks ago and was wondering they retained the sperm for the entire season, will put the male back in for a couple of days to be sure, thanks!

    What is the low temperature and high temperature when 'Cooling'? I wonder how much it is maintained and how it changes.

    • @acaciareptiles
      @acaciareptiles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We drop them gradually to the mid 60’sF at night and low 70sF during the Winter months for about 3 months. Then we gradually increase to low 90s for daytime highs and mid 80s at night for breeding season.

    what is the breeding weight for nephrurus milli male and female ?

    • @acaciareptiles
      @acaciareptiles  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I follow the same general rule as I do for Knobtails, as these are slightly larger, but slimmer. Males around 15g+ and females 20g+
