    Well at least you found more coins for your jar. It's nice to see that you are still able to metal detect, I had to put away my metal detector because we got over five inches of snow over the weekend and it's getting really cold. Thank you for the video and happy hunting !

    The wind sound wasn't too bad, added with max size player and about 40% volume it sort of lent to the feeling of being along for the hunt. There ya go again She, good vid!

    Another enjoyable video from our intrepid metal detectorista. It's fun watching you test different detectors. However, my feet got cold just watching you...so I put you on "pause", got up from my recliner and made some hot chocolate. Makes it easier to watch you sloshing around in the chilly water after pull tabs and twist ties. :) I really enjoy your hunts and keep hoping for you to hit gold. Keep it up...and I'll keep watching and sipping hot chocolate.

    that's the water-type detector that i use! i've never dug based on threshold shift, so thanks for showing an example. if i have any gripe, it is that you shouldn't store the detector in extreme heat like in a car (as per the manual).

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea? I'm enjoying it so far. :) Oh you're very welcome. I used to not dig them either with my sea hunter but, I'm glad I do now. They say sometimes the gold will sink and not really give off a solid hit but sometimes just a threshold change. If you don't dig it, you will miss it. :( Yea but it's like that for all machines I think. :)

    second pronunciation. It's treasure in Spanish I believe. I have a Tesoro Compadre and for $160 it is absolutely amazing. I don't think it can be beat for the money!

    Great vid,
    The thin coil is a plus when diving, swinging under water like a blade (should go 200' ).
    Oh, and You (or Husband) could trim off between first (top) button and second (keeping second or if you must for your height just use the shaft cam) to set for comfort distance (swing).. hope that helps

    Second one,except you pronounced it better the first time you said it. Eather way,we know what you mean. Its nice to review all these detectors and I know each to their own. I have always been a Garrett and Fisher fan. Both have been around since the beginning and both have great warrenty/ service. Reliability,durability and price are the main points to a degree,but the ability to disconcern metals from one another and depth have always been my main thing. I personally prefer the open spoke type heads with some form of protective replacable covering. Having optional heads available are a good addition. Where you hunt really does make a determination on type to use. I myself consider meters and gauges with numbers to be somewhat of a gimic if too many are offered. A simple identifying gauge with a graph with helpful suggestions printed on the screen use up less power than digital bells and whistles and flashing lights. Numbers are confusing and usless when compairing next to other detectors. Tones are everything. When using head phones,and if you hunt seriously,hunting with head phones is the only way to go. Using different easily identifiable tones can help determine what you are attempting to hunt for speeds up the effort. After that its all you. Learning how to use your detector efficiently will help you spend less time digging up trash metals and finding valuable rings,coins and jewlery.

    • @billhop5795
      @billhop5795 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Still relatively new to the game, but totally agree on recognizing tones as the definitive answer... Good luck Hoss!

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha, thank you! Yea, it's easy to get brand loyalty with these different companies. They all offer really good products in my opinion so far. :) Yea, the coil covers are nice for sure. I know what you mean, sometimes to many bells and whistles end up causing more problems. :(

    • @scottfirman

      She Detector As a general rule,most people buy one detector because,lets face it,Dem thangs aint cheap! I always had two,one cheaper one,and my best of the best. If a friend wanted to try it out,they got the basic one. I wont say cheaper one eather because the truth is,never compromise on the extra detector because sooner or later,your baby is going to take a big time dump on you. Then you are going to have to ship it out for repair. That is what sold me on Fisher. They have the best warrenty and service I have ever had to deal with. Even just replacing something as simple as the adjustors that fit in the tube and snap into the round holes ,allowing you to make the handle longer or shorter. I had one break off,I didnt want to send the whole thing in for something that simply slides in the tube,so I called Fisher. They sent me two of them,free of charge. I did have to send my 1212 in because the guy I let borrow it though it was water proof. I did have to pay for that one...well actually the guy that ruined it did. Even then,they were pretty reasonable about the price and it wasnt as bad as I thought.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea, you're probably right about that. :) You never know when your trusty machine won't feel up for the hunt. :( Oh wow, that's awesome that they sent those to you. :) YIKES!!!! How terrible!! Good thing they were able to fix it. :)

    • @primeonly27
      @primeonly27 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure about people only buying or having or buying one detector. They cost about the same as some guns and most people own more than one gun in America. Also you may go over your favorite beach or park for a week and get all the targets. Then take your other detector and dig all the targets your first detector did not get.

