It was in a long development hell. Honestly this is one of the biggest disappointments in gaming history. A sequel to the original aliens movie, that takes place back on Hadley's hope, and had visuals true to the movie was an amazing idea. It's a shame because you can see so much passion and creativity put in this game.
honestly am really enjoying this game. fixed the xeno AI, and although there are still some bugs and rough edges its still an awesome excursion into the alien universe. really bad ass gunplay.

All the game walkthroughs I could find online almost entirely ignored this part and just assumed you could figure out how to get to the powerloader. The map design in this game is kinda terrible and I'm playing through it for the first time in a decade so this video is extremely useful for me. Had I not decided to take a break and find a proper walkthrough you could make a solid bet that I'd be on my tenth or eleventh death or maybe just trying to go to bed after ragequitting. Like this game has some really nice stuff in it and really looks and kind of feels phenomenal while playing, especially on Ultimate Badass where the HUD is disabled so you really have a chance to see the game. Then it'll pull some really kooky shit once in a while leaving you wondering what you're doing wrong or if they just wound up making an impossible encounter solely designed to torment the player and it just so happened that on that day all the playtesters quit or something. Holy hell, this game. I want to love it, and it wants me to hate it. edit I just hit the boss fight and I shouldn't be surprised. It's not even my fault anymore. First off the boss has three stages. Stages that take about three minutes each to hit playing on my difficulty. I got completely swarmed the first three attempts because I *wasn't* cheesing as hard as I possibly could in hiding behind my teammates and letting them deal with the smaller xenos for me. Even then the power loader has this weird shifting thing where for some reason I can't comprehend it's like it is over extending my mouse movements which is driving me crazy and leading me to miss like three times out of ten swings I take at this motherfucker. Even then my teammates aren't that good at shooting at the extra enemies so some still get through and thankfully I think there's a bug or maybe a redesign in retrospect which lets the default melee key (V) instakill most of the time on those guys. When a game is making me want to go and do my laundry is usually the point in a game where it's definitely doing something horrifically wrong for me! It really doesn't help that at least a part of the boss's AI still works so he'll try and wait out of my attack range to bait out my attacks before coming in to beat the shit out of me. Which thankfully he still does more damage comparatively to the small fellas that swarm me but holy shit I forgot how awful this shit can be. Maybe I'll figure out how to get him stuck on the geometry which would be totally fine with me by this point, I just want it to end. edit that's it, I'm doing laundry fuck that shit, not dealing with it right now
LOL. That's quite an adventure. I got the game a few days ago and literally just finished it and despite the numerous negative reviews it isn't as bad as I was led to believe. While a bit buggy here and there the environment was done quite well, I can recall multiple times getting frightened by xenos jumping at me from the dark and the absolute anxiety ridden anticipation the motion tracker gave me. The boss fight that you detail was an absolute favourite (obviously any die hard Alien fan wishes and wants to bash xenos in a power loader). I'm not sure if you are playing on a harder difficulty but for most of that boss fight I didn't even notice any of the smaller xenos amongst the chaos and whenever they did pop up I managed to crush them (mostly by mistake!!) and for the actual boss, I just shoved him into a corner and took well timed swings making sure not to get hit in the process until he eventually died.

An average game that left much to be desired but did hit some sweet notes... To this day we haven't seen a worthy alien vs colonial marine game. Alien fire team elite was a great third person shooter at times but its handeling of the aliens as endless hordes you just blast away wasn't the thing I was expecting from this studio. The announcement for that new alien game had me hyped for years until it eventually became fireteam elite. Aliens Dark descent was nearly perfect but had a pretty crazy story of a human-alien hybrid that can communicate/ control aliens, the father telepathically attacked the big alien, which is just crazy... The aliens in the game also did not wall/ ceiling climb and the ai was predictable, tedious and ultimately boring because they couldn't scale objects they should be able to get passed.
Dude, I have t played this game in a long time but I still remeber where most legendary weapons were and dog tags/audio logs😂 the annoying thing was the lack of adsing and over use of a shotgun for distance fights
Y'know something that akways bothered me is that according to the beginning of the game, keyes and bella went in at the same time because both were a part of rhino 2-3 right? So how the actual hell did bella last a whole freaking day longer then Keyes? Especially since keyes woke up from the face hugger only minutes before bella did and the sephora had only just arrived.
Thank you for the play through, i really enjoyed it, though I wish you hadnt run out of the range of the audio logs at times, but hey if i really wanted to know ill have to play the game myself anyways.

Not perfect, but at least it captures the feel of the Alien Universe, especially the Music and sound effects! Nice attention to detail reusing sound effects from the movie like the Pulse Rifle and the scanner!

I know a WORSE video game that was based after a movie, I'm referring to the Batteship video game based on the movie, I have to say that it's literally TERRIBLE.
As soon as player switches from shotgun to assault rifle shooting becomes painful to watch. It's PC in the name of the video but guy is ether using damn gamepad for no reason or just very bad at playing shooters.
Excellent game-play. Game itself is far better than alien dark descent, at least in my opinion. One minus tough, this marine gun is very, very inaccurate. Just spray and pray;). Btw, removing embryos is possible, but difficult. This w-y doctor lied.
The best aliens video game ever made in history it's sad that the contracts and sabotage from acres of this game because their contract was canceled due to over extension and asking for more made this game almost get the that it came back and things were fixed❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ The loss for gamers would have been huge I am so happy and thankful that this game is here.

I cant pass this part, the xeno wont stop coming ones i enter that place, they kill you on one hit if they got you in the back, but since they wont stop coming as soon as you kill one, theres alredy one behing... And thats not the bad part, the worse is the fuking frendly gut getting stuck and wont moving so i cant progrese i have the mod overhoull v6

@@andraskiss7674 nah bro, if you like a game, you have to amit it flaws... i did pass this part, and i discover the problem, you see there are several part in the story were the game get stuck, also in another part were bishot is at the computer and you have to defend the game somtimes keep sending enemies non stop or dont send any cuz one alien got stuck in a part were you cant see it or kill it so the game become stuck... other time there was a invisible wall and it didint let me pass, have to replay that part several times until the bug wasnt there, sometimes enemis become invincible (happen whit the mercenaries)...this happen A LOT in diferent mission often get fix by dying or restard the mission... look i dont mind a bug here and there, is normal but Game-Breaking Bugs can fuck up the game experience.... anyway, i did like the game, as im also Alien fan, but im not gonna glorified just becuz i like the saga...
The author who plays this game sucks at it! Here’s the tip! I played this game and to kill face huggers before they come out of the cocoon shoot the cocoon! You can also use sniper rifle and hand grenades for that too! Cocoons are destructible! They are not all that secure! I don’t know if you knuckle heads saw “Aliens” with Sigourney Weaver in the ending scene while the atmosphere processor was going critical Ripley went after Newt and she used the pulse rifle and grenade launcher shooting at cocoons while she confronted xenomorph queen!

How do you beat the Xenomorph @ 2:00:27 w the Power Lifter playing on Hardened? It's almost impossible. I've died so many times trying.

This game isn’t the best game. It wasn’t as good as what was anticipated. It’s worth playing, and I had fun playing through the campaign.

Bad aim, zero situational awareness, wrong weapons for wrong parts of game, skiping logs, no imersion....very bad gameplay.
