I bought a $2 baggie of stuff at Salvation Army. It had a postcard of a restaurant in Portland OR that no longer exists. The card was new old stock and unposted. I listed it and it brought $158! I couldn't believe it. There was a bidding war over this postcard
I am a Barbie girl collector. I found a much needed sweater to complete an outfit in a sandwich bag full of fabric scraps! 1.00!
I have a ton of my late brothers collection...I cannot get myself to list anything.
OMG Those Tupperware measuring cups! I got married in '78 when avocado green and harvest gold was the in colors. I still have the green ones.
I have the yellow ones from about the same time. I use them almost every day ❤
If Roger was a Tupperware salesperson, the lady would open the door and say I don't need any tupperwear but come on in cutie.yall are both cutie pies❤
That’s such a creepy thing to say.
It is a compliment. There is no need to take a negative view.
@@marydumois4242Nah. It’s a compliment and they are “both cutie pies”.
It’s not creepy at all. Karen is a beautiful lady and Roger is a handsome gentleman! They are a beautiful couple💕💕💕
@@marydumois4242 You're making to sound "dirty" with your comment.
When Roger said "Guess I just loss those" when you were showing interest in the Nike medium sweatpants, I was just cracking up! You two are so funny!
That Bob Dylan poster came with a 33rpm album in the late 1960's. It was reissued recently so you need to figure out which one you have. If it was folded, it very well might be one that came inside of the album.
That's exactly what I thought even though I was very young when that came out. I remember lots of posters being in albums. I just looked it up and saw one person selling it for over $1,100😮
@@vlrissolo They are very common. That album sold in the millions.
Roger found lots of goodies!! He knows his products!! Fun to watch them shop! Karen...you got lots of goodies also. What a great day for Goodwill shopping! Thanks for sharing!
You are both very cute together. Very knowledgeable. It’s very generous of you to share your knowledge in the videos. I’m not a reseller. I just enjoy watching. 😊
Vintage postcards or vintage greeting cards would look good in those frames
Love how Roger is getting so comfy in front of the camera and talking to us! He really killed it this trip! I do love the painted trays, but don't collect them. Wishing you both a lovely week!
Would definitely put the little chair in your store and maybe place a fake potted flower or nice plant on it as a display so people could see what it could be used for. 😊
I love watching the two of you shop together. The way you interact with each other is so wonderful and we can see the obvious love you have for each other.
$60!!!!!!! Too funny-your surprise about the gold pans. You guys are such a sweet couple!!!
I think it’s cool that you thrift seperately together! You don’t have to be joined at the hip! And it’s actually fun for you to check out your spouse’s cart❤
16:09 There was a wooden pineapple lamp next to the stained glass shade that I was hoping you’d look at. The vintage ones can do well :) It’s always fun shopping with you & Roger 😊 Thank you so much for taking us with you, as always. ❤
I live in Springfield Oregon about ten minutes from Autzen Stadium and the Oregon Ducks. Phil Knight (Nike) is to the U of O what Michael Jordan is to the Carolina Tarheels. Major financial contributor. Was hilarious when you asked Roger how he just knew Beaverton was the home of Nike😂. Also funny when the next clothing item Roger pulled out was an Oregon shirt! The man knows his sports!
I adore you and Roger!!!! You are both so fun and kind. I wish I lived in your neighborhood!!!! Every post brightens my day!!! Hugs!!!
Being A native Detroiter, I LOVE the Weiner picture 🥰
bar keepers friend usually gets utensil marks off mugs
And those Mr. clean scrub white pads
There was an older man that shopped our Goodwill everyday and his daughter gave him a 22:04 surprise birthday party in the Goodwill I was surprised that Goodwill went along with it but they had cake and all the decorations he was so surprised and had such a good time
I have been watching you for over two to three years. But never have introduce myself. Live in Salem Oregon. I had a booth at a antique shop after I retired. I love it, but then the shop lost their lease. And then covid hit. Never got back into it. But I loved the hunt and did a lot of painted furniture for the booth.. Love your channel. I jump for joy that Roger and You got married. I could see it in your eyes that there was love in the air. You balance each other out. I love that he blushes when you put him on the spot. And he doesn't have an answer. FYI, Barkeepers cleaning powder will remove the marks on your cup. I use it on my dishes and Pyrex items. It doesn't scarch the finish. Take care, big hug, always.
Hi Linda! 💜
Your little crock is Roseville Ohio but not a Roseville piece. Robinson ransbottom pottery co. (R R P. Co )
I like that you break your own rules. Shows what's out there!!!
You know why the employees tell you there is a new card out? Because you are such a love!
You are so sweet!! 💜
Weebles wobble but they won’t fall down! I remember the ad when I was a little kid. ❤️🇨🇦
Ditto, I say the commercial line all the time and nobody gets it. Weebles wobble but they don't fall down.. 😊
Now that I am a senior citizen I say I'm like a weeble I wobble but I don't fall down. 😂
And here's a joke to go with it..
