Thank you. Just got an interview for this job. I have an AS in science, and was offered an interview immediately after applying. I know that looks bad on the company…so as long as they seem highly enthusiastic about me…I’m asking for pretty decent pay 😅❤Lmk any advice!
If you search environmental technician, field technician or environmental scientist you’ll find these jobs. The testing, sampling, analysis of samples, report writing, drilling oversight are the most common job duties. If you like being in the field, travel to sites (mostly company vehicle and a coworker) it is fun.
Im trying to break into this with an engineering degree in chemical. Are there any certificates that help or anything else? I'm not having any luck and do not have much of a network here. I'm in Sacramento, CA.
You can pursue a bachelors in geology. I’ve taken some versions of biology but have managed to avoid taking the typical bio 101 and all the other bio related classes.
Consider looking up colleges you like and take a look at the course requirements for geology if this is something you’re interested in, or you could go to the civil engineering route but that’s way more heavy on the physics and math
@@rubenalfarocadenas6908hey there I’m majoring in biology. And am pursuing a minor In ecology environmental science. I was wondering will this lead me somethwere in this field?
Hey I have a bachelor in environmental technology(BET). But facing a hard time to get a job in that field. Can you let me know what certification I need to get job in as a environmental technician or environmental engineering??
Mmmm, depends. The biggest, fastest money you can make in the USA for this degree is probably in the oil and gas industry. I work in the Permian Basin rn doing environmental consulting for oil company clients. Starting pay right out of college is 50k+ for my company, which is higher than the national average. The job market here is heavily leaned toward people who create contacts and have experience in the area. A lot of the people who work a year or so tend to move companies and can jump anywhere from 10 to 15k in salary. In any other context, in most other areas of the country, they'd be starting at 32k out of college, maybe 40k if they were lucky.
Is there any career opportunities after environmental technology diploma, because i got admission in environmentaenvironmental technology 2 year diploma.. Plz reply