    LOL, I like your sounds better than the detector. Looks like a good machine but I like the ones with a screen on them. It may be a bad habit but I like watching the screen and listening at the same time. I think you get more information with the screen and sounds both. Thanks for demoing them for us though. Great video, really enjoyed it. GL&HH

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol! Thanks! Yea, I'm enjoying it so far honestly. I think the screens make me focus on the wrong stuff, like the numbers. I should focus on the sounds I think. :) That's great that you're able to do both. I end up only following the screen. Hahaha. No problem! My pleasure actually. Hehehe. ;) Thank you! So I am biased. I had one, sold it, now I miss it. In vco, it should get louder as it gets closer to the target. I call it easy mode. It looks like it there was a lot of targets Just not great ones.
    I noticed from the video that you were getting over the hump and find targets in a short time, which is a plus! You will find everything with this machine! It I is hard to break with normal use. I hope to see the next video!

    hi ,,i have a question the tesoro sand shark come with coil cover? thanks very good videos

  • @billhop5795
    @billhop5795 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    So... in your opinion, which is more user friendly; the Sea Hunter or Sand Shark? Looks/sounds as if the Sea hunter may have better discrimination capabilities. I'm just now getting more seriously involved in detecting as a past-time activity (bought an AT Pro and love it so far), but am thinking about a PI machine to add to enjoyment at the beach and need an
    opinion. Thanks for any input. Would love an ATX, but wife says I have to find enough gold to pay for one first, LOL.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hum, that's a tough question. The sea hunter has more options for play around with which could be confusing but the sand shark doesn't have disc which might upset some people. but, I think I'll have to go with the sand shark simply because the coil makes it easier to locate targets and less options makes it more user friendly I think. But it really depends on what you want. If you plan on using disc, sea hunter all the way. If you plan on running the machine full open and dig everything, sand shark. Plus the sand shark is cheaper by a few bucks. :) Lol! Good luck finding that much gold!

    watch out for real shark :-) any idea if this detector will detect in black sand because I have stunning beaches near me in wales in the u.k but under the nice sand its whats known here as blacksand. I tried a decent minelab and had mild success as it has a lot of frequencies and was set up by a experienced detectorist. I guess I need a pi machine, could you please confirm this for me. Thanks. steve (king of the u.k)

    hi. so what's your thought or first impressions of the sand shark compared with beaker? thanks for the video. myself and my wife were on our favorite beach last weekend in a snow storm, it looks a little warmer there!

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Well I like that the coil makes it easier to locate the target. It's a bit harder with Beaker since a target can and will be picked up anywhere on the coil. The sand shark puts it in the center of the coil which is nice! But, the sand shark doesn't let you use disc. not a problem if you run your machine full open though. Hahaha! Wow! Yes it's MUCH warmer here. Hahaha. Stay warm!

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you're right about that. They are very similar in sound although the Sand Shark seems to have a more chattery threshold than the Sea Hunter does.

  • @mattsbrute
    @mattsbrute 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Its the second one :-) Ive used Tesoro for about 16 years. The sound imitation you did is spot on and is a Tesoro thing. I bought my son a little Garrett 200 this year for Xmas and im amazed at how good that basic detector is. I found 28 coins in about 4 hours with that $200 machine. Im gonna be upgrading to a modern unit here very soon and I think im gonna get a AT pro or similar detector. Tesoro requires too much input from the user. These other machines are really dialed in and do a lot of the work for you. Any recommendations for a $500-$700 machine? I love you videos. Keep it up!

    • @HeyManOK
      @HeyManOK 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the AT Pro and I'm very satisfied. It's pretty accurate, it has a short learning curve, and you can master it after a few huntings.

      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's what most are saying. :D Hahaha! Well thank you. I tried really hard to get the sound right. :D Very nice! Oh yea, sometimes the cheaper machines will blow you away. Hahaha. You're right about that. Hum, well I would recommend the MX Sport personally. I wasn't a fan of the AT Pro. :( The MX Sport is a bit pricier at $750 from Kellyco though. I really enjoyed hunting with it at the beach and on land. Thank you! And thanks for watching!

    You know your coil cable really should be wrapped around you're detector shaft. I would have thought it would have covered thstbin the manual.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You know it's funny you mention that. I usually do wrap the cable around but I've seen a handful of set up that bundle it at the top and have one line running along the shaft. I figured I'd give it a try and see how I like. It's much easier to run it up the shaft and bundle it than it is to wrap it. I've secured it on the bottom and top to keep excess cable from flapping around so it doesn't affect the coil. It seems to be working pretty well actually. :)

    Watched the whole video this time, not much of an issue, YT was a little slow and got the buffer wheel a few times. I'm using Bell Fibe and generally no issues with the IP provider. That is my typical hunt, bunch of junk and a few coins or buttons. It has only been just above 0 c lately. So winter parkas, the ground is frozen in the early am so been going out mainly in the afternoons. You are lucky to have those temps and able to get in the water. Soon the water here will be ice and snowmobiles everywhere. No detecting till Spring thaw. A bit of a problem I had with a dig a few days ago, a rotary cutting wheel cut into my glove and sliced my finger open. I thought it was round and shiny and Oh Boy something good, it was still sharp. So, anyone reading this, please wear gloves when digging, you never know what is down there.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh good. I wish I knew what the problem was. :/ Yea, I would have loved a ring of course. Hahaha! Oh my gosh! BRRRRR!!!! Yes, I really can't complain about our "winter" here. Hahaha. Boo to all that winter! Oh my gosh that's terrible! Hopefully you're alright. Did you need stitches?

