I picked up a well maintained Tata Nano XTA about three months ago for my wife (same red color), and its ended up being my daily driver now, and I'm loving it!! Planning to get it completely repainted and ceramic coated soon!!

Bought a Nano in 2017 for my brother to learn driving. It became the pick of everyone in the family to go anywhere in the city due to the ease of driving and parking. Recently we took it for a 600 km round trip to Bangalore. Planning to keep it as long as it runs.

I felt so happy after watching this video. I was feeling very low after hearing about Shri Ratan Tata's demise. It felt like an elderly person in my family had passed away. Even though I had no personal connection with him, I have always admired him for everything he has done for this country in so many fields. The timing of your video was perfect. I would like to thank you for instilling in me such a different point of view, especially regarding Tata cars like the Tata Nano. I have really enjoyed all your Tata episodes (Safari, Sumo, Tata Sierra, Nano, etc.). You have a unique charm when driving a Tata-I think you must love the brand a lot.
As of 2012, I am using a tata nano that has completed over 2 lakh kilometers and still keeps on going.....

What ever you said is correct, media killed this product…initially i was having a very bad impression of this car…but all changed when I got to drive one few years ago…it was really a fun car… i truly enjoyed it…and it gave me “my first rear engined rear wheel drive experience😎”…so sad that it is discontinued…😢

The car even though with its defects still was a good experience and spacious for 4 grown adults as a family car all these years .even though many mocked us for it , looking back it was a worthy car to us and spacious

I remember travelling in newly bought Nano of my friend and how we were greeted in old Panampilly Nagar petrol station (corner one). Everyone around was looking at that tiny yellow bug with great surprise. Also, the petrol filling part was fun 😅. (Opening the bonnet to fill. 😅)
I love the nano.
The problem is that the value proposition in the used car market pales in comparison when 2010s Maruti Altos are available for around the same price. And maybe a 30 to 40 k more can even get you an alto 800.
But still I love you ennu parayunna pole I love this thing. ❤
JayD you didnt talk about the spare situation. Considering that there is little to no parts sharing and the vendor situation, what will be the parts availability situation for the next 10 years? Tyres okke?

Being 6'2", I found the Alto to be extremely uncomfortable to drive and the passenger seat behind me becomes practically unusable because how much I need to push the seat back. The ingress and egress is more difficult due to the low seating position for passengers as well. There are no such problems with the Nano. Also the higher seating position and ground clearance makes it much better to drive in the city.

@30:00 Tata is still not proactive against media lynching and smear campaigns. Marketing strategies are still poor that many of their models are not getting the attention they deserves. The service issue is not addressed properly, which is a concern in 40% cases, is given a violent exposure by keyboard warriors and TH-camrs craving for reach.
To the Nano project, it was a clear media lynching that killed the product. Actually a Rear Engine, Real Wheel Drive, Automatic Model with smoked headlamps, inbuilt fog lamps and bluetooth music system at just 3 lakh rupees was too much value for money during 2015-18. I loved to have one for my parents, but they stopped production. When I looked for a used GenxNano during covid time, the asking price for XTA variants was upto 1.75 lakhs😮
I used to own a Nano. It was a good car but could only be serviced by TATA Authorised dealers, which is not very friendly especially to new buyers. My Indica Vista Diesel was known to local garages , they used to do a good job. For a first time buyer, owning a Tata Nano was not easy. The Alto 800 was a far better choice and had Maruti's legendary service behind it. It was a noble effort by Tata but Maruti was better at it

Engine reliability is the issue. It's maintainence is a big concern. Some workshops don't interested in repairing nano because of its complexity in the rear engine. So don't know it's future

Chennai to Cochin highway speeds etra reach akumayirunnu for automatic transmission. 80s possible ano.. and can you comment on the stability in highway
I've traveled through Mysore Bangalore highway at 80-90 kmph with four onboard and luggage with the manual transmission model. Two other Nanos seemingly racing each had overtaken me while doing around 100kmph. But 80-90 felt relatively safe and stable unless quick direction changes are necessary at that speed. The MID showed 33 kmpl while I was doing 80 kmph. Don't know how much it actually returned. Must have been 25+ kmpl for the whole trip considering how much fuel was filled. I usually maintain 70-80 kmph in unpredictable highway roads where there are chances of people or animals crossing, be it in Nano or any other car. The only con I felt with Nano is the braking which is weaker compared to other cars. But one will get used to it and judge braking accordingly.
@@MyGadgets-bv2eb be consider next time you changing front brakes replace it with Mahindra jeeto front disk brakes. It is very suitable for any models of nano without any alterations. I have nano twist xt. When I done this upgrade really braking improved a lot❤
