I’ll never forget her. I know I wasn’t as appreciative in the moment, but looking back she really helped set me up for success. I miss doing fries! 😭

It's a vicious and repetitive hamster wheel with a lot of yelling and sleight of hand with high alert nerves! I don't miss it. Though I never worked at a McDonald's, I see their employees always moving when I go. It takes a special kind of courage to work in that environment.
I love how every McDonald's is set up the same way. In high school, I used to be in that spot and the rush of cold air coming through the open window at the drive-through would feel so good as I was getting scorched from the hot fryer and the burning heating lamp.

I always look at the kitchen in horror when going to mcdonalds. This video made me realize working at mcdonalds might not be as chaotic as I assumed (still pretty chaotic imo). But once you understand what the different chimes and alarm sounds are from, it clears a lot of "distractions" and "feel of being overwelmed". It becomes convenient for the worker even, having a timer and all. (I did not know this, thank you)
i have visited mcdonalds resturants many places around the world, there is a HUGE difference from country to country how they run. UK is chaos, and food gets cold and staff is just walking around randomly. Meanwhile in Denmark the food is warm, and staff knows what to do, and they help eachother. Like a whole new level. Germany is a mix between UK and Denmark. So i really depends on where you go.
I part-time at a local Chick-fil-A which my dad operates. Through high school, I did this part of the Back-of-house a lot (like 7/10 shifts) and the realization that this position never really talks just hit me. No conversation, often deep in thought, no words other than when they need a restock or to make a reply, even then it's like maybe two or three words. Now in College, I only come back to work over the summer and winter holidays in catering. I've never felt more unprepared to socialize and talk with clients because of this position. Lots of respect for this video; loved watching it. Brought back some good and bad memories from the highschool years.
We have a McDonalds in my neighborhood, and the staff are very hard working people,we go there for coffee, we call it "our McDonald's, thank to all those ard-individual for your hard work! Love my McDonalds😊❤
You should tell my McDonald's to fill the fries the way you do. You know, by actually filling it? You're doing customers a huge service actually filling the containers, thank you.
I used to work at a few stores, and most managers will tell employees to pinch the front and back to make it appear filled.. Unless the situation is dire, I would never do that.
lunch rush fry making was something else where I had worked. I remember the one day, we easily went through 6+ boxes of fries off of just a few orders. We had some orders that wanted 40 medium fries, some that wanted 20 large fries, just so many fries. And the salt would build up so much it'd become something you couldn't even smell. The salt would mix with the grease and melt into the background smell. Your clothing would smell of grease and salt for *months*.
I work in McDonald's in Sweden, and I would love to have that as a lunch rush. I remember several times when I stood at the fries and had between six and eight baskets in the oil for three hours straight and it was still barely enough.
i took a lot of pride in my job at the fry station @ wendy's. it's a small job and one most people will write off, but i found it fun and satisfying to balance ensuring fries were always fresh without making people wait too long.
This was strangely calming. I used to work fries at Mcdonalds but I was also packing bags, getting my own refills on fries, felt like I was never just there and the fry timer was never long enough.
Dude, idk if it’s just me, but the way he salted the fries satisfied me so much Sometimes I get unsalted fries at McDonald’s, so this just made me so glad Time stamp: 3:16
If they are un salted either you got it by accident or it was fresh out of the fryer. i get them with no salt then put my own salt on them to insure their fresh.
I genuinely wish the bk I work at had the same fry Method y’all have😭 it looks so convenient to put the fry basket there and have them automatically come out instead of ripping bags open and having to grab boxes😂😂😂
Man, I see how efficient it is at McDonald’s. Also what I think is super sick is the way that you put the small fry bag on the end of the scooper. keep up the hard work man maybe one day you’ll actually own the McDonald’s or become the store manager or maybe leave McDonald’s 😂
This technique is learned after a bit of experience by many who do fries often. And yeah, better leave this shit. On the other end, it's a great school to learn how to work under pressure, communicate and for coordination with colleges
@@leeroymlg4692 No i'm not ! don't get me wrong. When i say, leave this shit, it's only because it's a very stressful job, with garbage working hours and it's paid like shit, unless you can be a director, but even with that statut, in plenty of them, you still work "on the field" sometimes. And the last thing, which is for me a big thing, is that you smell like french fries and fried chicken, EVERYDAY ! and you come home with it, your home smell a bit like it and even with 4 shower a day, like i used to do, your hair still smell like it. So, in conclusion, it's a very good school for learning how to work, especially for young people that want a simple job to begin with, cool working hours, because they don't care to work late and and to have 2 shifts in a day, and they're physically strong for handling it. But, within a year, it become really frustrating, tiring, stressful, and you feel it in your legs. I know that there is a need for workers like that, every job is a real job and should be taken serious. We have a lot of people working jobs that are very difficult but if they don't do it, we can't litteraly live for a week, maybe less. And in the same time, i think we have an obligation to make their life easier, but the people running the business want profit most of the time and don't think about that at all, that's the principal problem. So, yeah that's all i was saying sorry for the book i just wrote, but i wanted to make clear my intentions ! :)
Fun fact. The golden lines on the inside of the mcdonalds fries cartons represent french fries and are to guide you on how full they are supposed to be. If you can see them, its not full enough. If you cant see them, then they are full.
Crazy he keeps up with the whole rotation. Serving, cooking, reloading baskets. Fries sell fast. Sometimes they sell fast in just one order that they move the next car to the yellow line. Thats a constant job looking at it. Serving the diner and drive thru,,, one station for both.
I love this guy’s efficiency! He’s definitely a pro! Well, I guess you’d have to be if you’re responsible for the Fries Station during the busy lunch rush! Much props to the Fries Master! ☮️🖖🏽
If you watch other McDonalds workers videos, you'll get that sense - efficiency. McD's is the king of Fast Food, and they are fast. Burger presses to cook both sides of the burgers at the same time, constant cleaning, constant resupplies, cooking and placing in their heat bins. I respect that about them, how efficient they are.
@@Supperdude9 exactly mcdonalds is about convenience quick and easy food thats still not terrible. just to fill you up, quickly. the people that criticize the food quality should take that energy and apply it to their own life
This is heaven. I used to work at a McDonalds that covered a very wide area and it was hell. 3 times as much as this. We used to fill two frying baskets, each with one large AND one medium serving so every time the fries were done we had one very big pile of them which lasted about 3-4 minutes. It violated the rules but if we'd make less it would have held up all the restaurant so we didn't have a choice. The fries came out well fried though so at least we didn't serve poor food. Filtering the oil tho... now that was tricky....
in my short time working at mcdonalds they had me doing exactly this for about 6 hours straight since i was only 16. it was pretty fun except for the blazing heat that the lamp would put out to keep the fries warm. sometimes i would chill inside the freezer for a bit just to cool off on my way to get more fries
I used to work at McDonald's here in the Philippines and I miss being stationed at the fries station. Especially at peak hours(11am-1pm). I had to move fast otherwise the fries will be sevred later. I had to learn how to juggle 8 fry baskets just to catch up to demands. My foot are both left that's why I don't dance. But when you're stationed at the fries. Man your two foot will be 8 by the end of every shift.
I can say this is not just fun but the most relaxing position you can have in your fast food job, I did this at Burger King and man I actually miss it ^^
Unless you work in MaXburger fastfood, then you have to do the fries, fry vegetarian chops and various additions like chilli cheese, pack delivery orders, pass sauces and veggies to people on the other side of table, prepare flavour fries and do all of this on one position by yourself while keeping good times or managers will be angry lol

