- The SAP or Substance Abuse Professional is a person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol program regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.
The SAP represent the major decision point (and in some cases the only decision point) an employer may have in choosing whether or not to place an employee behind the steering wheel of a school bus, in the cockpit of a plane, at the helm of an oil tanker, at the throttle of a train, in the engineer compartment of a subway car, or at the emergency control valves of a natural gas pipeline. The SAP’s responsibility to the public is enormous!

Watching this because I feel like my life is over because I tested positive on a DOT random. went to a party during the weekend and fucked up. Talked to the doctor this morning and when he told me my heart dropped instantly. Haven’t talked to my company yet but I’m taking it as if I’m fired. Wish me luck.

Your life is not over, you are no longer working for assholes. Example: You can no longer drive because you smoked a joint yet a morbidly obese driver is not considered a risk. Drivers who are border-line retarded and are more likely to cause an accident while sober are acceptable. Trucking company recruiters (read: lying bastards) cannot find drivers because none can pass a drug test and/or are felons. Be glad your through with it.

The most unsafe shit is you make drivers work 70 hours a week for shit pay every time I've gone to orientation they preach safety after you're in the truck all safeties out the door balls to the wall and let's go no matter what it takes so where does the safety start,.... Drivers don't get any overtime I think all drivers need to be paid by the hour somewhere in the industry somebody needs to cough up the money it's a lot of hours spent away from home there's so much overtime it's not being paid to truck drivers right now it's a bullshit industry,....
If you hold a CDL stay away from CBD oils, not all CBD oils are created equal, some have less some have more THC

So even though I completed the sap process, when I go back up to renue my medical card then I have to mark yes? And then they won’t renue my medical card? So my CDL is useless? And that’s referring to have I used an illegal substance in the past two years?

When you sign up for SAP..do they observe any urine test..or when sent to test..does the test facility do sn observed test?only asking,cause i definitely have a shy bladder..

I have questions I went to less the truck not company driver and I'm really not using drugs or alcohol so because I know my self they send me test I'm not employee ok in the paper said pre-employee I didn't sign eny think can they put report in my cleaninghous on me or other or no? because I'm not get cut or be random or anything else

@uninstallpls just did my second drug test yesterday. Passed my first one and will definitely pass my second. I’ll get the results Tuesday and will be cleared to go back to work!
@uninstallpls I’m out of buffalo ny. Cost me $475 cash originally and I had to pay $55 cash for both drug test. Getting a company job may be tough right now being fresh on my record but I’m an owner operator so I won’t have any trouble.

I have been released to take my return to duty test. I have been terminated from my job so now how do I take my return to duty test to get my CDL back to try and find another job?

@@hellhound6598 I was also referred by the Clearinghouse to the DOT Drug and alcohol Compliance at 800-225-3784. I'll reply back on what they say.

I failed a dot drug screen for amphetamine from taking something called "yellow jackets" which had ephedrine in them but I bought them over the counter at a truck stop how can I appeal the test

Im a driver from California..if i have to say yes ive failed a drug test before on my medical card paperwork,that will deny me the medical card..correct?and if the exams are observed,do they offer assistance for those who have shy bladder syndrome..dont see how sao is gonna help my situation for failure of a pre employment test,if i cant renew my medical card..please advise if thos is the same for California drivers and if they offer a shy bladder syndrome process..all sounded good and was informative..but if i xant renew my CDL medical card,then what good did the SAP evaluation do for us drivers??if im allowed to be non observed all clothing removed and not observed,then i can provide a sample..shy bladder syndrome is real folks .i at rimes cant piss in public restroom if somebody stands in the urinal next to me..facts..

Heads up truckers unless the company you did drug test for hire you after the sap completed you won't get a job anywhere else companies have a no drug policy I did sap meet face to face than a zoom meeting 4 aa meetings and need a pre-employment test with 6 follow up the minimum you can get and have applied to a bunch all I here is we have a no drug policy the recruiter will still try but the director who hire you will say we have a no drug policy and mine was for teeth being pulled and had 12 hydro done took all and failed after words 2days after took them I had been take them

Do the sap have the drivers drug history, if any?
I’m a SAP. Not usually. Information is all self report unless a probation officer, courts, employer, or another professional shares history. On the other hand, it’s not in the best interest of a client to lie. The courts/PO or employer reading the report would see employee as deceitful and have proof of conflicting information which could also be grounds for termination.

Their just worried about is your truck reliable and is gone make the delivery im still not touching weed for a looonng time it's not worth losing your cdl hope this helps brother
@Shannon Butler mines was a pre employment too at dart in Atlanta and one of the drivers said he failed a pre employment and it shouldn't be on my dac 🤷🏽♂️ so hopefully we're in luck and the owner of this daully company told me once I buy my Pete he'll help me find load and I can run under his authority till I get my own authority

