Dude took the words right out of my mouth. The barbers in my local area seem as if they do not know anything. It's like you have to tell them how to cut it and they still can't get it right. They also make it incredibly awkward by hardly saying a word to you the entire time you are there and then you feel bad if they mess it up but are too afraid to say anything based off them being so quiet.
Exactly. I hate conflict so I try to avoid to say anything... Because if I loose my temper i might get mean lol
@@aftab277 Yup! As I start my own journey of cutting hair I wanna make sure I have a solid consultation, don't rush the cut, and fix and mistakes if there are any after wards while making solid conversation during the cut to make the client feel at home.
The thing with "traditional" barbers, is that they learned the practice from others and gained experience with time. They are really good with cutting your hair but only if you know what you want. Giving advice on how to style your hair to maximize what you got is not something they are good with. I believe that's mainly because they didn't really study the profession.
