Rocksteady actually went out of their way to support it in its game development, they gave away all of the combat, predator and traversal mechanics of Arkham City to WB Games Montreal, they also made sure to include some references and the main suit from Arkham Origins in Arkham Knight to make it officially canon in the Arkham timeline. They have been begging for what feels like a year now for a remaster, Rocksteady hasn't given them an answer, and they have been hiding the from half of the Arkham fanbase. Anyone on PlayStation is screwed, they put this game ( which was released a not even a month before the ps4 ) in the "classics catalog" which is full of ps2 games. You need to 18 extra dollars to play it with the ps5. Considering the ps5 is about $650, its $668 just to an extremely laggy Verizon of the game. If you have bad internet, the screen will literally look like the fake crash from AA.

I legit don't understand why people don't like Origins. I understand the false advertising bringing joker as a twist final boss may have soured some opinions but I still think it was a great game. In fact it is my favorite Arkham game

I would love an Arkham Origins director's cut as well that deals with all the cut content and the story they originally wanted to tell. All I want is a remaster with upgraded Graphics, improved traversal, bug fixes, and maybe some new Side missions to freshen the experience up a bit, also include all the DLC. ABSOLUTELY NO REMAKE, I guarantee these Modern Game Devs would 100% fuck it up, removing, adding, altering things for the “Modern Audience.” Also Rocksteady doesn’t control the Arkham IP, that’s WB. I still hope Modern Rocksteady gets shut down for what they did with SSKTJL.

As others have said this was made by Camoflaj not rocksteady, its relevant because they are a VR games company so they were not going to make anything else except a VR game. Rockstar was busy creating a live service looter shooter at the time while these guys were making a true Arkham game.

WB seem to be weirdly all in on live service for some reason despite them all failing and Harry Potter doing great. Rocksteady have lost most of their original members and are having massive layoffs, they might not recover. Sony seems to have basically abandoned PSVR 2 They have all had opportunities to do the games most people wanted but failed Meta is the only one actually pushing VR and by extension Arkham forward but yes obviously they want to push their own ecosystem as annoying as that is for accessibility.

It's the worse of the arkham serie, for me this game need to be change a lot for a remake. This game has : The worst scenario (Joker, inconsistency,...) The worst visual (not the graphics, but the lighting and artistic direction which is very inconsistent) The worst gameplay (the news gadgets, the electric gloves,...) A lake of purpose (If this game didn't exist it wouldn't change the story.)

The game just needs a remaster, yeah. Personally I would love a remake, but it would have to be handled with a lot of tact and care. I actually have ideas on how I’d personally remake all of the Arkham Games, but that’s worthy of an essay and not a YT comment. I honestly don’t blame Rocksteady because the Easter Eggs in Knight really made it seem like they understood and liked the game. My take? It’s not Rocksteady or Montreal. Those are subsidiaries. It’s WB. Look at the DCEU for 2 seconds and you can see how the same company would make the same mistake. It is so weird to be seeing people go “Only recently are people realizing it’s good.” There was an entire subset of fans crying out against AO not being included in 2016. The Completionist ranked it the highest out of every Arkham Game. People have liked it for a long time. That being said… I get the sentiment. I’ve heard there might be some legal issues with some elements of the game and combined that with the fact that, even though Arkham origins is a masterpiece, the game is very buggy and seen as hit or miss by the general gaming community they might not see it as financially worth it. The launching bodies is definitely an fps issue. Capping it at 60 does seem to reduce it and having the community patch helps

Rock steady doesn't own the rights to origins it's all WB so you can't ask or expect Rocksteady to do anything

