  • The road down to Kinloch Hourn is a 22 mile single track dead end. It is regarded by many as Scotland's remotest road. It is a fantastic road, full of wild raw beauty and varied wildlife.
But for the photographer there are many fantastic opportunities to capture some wonderful images. In this episode I show you just 2 locations along the way.
I am a Professional Landscape Photographer based in the Highlands of Scotland. I specialise in the teaching of landscape photography and offers residential and daily photography workshops. I also sell prints of my own photographs from my own studio.

Nice video Dean, beautiful area, we had a couple of weeks at Altnaharra and a week at Morvich back in 2021 when we had the caravan. Loved the area.

Great video Dean one of my favourite spots but not been down there for years. You captured the Glen well and managed to get some great shots despite the windy conditions.

I really enjoyed that thanks, not only a cracking location but your shot decision making and lens choices based on what you were seeing, then your explanation of exactly what light you were waiting on was very interesting. I also loved your very British "i'll put the most half decent photo up!" 😄 The final photo was well worth the wait, cheers.

Another great video Dean! You've certainly got some good advice in this one. We should all take note - and slow down - and wait for the right light to caress the landscape. It'll pay big dividends - as you've illustrated here. Keep up the good work. Cheers!

Hi Dean, another great video from a remote and beautiful location. The way you talk us through the composition of your shots has been a major contributor in my the rapid improvement of my photograghy skills. Your enthusiasm is inspiring, thank you.

Just an observation of your intro, you say capturing the beauty of the Scottish Highlands, whilst showing an image of Dunnottar castle. This is not the Highlands :p
