I was so close to being homeless at 19 I left residential college for t blind couldn’t go live with my mum as she was living in a 1 bedroom flat with my new stepdad, she was pregnant too. There was no way on earth I’d go back to my ex stepdad I stayed with my gran for 3 months but I didn’t want to b a burden to her as she lived with my uncle who has aspergers so I registered as homeless I was lucky because of my physical disability they found me a flat. It had no heating, was up 4 flights of steep stairs 2 floors above a row of shops.
