I just rented one for a trip in Tasmania (15 days). It was a basic model with the 2.2L diesel engine. Goes OK excellent on highways and handles reasonably well on winding roads. Plenty of room. We had 4 adults and plenty of baggage. Great boot space. Front right hand pillar is a real issue on winding roads (right hand bends). The A/C is quite OK. Passing at speed is a bit of a problem (not sure if that is a gearing or engine issue) The car is fit for purpose. Probably wouldn't buy one but it is quite OK.

I've seen a few of these getting around, and every time I end up stopping and staring... They're just such a bizarre looking vehicle - but in a good way

For $74K drive away, Hyundai Australia chose against to have front and 2nd row armrests (available in overseas markets); truly a major omission to improve driver and passenger comfort. And a schnitzy, poor sounding 6 speaker stereo when the KIA Carnival has what, 12?? A deal breaker for me certainly.

The sound system is horrendous… surely they have the option to put in something better!

What kills this is the missing armrest from the front seats that are on the overseas models, how uncomfortable, really, it will stop sales here in Australian……🤔

It was fine for me but I agree!

This thing has almost as much torque as the 2.0t stinger 😭 really wish Kia brought in the 2.5T like in other countries

I’ve seen a few around. The driver looks really odd in them- I see what you mean by sitting high and can almost see your legs! Driver and passenger windows may be great in size for visibility but they look awfully stupid.

Certainly agree that the logo lets the brand down.

Of all the issues you pick the logo. You can't be serious.

Its the most ugliest thing on the road, what the hell were they thinking. Looks so crusty and old to me, doesn’t look modern at all. Giant rolling turd. 💩 haha. I cant understand why you would design a van like that. Kia Carnival is so attractive, this is hideous.

Would I buy one of these? I did, well the wife did.The middle of the range Elite. Drove from Perth to home 1700Ks. very enjoyable and comfortable drive, cornering really good on our big sweeping corners, enough power to overtake the multitude of roadtrains encountered. I found the car speakers good but wasn't really blasting them. I really like the car.