Is not that Rocksteady doesn’t want you to know about origins, the reason asylum and city got remastered because they are developed by RS themselves, now with Arkham trilogy in nintendo is save to say the same to remaster a game that has a beginning, middle and end while origins is a prequel wich is not the same to say it is a beginning and yes just to keep the franchise longer, if knight was the third game to end the franchise while ps4 and Xbox one wasn’t released Batman Arkham games would never have amazing graphics comparing to other good graphics games. Rocksteady was waiting a new console generation to finally “end” their franchise when it comes to Batman so they could make fans wait 5 years to play an Arkham game with new consoles so to make them distracted they asked a team to develop a Arkham prequel game. And another thing origins wasn’t remastered because is the only Arkham game that is called by name, there was no asylum, no city and off course no knight. That’s is called Arkham origins because it’s a game that has no reason to mention Arkham something which will be the same thing with Arkham shadow because the asylum isn’t built yet. So that’s why asylum, city and knight gets more attention than Arkham what exactly ? Oh yea origin, now the same thing will happen to shadow and also happens to vr by rocksteady, have you ever asked yourself why Arkham vr wasn’t included in Arkham collection yet ?
Honestly they should remaster it so they coincide with Shadow's release, since it's a sequel to that game. It'd be good brand synergy and WOULD guarantee at least one of the two sells well.

As others have said this was made by Camoflaj not rocksteady, its relevant because they are a VR games company so they were not going to make anything else except a VR game.
Rockstar was busy creating a live service looter shooter at the time while these guys were making a true Arkham game.

They have all had opportunities to do the games most people wanted but failed Meta is the only one actually pushing VR and by extension Arkham forward but yes obviously they want to push their own ecosystem as annoying as that is for accessibility.

They will never do it, it was a filler game in between City and Knight. It's a really good game, I like it a lot, but I know that it's not a masterpiece, it's obvious that this was a filler project but it obviously had enough people that cared about it so it is a good game in many aspects.

This game has :
The worst scenario (Joker, inconsistency,...)
The worst visual (not the graphics, but the lighting and artistic direction which is very inconsistent)
The worst gameplay (the news gadgets, the electric gloves,...)
A lake of purpose (If this game didn't exist it wouldn't change the story.)
Ok, not every Arkham game is made by rocksteady, rocksteady made, arkham aslyum, city, knight, suicide squad and VR, Origins blackgate was made by armature studios, arkham asylum/city remastered was made by virtuos studio's, and arkham shadow is made by camouflaj, it annoys me when people think that every arkham game that comes out is made by rocksteady and they end up getting shit for a game that they didnt make
Rocksteady has almost zero involvement with this game if you want a remaster you gotta talk to WB Montreal and WB games as a whole

Personally I would love a remake, but it would have to be handled with a lot of tact and care. I actually have ideas on how I’d personally remake all of the Arkham Games, but that’s worthy of an essay and not a YT comment.
I honestly don’t blame Rocksteady because the Easter Eggs in Knight really made it seem like they understood and liked the game.
My take? It’s not Rocksteady or Montreal. Those are subsidiaries. It’s WB. Look at the DCEU for 2 seconds and you can see how the same company would make the same mistake.
It is so weird to be seeing people go “Only recently are people realizing it’s good.” There was an entire subset of fans crying out against AO not being included in 2016. The Completionist ranked it the highest out of every Arkham Game. People have liked it for a long time.
That being said… I get the sentiment. There’s some fans on release of it that have a TON of City bias and peeps who talk garbage about the game so much it’s so confusing to deal with.
But frick it m, I like being positive so Arkham Origins is my favorite Arkham Game. I’d *would* argue it to be more objectively the best game but I’m not going to because YT comments.
I love the boss fight, the story is one of the greatest highlights, it has an amazing DLC, (that I never got to play 😢) it has the best enemy variety out of all the games, and it’s the only game which actually bothered to expand Gotham’s map instead of cutting you off from previous locations like Arkham Knight. (And arguably city, but… eh. The plot didn’t really allow that possibility anyway, so I give a pass)

It may be an unpopular opinion, but IMO origins had a waayy better story, soundtrack and atmosphere than Arkham knight.
I’ve heard there might be some legal issues with some elements of the game and combined that with the fact that, even though Arkham origins is a masterpiece, the game is very buggy and seen as hit or miss by the general gaming community they might not see it as financially worth it.
Although honestly they really should look into remastering the game in some form. Especially since Arkham shadow is releasing next month and it is a sequel to the events of Arkham origins
