I own a 13 WRX. The rattles oh boy... I fixed my A-Pillar rattles by putting sponge tape (really any sort of cushioned tape works) on the insertion points and where it meets with the dash. Solved most rattles. I suggest you try it out if you haven't!
ive been thinking of buing this WRX for a while now, sold my 2008 2.5L impreza hatch last year i miss it but i wish the current WRX generation had a hatch version too with the same good old sound. Im scared of buying an old WRX :( i might just by a WRX as a second car so if it breaks down im not in trouble. I love the looks of it even more than 10 years of conception later. Hope you can enjoy your WRX for a long time without having mecanical surprises , nice ride!
The first thing I did when I got my used 2013 WRX is take 3in1 oil and remove all the rattles, took like 30 mins to get rid of them forever, also I painted my headliner black. If you can’t remedy those problems yourself, you’re going to be spending tons of money taking it to shops. Gas mileage does suck though, I couldn’t believe how quickly it took to get to 3/4 a tank The bolstering is an easy fix too with some poly foam. But sell your car before 110k miles as it will spin a rod guaranteed
the bluetooth never connects !! head unit is crap, the cold months there's rattles lol, gas mileage tune it with 91 COBB map. I still have mine from new. Love my leather seats from a material perspective ...other than that you nailed it !!!
Ok smart ass I installed one on mine. Jackson racing c38 supercharger kit. Better? Happy? The point was his comment implied the car came with a supercharger on it and I installed one on mine.
2011wrx @168k 365/370, give It the beans in every drive once warm up and the car has loved it, of course it already ate 1qt of oil per 1k miles when I got it at 125k but it's all good, probably the most reliable subaru I've had to be honest, switched to a 71hta, new 1000cc injectors, pw verticooler, boost controller, 44mm EWG to compensate the tiny ass the turbo has, PRO TUNED, by someone who cared I did not exploded the thing in a few days, actually been around 4 years since the mods and it's been so good to me. keep up with simple and common maintenance, don't be a D with it and know to only push it when at correct Temp. enjoy the brotherhood!
Maintenance is crucial on the boxers, but it’s a pay off, I’m finding out these motors can take a beating, but I can beat on mine few times a week and get some smiles in but it starts to lose fuel economy, I change the oil (regularly with royal purple and premium filters) and the mileage goes back to normal, but I also drive it 2 hours a day for work, take care of the car and it will keep giving you smiles
I would definitely not recommend it if you’re looking for something reliable. If you don’t care about that, then these cars are super fun and I love my hatch to death!
On the newer version of this car have lock differentials like a button in the center yk but i wanted to know if this 2011 has differential lock button??
Not a stick, how original lmao I've driven dozens of cars with factory seats that hold you in a million times better than these seats, some of them not even being performance cars. For a performance car the bolstering of these seats is extremely lack luster but if you're on the heavier side and they hold you great who am I to judge 🤷♂️
@@NickGT it was a joke bro but tbh I agree I have one and I’m 175 5’8 Id like to say I’m on the heavy side since I’m usually 165.(I am bulking) They hold me good tho but not too tight obviously. I had a 550i and those held me really good.
I randomly came across your Video and know nothing about the Subaru, but you being annoyed by the grey/tan header. I find it kinda strange cause.. I mean every car has a black bottom and at the half up to the header it is light grey fabric, be it premium cars such as BMW, Audi, Merc, Bentley, Aston Martin... or generic cars such as Ford, Kia, Hyundai, VW and more Altough you can option a dark header for most cars when you order it.
@@kruisinwkai You're not supposed to paint it or overlay it with paint also it can destory the header or be uneven and dieout someday. If you want a dark header you should specifically select the option when you configurate your car you wanna order from any brand. Changing the header afterwards is too late and unnecessary and a lot of killing work and hatred.
man no offence but whatever you said about things you hate have absolutely nothing to do with the reasons someonw would buy a turbo boxer EJ subaru in the first place. I'm not a fanboy, i do love subarus but there things are common knowledge, except if you're throwing yourself blind just to feel that Fast and Furious craziness.
I'm about to finally switch from my 09 2.5i auto hatch to a 2011 wrx hatch and lemme teLL YOU, I'm excited af and already used to the tan headliner and rattling interior. I'm so hyped, I've wanted one since I was 12 and I'm 21 now😩😩🖤
All 5 points were spot on! All the creaks and rattles from the cheep plastic is definitely my least favorite part of my STI.
Thanks man!
dude exactly
My outback has the rattles now, it’s annoying
I also have a WRX hatch, but with cloth interior. The seats in cloth actually hold you pretty well.
They really do though

Yeah I'm def switching out the radio asap if I ever get one

I recently picked up a 2011 WRX hatchback, cloth seats, and yes definitely interior rattles.

My 13 wrx limited hatch has 183,000 miles and is on original engine and clutch nothing wrong and doesnt leak oil
I agree with you, I don't have leather but I do love my wrx seats. I did put a coin in between my dashboard and a pillar and the rattle went away.
Great video Nick. Glad you're still enjoying your WRX.
Thanks man!

i know this is an older video but how is the legroom on these 2011+ hatchbacks in the back and front seats
My buddy rides in the back of mine alot. He's 5'8" and he doesn't have issues riding in the back
both back and front have pretty good legroom, as long as you’re under 6’3 or so you’ll fit fine
Averaging 20 in awd is really good. Last 3 cars I had couldn’t do that.
The interior rattle is very annoying, especially this winter for me
I agree winter makes it much worse in mine
A BRZ has a supercharger?🤔
If you install one on it does
@@NickGT thats like saying a civic has a jet turbine if you install one
Ok smart ass I installed one on mine. Jackson racing c38 supercharger kit. Better? Happy? The point was his comment implied the car came with a supercharger on it and I installed one on mine.
@@NickGT chill papi chill!
1 very important thing i need to know , is it reliable for pushing pistons hard a couple times a week🤔
Just keep up on your maintenance and don't abuse it. I get on it in mine a few times a week and haven't had any issues

I came to the right place...you also add the positives!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
I found One for 8000 stock well maintained is my first subaru hatchback 2.5 do you recommend??
I would definitely not recommend it if you’re looking for something reliable. If you don’t care about that, then these cars are super fun and I love my hatch to death!
@@Wrsexy_ are they not reliable? I would be getting regular Impreza hatchback, not wrx

Bro the seats were meant for an average person not a stick lol.