A farmer went out to check on his cattle after a severe wind storm. He was so impressed that they were unscathed, and he said to them, "How in the world did you manage to stay upright in that wind?"... And you got it....
They said to the farmer, "We bulls wobble, but we don't fall down." 😂😂😂😅
The "Roseville" crock you found at 6:54 was made by the Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Company OF Roseville Ohio. It is NOT Roseville Pottery. Roseville Pottery was made in Zanesville Pottery.
The leaded lamp shade....Epic!!!! And Super Epic!!! I am so jealous!!! The raised grapes alone took great skill to fuse together and then work into the piece!!! Extremely impressive!!! Still soooo jealous!!! Lol 💞💞🙃💞💞
“It’s so bad, it’s bad”. 😂 that got me!
Love you guys. What an inspiring work ethic! Just an FYI on your little butter crock if no one has said this already: It was made by Robinsons Ransbottom Pottery Co. (hence the RRPCo) of Roseville Ohio. It should NOT be confused with the slightly more collectible Roseville Pottery, (possibly of Zanesville) also made in Ohio.
Agreed. Both are wildly popular here in rural country. I sell them as quick as I find them. The ones I don’t keep. Lol
Happy Father’s Day, Roger. You made some extraordinary finds in this video-whatever day it was!
Goodwill needs major improvement on how their stores look inside. 2nd Avenue Thrift is so much better. I've started donating to 2nd Avenue because they give to the Purple Heart Foundation. Good Stuff in Langhorne, PA is another good thrift store that gives to Children's Hospitals.
I find their prices quite high 😁💜
The key to limiting squirrels at your bird feeder is a seed mix that has a hot pepper coating. Birds cannot taste the hot pepper 🌶️, like mammals.
The Dylan poster may have come out of a music album. Those fold lines look to be “album size”. I had a few posters back in the day.
My thoughts exactly and I looked it up and somebody is selling it for over $1,100
@@vlrissolo It would be hard to get $22.00 for it . There are Thousands of them out there. And very often- you find them still INSIDE the albums too.
@@vlrissolo whoa! That’s crazy.
Yeah, that's what I just said and I looked it up and indeed it did. We're right! It came from a greatest hits album in about 1965 if I recall correctly
@@LannieLord not true... They are making reproductions of this poster which says a lot. Finding an album from the 60s is a huge thing but to find the insert is even a bigger thing because people would stick them on their walls and they would often rip when they came down. If you look through the images, the Vintage posters are almost all upwards of 1100 dollars. Bob Dylan is not just an old folk singer he is an American icon and being that he's in his early eighties and still performing I can't imagine what his memorabilia will be worth after his death... I have inherited about 120 T-shirts from the 70s and 80s punk bands and many t-shirts and sweat shirts of Elton John and David Bowie. My brother was heavily into Punk but he was a Pianist and a huge Elton John (and Bowie) fan. Anyway, I recently did some research about this and much of the t-shirts I have are worth quite a bit. A lot of it depends on the obscurity of the band or the popularity but the older iconic shirts like Madman and Caribou are also worth a lot. They were almost sent to the Goodwill! I was very close to my brother and grabbed most of his clothes just because I couldn't let go of my baby brother. I didn't know how valuable they were ... 😥❤ RIP Eric Rissolo
You can mix cayenne pepper with the bird seed... it won't hurt the birds but the squirrels don't like it.
The poster was sold in the album, thus folded up and when pulled out it became the size of a small poster. Yep Bob Dylan.... also there is one in an album of Jimmy Hendrix... Late 60's maybe...💞💞🙃💞💞
Roger knows his stuff… he’s a keeper even if it’s just for his knowledge but he’s cute too😊😊😊 you guys are a great team between the both of youse the amazing things found unbelievable ❤❤❤
Asking for a friend 😂 What a great clothing haul for Roger ! I had a Tupperware flashback with the mustard colored measuring cups Roger found. I had a set, cooked many a meals and baked many cakes using mine back in the day. The poster is very 70’s psychedelic ☮️
I went to an estate sale recently and the woman of the house was an extreme collector. Anyway, there were boxes and boxes of Bella Lux rhinestone and enamel mini frames for $1 each. At the time I didn't realize what a score that was and I am kicking myself now. The ones I did buy sold very quickly for a great profit as single frames.
Hello Karen, I’m so glad I caught your video early today. I really enjoy you and Roger. Fun to watch the different things you both purchase. Hope you’re enjoying the summer. Hugs from Switzerland 🇨🇭 💕
Great video! LOVE watching you two thrifting together.. You are the sweetest couple!
I would definitely pick up the large Toll tray! I have made fall & Christmas arrangements in very large tray. Give me many options... Get It!!
I love your car chats with Roger. So cute. The love between you two seeps thru so wonderfully. I also just noticed his eyes are gorgeous. Happy Father's Day to him!
Continued to be 😯 amazed at the items you and Roger find 😊
Hi
I am a part time seller from CT. Love your informative videos. Love the metal tray with the bird.....❤
That tray is fabulous. So glad you picked it up. It's gorgeous
Excited to see what you find today! ❤
You two make a great team. So fun to see you both so happy.
