About fondue, people incorrectly think that after you put the meat, cheese, or bread onto your fondue fork, you dip it in the fondue and then put it in your mouth. Nope! The proper thing to do, once you have dipped the food into the fondue pot, is to put it on your plate and then use a regular fork to eat it. The fondue fork stays in the pot and is just meant to carry it to your plate.
I don't live in Pennsylvania...but based on your videos and your ability to make a comfortable full time income...YOU ARE RIGHT! Pennsylvania Goodwills appear to be the best. 👌
Hi Karen, that clear, cut glass decanter might be a pattern called Marquis, by Waterford, or maybe Wedgwood. Of course, I could be wrong. Check for etching on the bottom of the decanter. All the best to you and Roger in 2024.
Not Peter Rabbit but close, mice are featured in another Beatrix Potter book, not sure of the title without googling. She wrote and illustrated a whole series of children’s books.
I am so happy you found the McCoy cowboy boots lamp. Thank you for offering it in your store. I am so excited to receive it in the mail soon, It’s not for a kids room it’s for my home office. Yes I am crazy, 🤪 love your Store and your channel. Best to you and all you love Sweetie Darling. The little boots lamp is on it’s way to another Grand Adventure. 🤠♥️🤠
Your stone trinket jar is alabaster, not onyx. I have a larger one that was my Mother's. They are beautiful. I love your videos. My favorite part? Your "chatter". You are so entertaining.
Karen, I thought you said we ate lunch, we had Peter Mangelli. I thought....oh...that sounds fancy. 😮 Then, it occurred to me that you said peanut butter and jelly. 😂Lol. And yes, that looks like a tractor seat. 😊
Use a false teeth cleaning tab to clean the inside of the decanter. Always use vinegar to clean coffee and tea stains from cups, coffee pots, clothes and carpet. Use a banana peel to clean shoes. The inside of the banana peel. I could go on and on. Love your taste and watching you shop!
I would have picked up that monkey pod snack set. It would be easy to make a bottom since it wouldn't be seen and the lazy susan portion seems like it's built into the top portion. Love the Orrefores (Swedish high quality). ❤ Mouse is a Beatrix Potter print❤
I live in New Glarus, WI - America's Little Switzerland, so have learned a lot about fondue. The metal fondue pot you found is intended for meat fondue. The oil is heated in it and then you cook small pieces of high-quality meat with your fondue fork. Ceramic pots are used for cheese fondue. Love your channel, Karen!
Just had fondue for Christmas at my sister's and I didn't do that since the 70s. You buy your meat very thin sliced of beef and there is recipes for the sauce, poke it on a long fork let it cook in the sauce and put it in your plate, that's how you keep it hygienic and the long fork can be used again. And do the same for the melted cheese sauce on a piece of bread.
When my daughters were 10 and 13 yrs old our family started having fondue for Christmas Eve dinner. Dinner lasted about 2 hours. Our daughters started talking and held wonderful dinner conversations. They told us all kinds of things that they usually don’t talk about. Current events, school, social media were some of the topics. My husband and I were pleasantly impressed. We have done fondue on Christmas Eve for many years. They did go through the pantry recently to find unusual things to fondue, like marshmallows, lol.
I collect McCoy and vintage western decore. New rawhide lampshades are available in natural and colors and tinted. The ceramic boots w/antique electric cord are worth upwards of $60 w/o shade. Retail for $100+ w/shade in SW USA
Well worth buying wheels for the racks that need them for sure. ❤❤😂i myself will be 66 this year.wow!! Time flies. Raising a grand child keeps me busy.❤❤to you both.
Others have probably commented; red bowl (bubble pattern) & butter dish are vintage Anchor Hocking. Butter dishes are always a quick sale for me. Mother & baby mouse are Beatrix Potter😄
Hi Karen, Shillington seems like the best Goodwill for your area! Love that you both eat PBJ in the car! You guys are definitely great thrifters! Cheers, Pat🎉
Our Carson City GW is dark and crowded on the older gondola style metal shelves. I wish we had wire shelves. We had a big bright and open GW in Reno, but they moved to a dark metal shelves store.
I am finding I love some clear WELL MADE glass. I set up a whole Limoge dental care tray using thw old cut glass. I’m using a crystal jam pot for my partial (the pattern hides whats in the solution), a vinegar piece holds mouthwash. I small dotted glass vase holds my tooth brushes, a cute shot glass is for mouthwash and two little bottles hold rinses, and all I need now is something for the home made tooth powder. It elevates the routine and I feel pampered at the same time. Inhave oicked up more nice glass than ever before. Little thrifted vases of all types are nice to give as gifts to people who are feeling down, in a nursing home or even are just under the weather. My best friend taught me that years back. A bouquet can be made from the simplest garden.
Another fun, exciting, & educational video. Thank you, Karen, for taking the time to do these videos & explain why you do or don't buy a particular item
Karen I'm about to start work but would love to shop with you. I love hunting for bargains. Sue in Illinois I do agree what you said about Pennsylvania goodwill. I see you always finding great stuff.
I remember there was a store in the Bergen Mall in NJ in the 1960’s and early ‘70’s which carried fairly high end imported Chinese and Japanese items. There were kimonos, wooden furniture, ceramics. So vintage Oriental goods will have tags. The store was called “Oriental Imports” if I remember correctly.
Thank you for your videos! We are same age and love seeing how you keep in shape with your business! Daughter and I love the thrill of the hunt, which she then sells online. I do it for the treasure hunt. Love your organization and it is oddly satisfying watching you pull sold items! Love it! ❤
Hi again, Karen! Did that sectioned wooden snack server swivel and turn even though it was missing its base? A round wooden lamp base would probably be a good substitute for the original base.
Your channel is by far my favorite I especially watch when you and Roger are Thrifting together. You guys make it so much fun. That tray that you loved so much you could just remove that bottom piece or just add four little feet to it or if you wanted to you could even attach a Lazy Susan to it by removing the piece that’s on there and screwing in a Lazy Susan attachment. Just thought I’d give you my two cents worth .can’t wait till the next video.
I love your site you cover prices names pottery glass 💞 clothes, ornaments I can go shopping with you I can see you when you are working and you are getting so much better even in 3 weeks that I have been watching, just amazing you work really hard and you have made your business work because you are also very kind by letting us know no so much, just a good all rounder🎉🥃🥃😁😁 me and you xxxx
Love to watch you, plan on going to PA for a thrifting trip. Of course I hope to run into you and Roger! Please make your list of places to shop soon, I need to make hotel reservations. So excited!🎉
Hi Karen, Karen here also. We bought LED lights from Sam’s Club to hang in our garage. They are about 3 ft long, have chains that are adjustable and can connect together. These made a huge difference in our garage. We are self employed and our garage is used for our business. Just an FYI. Love your videos!
Hey Karen, When we move into our new house this year, I'm gonna need you to come over and Organize my resellling space for me, OK? okay. LOL😂 in all seriousness, I just LOVE seeing your vids - you are defiantly a 💯% inspiration here in the resale world!!!💖Cheers~ from South Carolina
The Treasure Craft canisters are probably marked in the inside maybe on the lid. I have some with similar flowers and they are pottery craft which is treasure craft
I loved so many things in this video Karen, like the vintage basket and the mouse picture. And it bears repeating - you are so organized! Amazing and wonderful.
Hello to you and Roger. I love watching the both of you together so much love and respect. Great haul for the both of you. Good luck, Brenda from Northern Michigan.