At least in my store, idk if they're all like that, we were in desperate need of a renovation. Also fries and nuggets were the same station. (regular and spicy nugs) and the chicken for the sandwiches was also cooked in the same oil things so if we're super busy you might have to wait for an open fryer lol. But anyway this video really makes me wish I had a gopro one of those days. I think it would be a cool thing to watch after the fact. It's actually pretty relaxing when you aren't the one worrying about keeping track of a bunch of orders. Though any pov I would make would probably include a lot more looking up at the order screen haha

This is pretty cool to see from a workers point of view. I think you will be able to get more product out the front if you priorities making sure that there is always fries cooking. If you do that, they will be cooking while you pack the fries.
Whatever job you guys are doing you should always feel a sense of pride doing the best you can, no matter how low it's considered within society. I'd happily hire this man in a really technical job.
To each their own. I take more pride in my work when it is more valuable. If it's not valued, it's not pride I feel. It's accomplishment. I accomplished my end of the bargain to receive the money I need to live and buy things. My pride in work comes from value I provide that I also hold value in. I hold value in it if the company recognizes my value. If they don't, then that's the relationship they've established.
@@Axxidous Yeah it's definitely each to their own and I do love that you opened with that, however I think that if you instinctively try your best at things you think are beneath you, you're more grounded and definitely worthy of more respect.
@@nateblanche2551 Yeah I started with that because I wanted to make it clear that I wasn’t stating my perspective was one I felt everyone had to share. And to an extent, I agree with your ideals as well. But that’s only the case when I have the motivation to feel that way, which I, personally, don’t when others don’t value the work I’m doing. It’s not that I feel the work is beneath me. It’s just that I will only go above and beyond when I feel like it out of my own sensation of accomplishment, but will also just do what I’m supposed to do and no extra when I don’t feel like it because if the work isn’t valued then it isn’t missed either. Unless it is, in which case they may start to show the work is valued. And because of that, I try to express the value in the work others do for me as well to help them recognize what they have to be proud of.

