I started wearing a jean jacket at the begin of the year. People use to try to make fun of it but I kept on wearing it (dark blue jean jacket and black or grey pants). Now I started a trend in my school guys are wearing the and girls are too. The point is that I found this video and it just proves I was right all along. JEAN JACKETS NEVER GO OUT OF STYLE!
That outfit specific has become pretty basic. But you can tune it up by adding an open flannel shirt, or changing the white shirt for burgundy, blue, black, olive green and switching the jeans and t-shirt colours. What I did myself, was to buy a dark wash denim jacket. I've paired it with light wash, burgundy, white, grey jeans, and khaki chinos. From there, you can add whatever t-shirt or henley you want (I avoid black and graphic tees though), and on the shoes, I've paired it with white sneakers and brown suede chukka boots. It all works greatly
Levi's faded blue jacket, unbuttoned and without a shirt worn with black leather jeans, doubles your chances of getting laid at a party. You just have to choose between the girls and the guys. LMAO. Contrary to what many people assume, more than half the interest is from fit girls. LOL.
Denim jackets were made to go with jeans. I know you city-types have adopted the look. And you guys have your own "vogue" idea of how denim jackets are to be worn in order to "look cool" in your world of "being cool city-fashion". But out here in the mid-west and southwest where denim is our standard work clothes AND casual wear, a clean, worn denim jacket will go just fine with a clean, worn pair of jeans anytime. The two go hand-in-hand. We could care less about being "In Vogue" or not.
Dave The Introvert There’s a difference between wearing something because that’s what everybody around you wears, sort of like a midwestern uniform I guess, and wearing something to look good and not look like someone from the midwest. Perhaps “city-types” have many options and are not socially tied to a dress code. Same applies to food. City-types like to experiment and enjoy a wide variety of cuisines because they can. It would be silly to brag about your daily eating of meatloaf and potatoes or mac and cheese or hamburger helper. By the way, I did live in the midwest for many years, so it’s not like everybody there lives on the farm or there are no “city-types”.

i generally agree w/ur assesment of lighter deeper denims. However..i have a great eye and found a pr of distressed(not ripped) levis that i wear w/a Levi distressed and slightly warn looking jacket........a great match..looks real done well without looking studied or matchy matchy......Im a designer and think it depends on how you can style yourself if you pay real attention to how you really look in that mirror..no steadfast rules in my book...my mom used to say...wear what looks well on you and dont follow trends if it doesnt work on your body type etc...........so..its all good if you know whats up w/yourSELF....thanks for your vids........i find em really entertaining and informative

I don´t fully agree with the denim on denim statement that is made here. i have a dark selvedge raw denim jacket with a jeans that is from exactly the same fabric with the same dark color. i wear it with a white dress shirt into the jeans and some white nike blazers. When the sun shines put on you´re rayban clubmasters and you got that casual nonchalant look but still classy.
Wearing a denim jacket and jeans of the same wash is called the Canadian tuxedo. If that's your style and it works, that's great. Style varies by region anyway
that's an awesome Levi jacket! it is in a dark summit wash I believe. I have the same but for some reason the contrast at the front doesn't look as cool :(

second hand clothing is a good option. it's good to buy a used blazer then ask a tailor to make it fits you than to buy an expensive straight from the rack one that doesnt fit
Currently watching this video as my most used jean jacket (a medium Levis with a nice red cloth interior) is in the wash. I only wear it when doing chores though, because it's a size medium and while the arm length is still acceptable. I think the waist area is looking just a bit on the short side.
My jean jacket is from Levis slim fit and I have a dark blue and a medium blue. For pants I wear it with khakis, green, gray, black, blue pants or chinos

Awesome tips, but I do have a question. I have sported Jeans' Jackets with very similar colored Jeans' Pants, with contrasting T's, some very decent boots along with headgear, a bad-ass set of Batman belt buckles exposed, and I thought it came of quite well. Comments?
Ralph Lauren and Gap denim jackets do not shrink, they are true fit and awesome! Levi’s denim jackets can be tricky as some of them shrink two sizes. That was my experience with Levi’s denim jackets and I was able to return them fortunately. Also, the Levi’s had a tighter waist which meant a more snug belly. There are so many makers of quality denim jackets that you don’t need to spend a fortune on them.
