Welcome back guys - hope you have a super time! If time permits - some of the lovely small towns like Maleny in the Sunshine Coast hinterland might be worth a slight inland detour (not too far from the coast) and in some places there are great views back towards the coast....
Welcome back to Aus! Two suggestions after Bribey Island, head to Noosa Beach - check out the Fairy Pools and/or then Sunshine Coast Hinterlands (it's a drive up a mountain but beautiful region loads to see and do!)
Pull over at Rollingstone 50km north of Townsville. Free camping and perfect spot for the kids to splash around in the creek. Rowes Bay Caravan Park in Townsville is also a great place for the kids. Beach is just across the road, also has playground. Kids will never get bored to their. Enjoy 😊

G'day and welcome back! Your joyous positivity is inspiring. Returning via Mildura, Ballarat, Bendigo, the Snowy Mountains (Charlottes Pass), Canberra, and Borwal. Pure magic.
Welcome back guys, hope you have an amazing time. If time allows for it the drive starting from David low way on the Sunshine Coast to Noosaville is beautiful. So many coastal towns to stop in and have a look at.
From Sydney north through the NSW Central Coast to Newcastle is some great area. The Hawkesbury river area. The town of Gosford and the Brisbane waters area. Box Head, The Entrance, Tuggerah Lake, Crack Neck lookout at Bateau Bay, Pearl Beach, and the city of Newcastle and surrounding areas, Lake Macquarie and Nelson Bay. Hit me up for any Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast sites if you head up that way again. Love from Mount Glorious QLD.
Hope you have a great fun and safe trip in my beautiful country! I travelled around Australia MANY years ago with a mate in a Suzuki Sierra! Worst 4WD ever haha! Slept in a crappy 2-man tent. In the middle of Australia, it overheated if we went over 70 kph so we had plenty of time to take in the view! In 99 I travelled all around Europe, just a backpack. You just sort out issues as you go, nothing's a hassle when you're on holidays. They didn't have the Euro yet, so we'd have to exchange money all the time, figure out different cultures and ways of doing things. At least in Australia you don't have those problems. You just adapt and have fun. You look like you've got great kids, well-behaved. Enjoy, and welcome!

Agree. Babinda is beautiful and the bakery there is amazing! Be careful of the March flies at the campground there. Atherton Tablelands is also well worth a visit. So many beautiful waterfall walks up there. Please remember it’s stinger season during the summer months if visiting the beaches up north.

Welcome back to Oz I’m going the other way next week Japan 🇯🇵 for 2 months and if you’re going up north keep an eye out on the long term weather forecast we are coming into cyclone season (hurricane) also crocodile 🐊 country big time
You might find Bribie a bit of a let-down - it's nicest if you have a 4WD and go up the beach a bit. It's pretty quiet but still pretty. On your way up to the Daintree, I hope you spend some time at one of the nicest places in Qld - The Whitsundays. Sometimes you can get a deal and rent a whole house for about the same price as the hotels on Hamilton Island. As the whole island is owned by the same company, even renting a house you get the use of a golf buggy to get around, and are allowed to use the hotel pools - and kids eat for free. You must then take a trip to Whitehaven Beach - but take shade with you! Another way to see them is to do a bareboat charther - I've done this 3 times now - and you can take the boat wherever you want. Good luck!
@ yeah next time then. You will probably want to stop at Bells beach if you do. One of Australias best known surf spots. Which you probably know already. I look forward to seeing your new videos.
Where the surf disappears heading north is around the point where more water based dangers start. Crocs, irukandji and sea wasps (box) jellyfish, besides the normal stuff. Please be aware, do your own due diligence and best of all ask the locals. Great to see you guys back. The Bruce Highway heading north has problem areas where fatigue and impatience can be deadly. Dad, got to have your breaks from driving. There is Mum and rest areas and service stations to stretch your legs and gather. Don't drive fatigued EVER. You and your family are too precious as are all others on the road. Don't rush. Night time is down time. Be safe so you can keep letting all of us know you're happy and safe.

Unfortunate for the Wickhams to stumble onto this location so early into their trip back here. But behind most glitter strips is always an underbelly.