I was surprised that you seemed unfamiliar with the name Orrefors but I was glad that you picked up those two crystal pieces. Both were beautiful.
Me too! I find it at our GW often.
The glass decanters are beautiful in the bathroom for mouthwash, bubble bath - so much prettier than the bottles they come in.
That's a great idea!
That's what I use decanters for!
What a great idea!!!
That’s a great idea!👍👍
@@annmarie4794 I guess there are always exceptions.
I think your mouse print is a Beatrix Potter reprint. Thanks so much for your videos. I really enjoy them.
It is Beatrix Potter. I think her name is Hunca Munca.
Roger love the smile every time you ask him a question. 1 lucky lady.❤
I really like the combined shopping/pulling shipping videos!!!
Roger is so darn cute...I love how much you 2 laugh together, a couple that thrifts together stays together (im sure of it).
Congratulations on reaching 80,000 subscribers! I always look forward to your videos. You, Roger, and Lisa work so hard and inspire us all!
fyi for the schmutz - we use a denture fizzy cleaner like polident - used on my Mom's waterford decanters and worked like dream- I also use on vases-
Thanks for the advice hun.❤😊
I’ve heard that works great
The pottery barn hanging light is amazing!! Fantastic find!
I don't live in Pennsylvania...but based on your videos and your ability to make a comfortable full time income...YOU ARE RIGHT! Pennsylvania Goodwills appear to be the best. 👌
Orrefors is a famous name - so proud of your finds, consider how you dislike clear glass! Good job.
my favorite
Swedish brand. Kosta Boda is their "lower end" if I recall?
It actually looked like a tractor seat to me too before you pulled it off the shelf lol. 😂
Red bowl is Anchor Hocking Fire King Royal Ruby Bubble. I really enjoy watching you pull sales!
The manufacturer of the plates made in Bavaria, Germany (at 5:30) is Winterling (founded in 1906) which now belongs to Eschenbach Porzellan Group
That beaded ceiling fixture goes for $299.00 at pottery barn!
😳🥰Wow
OMG I absolutely love the flower like wood dish. I would have snagged that so fast!
A cowboy hat turned into a shade would look cute attached to the little cowboy boots. ❤
I no longer have tools or a workshop. I guess I just need to team up with a handy woodworker like you! Great easy projects, thanks.
Hi Karen, that clear, cut glass decanter might be a pattern called Marquis, by Waterford, or maybe Wedgwood. Of course, I could be wrong. Check for etching on the bottom of the decanter. All the best to you and Roger in 2024.
I did notice the matching glasss to the decanter on the shelf next to it. 😅I’m a crystal decanter collector
So glad you got the Orrefors and the McCoy boots. Great items. Great haul. The bunny might be from the book Peter Rabbit.
Not Peter Rabbit but close, mice are featured in another Beatrix Potter book, not sure of the title without googling. She wrote and illustrated a whole series of children’s books.
It is really easy to rewire a lamp. Yes, get it! YAY!

