I've been many of these at some point in my TF2 career. Yes, if you stick with the game long enough, you eventually get bored of the same old defense loop and try other maps and modes, and find out how much more interesting the game gets when you leave 2fort. But I still have fond memories of learning on 2fort, with people's patience when I asked in my squeaker voice "How did you get on your dispenser?" I was the free to play sniper once, ironically before the game went free to play. I picked sniper because I knew my reaction time was crap and thought maybe that would fix it. Didn't know about mouse acceleration so I found aiming frustrating. Then I played engineer instead, turtling the intel for a little while before realizing I was bored out of my skull and moving to the hayroom. Then I moved across to the straight stairwell, with the dispenser behind the wall so that it would feed me metal without getting damaged by splash. Then I moved it down into the sink room because I realized my dispensers and sentries were for helping teammates instead of defending the objective. Then I tried to move it across the bridge. Then I tried playing spy and failed miserably. Then I tried playing sniper again and still sucked at that. I think after that I started branching out to other maps and playstyles, eventually settling on really loving medic. I find 2fort boring now, but I'll always have fond memories of it. The defensive design of the map allowed me to deal with opponents 1 on 1 as they came instead of running into giant confusing battles and dying instantly. The casual nature of the game, especially before it went free to play, really let me feel like I was under no pressure to hurry up. I was allowed to learn to fight and play at my own pace. Now tell me, everyone who finds 2fort boring, don't you find the tutorial of a game you know well to be boring most of the time?

I've been watching this on repeat in 2024 despite this video being 3 years old.
It's so dead-on in what goes on in 2fort, and the types of players you'll encounter.
I personally love the aggressive engineer one because my favorite strat on 2fort is sneaking into the enemy's intel room as engineer to build a nest and force the enemy to fight in their own base.
The part with the bots is me. From all bots is OMEGATRONIC the most common as he all of the 3 types.
I love watching stuff like this when I can't play. Thanks for a good story
Criminally underrated.
Im the Friendly engineer who trolls and puts teleporters in there intel and keep coming back
Great vid dig the concepts in each clip, great timing on segments. I look forward to your next one.
11:42 those are the best kinds of people on 2fort
1:43 scared me so much that I pissed my pants
A couple times i did see a group of friendly heavies on the ps3 version. I decided to join in and we had a heavy crouch conga line throughout the map! 😆
this guys editing style makes him the second soundsmith
you forgot spinbot
Worst part of being a 2fort box spy is that nobody ever leaves me alive. I always join tryhard-filled servers by pure chance
So you've never encountered a panic attack pyro before?
thank god
I am a panic attack pyro.
I've actually been a victim of name stealing. I think was on a game of hydro.

another thing abut spy crabs is their lack of horizontal vizion, being only capeble of seeing upwards.
This video is amazing, why the hell was it recommended to me just now?
TH-cam: Common Sight
First bullet point: Loud = FUNNY!!!
Its sad that you don’t get more attention, you are really good at making vids
I only kill friendlies under these conditions: Feeding enemy that i was about to kill, being on skial, getting in my way.

8:50 That's why you always use the Classic. Nothing can sneak up on you.
The contract completer probably could've been tied in with the capping scout
As a jumper demo, i agree, we spread the "jump illness" to another demos and even soldiers to come with us to the enemy base, sometimes we are friendlyes and just jump to the enemy base to hang out with the other team
Very nice video!!
(After 3 years lol)
Here are three bots DISCO MOUSE IN THE HOUSE!, omegatronic' and one trick I was once on a team of only bots on a friendly server
My favorite are those who just spam pickup and dropping the Intel
One of my favorite things to do on 2fort is bully the snipers as demoflight with frying pan