Okay, my question is When somebody is tested and it comes out positive.
And the person didn't consume it. And did not partake in the activities. Because I because I unless this happens to you Don't know exactly Don't know unless it happens to you. Because I can account for The Times that I know for a fact. That wasn't around long enough. Who are things to be relevant? But doing research and digging up. What can contribute to absorbit threw your body close your hair. And some of the things they were saying were actually strikingly scary. But I am not on the clearing house. OK and I will let go.
Because half the test was positive and half, the test was negative. I do not at all have a substance abuse issue. The issue is point of contact. Now because I let my The d o t examiner know about what had happened. It's a bad living situation and I wish this upon no one ever. Add some of the things that keep coming up. That people say, oh, you should have left. It's really hard when you're trying to make money. So you can move if I had the money definitely without a question of a doubt. Between the and a hard place but I know I would test negative why because I don't use. And I'm still living they're and 5 days ago had to take a drug test in order to Get my medical card updated and the test came back negative 7or 8 cups later in the office .could not step outside while waiting inside. Is there any I can do that I can to that would set the record straight?since there is help for the ones that are suggesting what about the ones that are not that has been labeled .AGAIN till something like this happens to you .you have no idea where you are not completely sure about the drugs smell like or anything but finding out that it can be absorbed in various ways that even if they are not in the same place. And finding that that I was stepping on landmines and I didn't even know. Because I used to leave drinks next to my Bed and and if consuming it that way if they touched my drink or drank out of it without my knowledkeep in mind. I stop doing that. I don't do that anymore because of them.
And I don't even eat in the house anymore. I have to eat outside the house. That is how bad it is getting. To remove these people, the cops don't do absolutely Do anything to help the matter six times I think it's enough for it to be a problem. So
This is my dilemma I know. I can pass the test. Because I am an innocent bystansir what what can be done in order for Validation. Because again, I don't have a drug issue because of the people around me. That does affected me and I was exposed.
it affected my test. Unknowingly did I suspect that there was something wrong? And now I gotta fight uphill now because of these Idiots And I did nothing wrong but be in the house that I was in for the last five years. So my punishment is I gotta prove myself for something I didn't do. Because I can take all the drug tests. Unless it happens to you, you have no idea what 1 will go through in this situation.. Because I know for effect. I'm not going back there once. I get a job or if I get a job. I May as well have been doing this drug because it's even worse even if you didn't do it. And it should never be that way. Regardless on what methodology or ideas or preconceived notion that people have you don't know. II lived in a house that I lived in for 5 years. And because of certain degenerates that came, there is now interfered with my career.
Things are not cut-and-dry in this situation. I was once like everybody else thinking the same thing. Oh, that's just an excuse, okay? Let it happen to you and then find oit's even worse than doing the drugs. By not doing it. At all, I don't have a need for it I am forty eight years old Why in the hell would I start doing it now. And I really think people also need to be talking about this as well and not shut a light on innocent people that may unknowingly touch something and absorb it through their skin, their hair. And now they are gonna test positive for a drug that they didn't take like I did.. But all people can say is all you have to consume it. It's not quite the case there, I'm proof of that.. And I think people need to bring this to attention to the forefront. And how people can minimize the risk if there are no forced situation like. I am where I don't have the money to move per se at the moment. I am working on trying to get out of there believe me I am trying. But because my hair was expoand nothing else.

And not knowing what these people do when I'm not there. There's another story. I really don't want to think about it but II do know they do smoke on my but I'm a smoker of cigarettes. And I know I don't leave ashes on the bed there's no reason. So I think that might have had something to do with it. Shaking it off cleaning it off.
Maybe that was the point of contact. I don't tell you what it smells like because I don't use. Like some type of nose whistle or something, some people haven't I guess I don't cause I cause I don't have a d*** clue what it smells like when they're doing it or if they're doing it there. I don't know.. I am in a part of a situation that shouldn't happen. It was a lot of variables that should have happened but didn't one getting these people removed from the house? It's a problem. And this is something Congress, and all these other people. May are whoever the change the rules to intervene in the situation. Where somebody that is looking to be with someone. Because they don't wanna be lonely and don't have the mental capacity to realize. These people are bad that should be premise for intervention.. But that didn't happen.
And they are known criminals.
And they have more rights than I do, apparently. Because the stupid politicians were paying innocent. People are paying the price and it needs to stop. Because I know 3 months from now, I'm not gonna have a problem 3 months after that. I'm not gonna have a problem a week from that. It's because why should I move out of the house that I've been in? Because of these people who are emboldened by the police each and every time they are at this house. I had to continue in to do the drugs in the house. But if I were to react. I Would have going to jail, but I'm not going to jail for slapping somebody around that would be pointless. It would have to be worth it. But I tried to not get and I tried to stay relatively calm. Because I should not have to go through this because of them. Their Dumb ass Habits. It's a problem that needs to be put.

Because you because you can get it without ingesting it or consuming it. And that needs to be also mentioned everywhere.. And not be assumed that you are taking using any of that when you had nothing to do with it. But there is nothing for this type of situation for people that aren't taking aren't using.
But because of about situation, something innocent is touching the sink.
This problems need to be spoken about. Not shoved to the side, not creating another excuse. Because obviously it's true.
Weather whether I was there or not, that is totally relevant. I was speaking on behalf of the ones that point a contact somewhere. Because I didn't test positive until they showed up that's all i'm saying. And now I have a little bit of o c d because of this now. I watch what I touch Door handles and wash my Hand sanitizers . Because there is on Google talking about contact transfer. I wish it was just an excuse. But apparently everything they laid pretty much everything wrong. But

Just to let all drivers know if u fail drug test even if you completed sap you will not get a job driveing companies have a no drug policy you will have to wait 5 years and in 2024 your license will be down graded anyway by clearinghouse waste of money I know been there done that