I love the clear glass. Especially the butter dish.

Karen , I think the print is Beatrix Potter , Mrs Tittlemouse and babies.
Karen, McCoy pottery is famous! I think people would buy the cowboy boots lamp, even without the shade… they can get their own shade.
100 💯 agree
Agree just because it is so cute! McCoy is a bonus. A burlap or bandana lampshade would work.
@@jamieomahen2656 I think I saw a burlap shade there.
Don’t know if it’s true but I was told “the real McCoy” originally was used to refer to McCoy pottery.
Karen, I thought you said we ate lunch, we had Peter Mangelli. I thought....oh...that sounds fancy. 😮 Then, it occurred to me that you said peanut butter and jelly. 😂Lol. And yes, that looks like a tractor seat. 😊
🤭😂☺️
Same for me, thought she gave us the name of a restaurant. Then translated to PBJ😅
I think nobody here will ever really retire. You're having far too much fun!!!
Love the orrefors crystal!
Yes Roger is correct! tea lights in the bottom and wax melts or scented oil in the pottery tops
I totally thought it was a tractor seat!! Judy
The butter dish is Hocking Wexford pattern. We had some back in the 70’s. Looks like it sells.
It's gorgeous!
I would have picked up that monkey pod snack set. It would be easy to make a bottom since it wouldn't be seen and the lazy susan portion seems like it's built into the top portion. Love the Orrefores (Swedish high quality). ❤ Mouse is a Beatrix Potter print❤

Fondue , you have several forks so you don’t double dip.