A Mr. Clean sponge works perfectly
Love the tray
Wow I guessed that was Bob Dylan! I like that hotdog advertising!
Bar Keeper's Friend does a decent job of removing utensil marks. Great unique finds!
Love this video as always! I use pictures from old art/landscape/design books to replace art in frames. Books are inexpensive and plentiful and the photos work great to elevate the look of some frames
Oh yes Happy Father’s Day to Roger!
My daughter and I love trays. We use them all the time
To remove spoon marks from mugs, I use generic denture cleaner.
I love Roger's "Jaws" tshirt. You guys are awesome! Love watching you two! Hugs! Char in Alaska! Balmy 72 degrees and Happy Father's Day Roger!🙂✌
Wow what a haul is all I can say for the 2 of you! Amazing finds!
You turn your work into joy for us!
Love the Dylan poster!
Yes, Roseville is in SE Ohio, just South of Zanesville. Very collectable.
I believe the Bob Dylan poster came inside an album hence all the fold marks😉 Great haul & video. Love both of your energy ❤
Love seeing the both of you!❤ Loved your haul!
I had the Bob Dylan poster how cool to see that again!!!! Wish I still had mine!!!
A school chair! My husband was a teacher, and one day he came home with a truck load of those, in two sizes. He said “I’m gonna make your day!” Their janitor was cleaning a storage room, and was throwing them in a dumpster!!!! He saved them. I kept two for my boys, still have them. Through the years I sold the others. They are part of Americana! ❤️🤍💙
Great finds!
Hi Happy Fathers Day Roger❤
LOVE Rogers' Jaws t-shirt!
I was just in this Goodwill the day before you filmed this video. It was my first time in the Lancaster, PA Goodwill. Visiting from Biloxi, MS. Great pickups.
I don’t like those trays for myself but they are beautiful and I picked up 2 with a rose motif for $5.00 recently. I haven’t listed them yet but as soon as I heal up from total knee replacement I had done Thursday I’m going to get them listed.
Also thanks for the heads up about Pottery Barn Outlets. I had no idea about them and there’s one about an hour from me! Ready to get better and get back to thrifting!
Come on knee…. Let’s get this show on the road! 😊
Hi Karen I’m coming around with you let’s see what we can find lv Ann ❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I’m from Portland, Or.! Knew about Nike and love our Ducks!!
“Spoon scratching “= utensil marks. Easily out w/a dab of barkeeper (I just keep liquid on hand-fairly friendly) on wet cloth. 🤓
A statement wall of Tole trays and patriotic Americana is so stunning!!
The gray Aztec framed piece is crewel embroidery not needlepoint - just FYI - love your videos!
Yes! 😂 I said the wrong word
Wow you guys found a lot of really nice things and clothes today
Hello you two, the little pin ball set you found I think is for a shuffle board table, you use the shuffle board pucks in place of the ball. Love your videos.
I collect tole trays and that one is stunning! ❤❤❤
I only buy squirrel proof birdfeeders. That's a great feeder find! I've always wanted one of those so I can watch the flying squirrels LOL! Love watching you both! ❤️
Oh. Like the yellow lamp on shelf.
Love to see you thrifting together❤
43:37 Not me doing a Lavender Clothesline story in my head 😂😂I can just imagine someone in Napa Valley or a winery wanting to put this up on their vineyard because it has grapes 🍇 😂😂
Happy Fathers Day Roger
Yes! Roger’s back!
Karen Roger amazing find I believe that poster came in an album and it was featured on Antiques Roadshow not too long ago. I think it’s really valuable of course depending on condition.
Wow. I have one of those youth chairs that came fro. A church youth room in South Carolina.
You both did well today. Very good!
Great cart haul Roger
I had that cat in the black gingham dress. I think I finally donated it. 😂
I could watch you'll all day long!
It would be fun to see what sells in Roger's ebay store and what he gets for the treasures he finds.
I've had good luck using a magic eraser to get spoon marks out of mugs and off of plates and bowls!
Mr Clean MAGIC ERASER for the mugs!
You could always start a segment : The Good, The Bad and The Tacky of Goodwill 😂😂😂 .
22:15 Just come back when they have actually sold for a high dollar amount . Quite often, a high Ebay price happens when somebody "gets lucky" . It's not a "set price". Then people do copy-cat high prices on the same item after the one single seller "got lucky" and the whole thing crumbles. I've been there. I tried.
Happy Father's Day Roger.🎉
Great video today. If you sold the little chair on E-bay, how do you ship something like that? Thanks for sharing your ventures and knowledge!
We have the exact dachshund poster framed in our home! We had two dachshunds, so love 'wiener dog' art!😀 #fanfromCanada
GW stores here ( NC) don’t open until 10am so that’s that!
barkeepers friend will take the spoon tracks out of that Starbucks mug !
Love the Jaws t-shirt Roger 🦈
Me too 😁💜