Memories rushing back. This was my first real job (16 years old, not at McDonald but at Burger King). Before that I was a paper boy. Being an immigrant child whose parents are 2 dirt poor chinese graduate students. This was a bit of a cultural shock. But looking back 30 years, this work reinforced what my parents kept on drilling into me -- we are in their country, we must be stronger than they are to have our day in the sun. And sure enough, my parents retired multimillionaires after working 25 years (they saved and invested 50% of income) after graduate school, and I'm also well on the way. We love America, it's so fair to those of us immigrants who are willing to study and work harder. This is what built America from backwater colonies to the most powerful country in the world. Don't ever forget that immigrant spirit and willingness to work harder. Make America great through studying and working hard, by merit, not by entitlement.
For those who don't know, even when you order no salt, there's still salt in the collection trays and on the scooper. So you'll still have some salt on your fries.
@whiff7241 worked at two separate mcdonald's, and that's never been a thing. All that matters is speed and money. It's sad when safety is in the budget, though they all preach that safety is #1 and has no cost.
I did this for 9 hours straight once when I was 16 on the hottest day of summer vacation. I've still got burn marks on my arms after I stressed out for an entire day (frying oil). There were SO many customers non-stop.
I used to work at McDonalds in highschool back in 2011. I was only there for a few months over the summer, but it's crazy how little things can spark nostalgic memories. Like just seeing how you attach the bags to the end of the fries scooper, or opening the fridge to the frozen fries containers...little things like that will just stay with you forever.

I’ll never forget her. I know I wasn’t as appreciative in the moment, but looking back she really helped set me up for success. I miss doing fries! 😭

This work may seem simple and easy on the surface, but it requires a lot of concentration. This man is very technical and skilled worker. respect

i love how much the fries just bounce and go airborne a little when hes mixing up the finished fries i also love the sounds they make too. 3:19
I left the food/retail industry 4 years ago after doing it for over 20 years, but my respect for the employees who still do it will never die.
Between these McDonalds POV's and the solo Barista's POV's, I cant get enough. Makes me want to do this just for fun.
It ain't fun!

(I did not know this, thank you)
Video is funded by mcdonald's mate. You get caught wearing a camera while working you get fired.
on a scale from very to extremely, how autistic are you?
I used to work fast food, and the timers beeping at me were so convenient that I wouldn't have to remember when I dropped food
i have visited mcdonalds resturants many places around the world, there is a HUGE difference from country to country how they run.

@@Chantrijuanderers fuvk off mate im better mcdonalds manager in turkey come here to 1v1
lunch rush fry making was something else where I had worked.

At Max in Sweden the fries station there also handles all vegetarian items for the kitchen.. Imagine the rushes.
Ye at my store in the UK it's like that all the time no stopping hahhaa
A few weeks ago we had over 60 medium fries ordered at once, an hour later it was finally down to 20

He's pretty generous with the 🍟fries.
i took a lot of pride in my job at the fry station @ wendy's. it's a small job and one most people will write off, but i found it fun and satisfying to balance ensuring fries were always fresh without making people wait too long.
The 50pc nuggets killed me when it first went on tiktok. Went thru nuggets faster than fries
This was strangely calming. I used to work fries at Mcdonalds but I was also packing bags, getting my own refills on fries, felt like I was never just there and the fry timer was never long enough.
Dude, idk if it’s just me, but the way he salted the fries satisfied me so much

how is that "many" ? its actually not much at all, considering most orders come with fries.
Man, I see how efficient it is at McDonald’s. Also what I think is super sick is the way that you put the small fry bag on the end of the scooper. keep up the hard work man maybe one day you’ll actually own the McDonald’s or become the store manager or maybe leave McDonald’s 😂
Those last words got me 💀
This technique is learned after a bit of experience by many who do fries often. And yeah, better leave this shit. On the other end, it's a great school to learn how to work under pressure, communicate and for coordination with colleges
How you gonna complement them and patronize them in the same comment lmao
So, yeah that's all i was saying
sorry for the book i just wrote, but i wanted to make clear my intentions ! :)
I feel like this hurts personally and at the same time heals that damage
Fun fact. The golden lines on the inside of the mcdonalds fries cartons represent french fries and are to guide you on how full they are supposed to be. If you can see them, its not full enough. If you cant see them, then they are full.
🫡🫡😱
Then the McDonald’s near my house has been deviating from SOP

Nice to see this side of MCD. Thank you for your hard work and lovely food
All you need is some lofi over this and then you should be good to go LMAO
I used to work at McDonald's here in the Philippines and I miss being stationed at the fries station. Especially at peak hours(11am-1pm). I had to move fast otherwise the fries will be sevred later. I had to learn how to juggle 8 fry baskets just to catch up to demands. My foot are both left that's why I don't dance. But when you're stationed at the fries. Man your two foot will be 8 by the end of every shift.

I can say this is not just fun but the most relaxing position you can have in your fast food job, I did this at Burger King and man I actually miss it ^^
Really? I find this video very relaxing, but this looks like a job that gets tiring after 1 week. I can't even imagine working here while hungry 😰

Great POV video of McDonald's!!
I worked at wendy's and the fry dispenser system in this video is so awesome. We had to get bags of fries from the freezer and just dump them in the baskets.
I guess it might just be the satisfaction of watching them all get fulflilled without the stress of seeing the ones yet to be.

I moved on working at restaurants and other hospitality jobs but by far I should admit that frying fries and be able to catch up with the orders were the most satisfying jobs I have had in my life….😌