Hi Karen. That mouse print is a Beatrix Potter famous mouse!! Heheee
I think it’s Mrs. Tittlemouse?
I love that Roger has all his items pre wrapped and labeled….saving on shelf storage
He only pre packages clothing, everything else is on shelves
The butter dish is called Wexford, by Anchor Hocking, made in the 50’s and 60’s. some Wexford pieces are still made today like the cream and sugar.
Yes that is a famous mouse - from one of Beatrix Potter’s books. She wrote and illustrated a series of children’s books featuring animals.
The wood bowls are awesome!! They dont need the spinner😅😅
I love how you are always teasing your husband, you guys are so cute!!!!❤
Others have probably commented; red bowl (bubble pattern) & butter dish are vintage Anchor Hocking. Butter dishes are always a quick sale for me. Mother & baby mouse are Beatrix Potter😄
WHAT an amazing score on that PBK light fixture!!! WOW🤩
Cut the nub off the bottom of the wood flower bowl set and put felt on the bottom. Someone would still purchase it even if it doesn’t rotate.
thought the same
Hi Karen, Shillington seems like the best Goodwill for your area! Love that you both eat PBJ in the car! You guys are definitely great thrifters! Cheers, Pat🎉
I have the glass butter dish. My mom had it when I was growing up. What’s I like is it’s been knocked around and is still in perfect condition.
Yes! That is a famous mouse!!! Beatrice Potter Series...Peter Rabbit...💞💞🙃💞💞

Another fun, exciting, & educational video. Thank you, Karen, for taking the time to do these videos & explain why you do or don't buy a particular item
Luv your video!!! You give so much helpful information on so many levels…you’re a smart beautiful woman just like your daughters!😊🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
Nice lamp. GW brought a rack out this morning and had North Face and Patagonia jackets which I scooped up.
Karen I'm about to start work but would love to shop with you. I love hunting for bargains. Sue in Illinois I do agree what you said about Pennsylvania goodwill. I see you always finding great stuff.
We had a butter dish just like the glass one in your video when I was a kid. I’m 69 and I have it still.
Love shopping with both of you. Something very heartwarming when you interact together. A perfect match Xx
Like I said before I love your videos. You're so smart. Clara

Yes the lidded jar is green onyx and very nice. 💚🤑

Love seeing the storage! It’s so inspiring and each day I move closer to being this organized 🤞 😊
Oh and be chatty! We love a chatty Karen ❤
Put up some string lights that are usually for outdoor gardens
2 matching glasses to the decanter on the shelf below. Nice finds on the crystal.
Thx soooo much for showing what sold. It really helps me! ❤❤❤😊😊😊
The little mouse picture is of Hunca Munca from the book A Tale of Two Bad Mice, by Beatrix Potter. Wonderful book!
Yes, I was coming here to say that too! I had the little book Two Bad Mice as well as a child - I loved it!
Hi Karen, Karen here also. We bought LED lights from Sam’s Club to hang in our garage. They are about 3 ft long, have chains that are adjustable and can connect together. You and Roger are so sweet together, you make me smile I lost my husband in 2011 , so love the time you together.
Silk is a natural fiber….cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Best long John underwear for snow skiing are pure silk.
I teach history and would have loved the Henry piece.
That’s a gem globe. They sell for alot because they sell new for $500 n up. My parents bought a new one in the early 90’s. 😊😊😊

I love a pretty butter dish too…!😁❤️
I believe the red bowl is Anchor Hocking
The red glass looks like ruby red glass to me! Gorgeous! You always make my day so much better Karen and also Roger!
Hi Karen, Fun video! Loved your haul and always love watching you pull sales. Silks have been used for winter sports instead of long johns.
That sweet mouse and baby print made my heart melt. I want it.❤
The cowboy boot lamp was was adorable and vintage. Shades are easy to find at goodwill.
I love the butter dish! Here in NC we have a 100 yard sale in the spring and I found not one but two similar for $3.00 each.
It’s like your blue bubble!
Maybe poporri and a little water candle on bottom?????
Oh my goodness, thank you for the laughs you two. 😂
You and Roger are just sweethearts! Love you both!
Another great video! Always a good day when you can fill 3 or 4 carts !! Thanks for taking us along !