    Thank for the video. What was odd about the coil that made it different?

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for watching. :) I'm a bit confused by your questions. But, the way this coil works is it locates the target in the very center, right where the hole is. So, you're pretty sure to get the target every time so long as dig up the very center. Other coils, like the one on my sea hunter will pick up the target any where on the coil. I'll be doing a field test this weekend to show what I mean. Does that answer your question?

    well this girl has had no idea whats up and whats down in the detector world, but you got to hand it to her not even knowing that she cant ground balance in a garage that has rebar in the concrete and wires laying all over the place she still tries. She's learning. and what I can see is she is really pationent about showing these detectors about like I am about needing to spell better and loves it. That's what really matters is she loves showing and demonstrating all various machines. And every machine is diff-. Good job She Detector " I wasn't trying to dog you when I got frustrated trying to help you by not messing up that other machine by keeping trying to get you to under stand that most concrete has what they call rebar in it and you just cant be grounding the machine on your garage floor then through it in the boat and go down to the beach and just start treasure hunting with it pronto. you have to ground balance it any time the ground changes. Just remember to ground balance all the times that the beach changes on witch I never ever seen you do. I guarente you you will get good perf- out of any machine as long as you GROUND BALANCE. Excellent review. Sorry about your Raptor handle but your strong now working that sand scoop. I was impressed that you dug the lead from that depth 4 to 6 I think that's good lead rings similar to gold. I have a Sand Shark with the 8in coil. I think when you take it diving you will see why I went smaller not 10.5. The big flat coil acts like a fin and gets pushed around a bit by current. I think the Tesoro is a great machine and with a lifetime warranty Oh Yeah. FYI www.spanishdict.com/videos/tesoro

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Hahaha yes, I'm too strong for my own good. :D I already know what you mean. I don't to tighten the coil bolt to keep it from moving on me. But I bet the smaller coil is much nicer underwater. Oh really? I didn't know that. That's awesome!

    Metal detectors are considered adult toys in my opinion. There are inexpensive toys and those ranging in the thousands of dollars. Bottom line... I have watched you use various detectors over the last several months and your yield targets did not warrant an expensive detector. So for the new detectorist, don't think that an expensive detector will yield you a pot of of gold. Start out with a moderately priced detector and when you learn of your limitations with your purchase then determine your needs. You can always use your first detector as a back up.She detector... Your choices of locations has not been very rewarding (except for three rings) and being that you are in tourist heaven, with a vast coastline surely there must be better locations. You make great instruction videos.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're right about that. Some are for sure adult toys. I wouldn't let a child play with my Excal that's for sure! :) And I agree with you, a very expensive machine isn't needed to find the goods. Yea, there are tons of people coming and going from my area all year. But there are also tons of hunters in my area. Sometimes I decide to stay closer to home instead of venturing out so I don't have to worry about fighting the other hunters. It's paid off a few times, other times not so much. Thank you! And thanks for watching!

    l've seen in your videos that you are not finding good stuff, maybe could be because you change the machines before you learn how to use them but l think You should read more about beach conditions and where to look for, if you find the right spot, you will pull out good stuff even with a go find 60. Just saying as an advice because you are lossing views and followers and GOLD. l have seen people that is doing outstanding in Miami even with the at pro and the at pro is no for salt water. so l think you should pay more attention to the beach conditions and id the good areas. before the haters start killing me let me say l have more tha 100 rings plus chains and other good stuff so l know what l'm talking about. my machine is a ctx 3030, you should try it, if you set it right you forget about the 90% of the trash so you have 90% more chances to find good stuff. good luck and nice videos.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea, my good targets are few and far between. I think it's more about the locations, like you said, and less about me switching machines. Any machine will find something if it's there. :) Thanks for the tips! And thanks for watching. :D

    Dear. queen of the watermelons ... Queen of the beach hunters ... thanks for the great video again and again you excite us in everytime with kellyco ... in my opinion this machine is so ugly sorry for saying that but i saw how is so difficult to catch the targets with it and the puls option is less than vlf option aha my garrett at pro better than this machine 100% ha ... it's old design with no discrimination . so you can't dig in everything ... any way thanks again queen . yay Finally!!! I enjoy my sand shark. it took some adjustments with the settings but I think I got it now. I'm not sure with i prefer Vco or normal. they both work for me. I have it set up now to be comfortable n easy to access to change volume etc. I bought a coil stabilizer from Kellyco for Water searches. my coil flopped up during my swings. I used my foot to to flatten it. just like you did. it creates a stronger drag but worth it. I cut the stabilizer also to help reduce drag. I'll show it on my next video. it's cheap too the coils stabilizer. thanks for testing the sand shark. maybe I will learn something new.

      HI there! Yea, I know what you mean. They both sound the same except for the tone of course. A coil stabilizer? That's good thinking. That happened to me on the first hunt. I had to tighten the little bolt near the coil though. :) I'll check out your video with the stabilizer. I'll check out your videos, maybe I'll be the one to learn something. Hahaha!
