That is just how life is. Everything isn't for everyone. Stairs aren't for disabled people in wheelchairs. Music (usually) isn't for deaf people. It's great that those people have some alternatives and it's bad that there aren't that many of them. But they are in a minority. You can't change something completely just so a minority can also enjoy it. It would be great if that was easy to do. But it's not always the case.

If you comment on videos when they are first uploaded no matter what you say you can get a ton of likes if you are into that type of thing. I once just quoted something someone said in whatever video I was watching and got like 10,000 likes it’s always the comments I made off handed that get the most likes it’s never the curated comment that took me 10 minutes to think of and 10 minutes to write lol

I went to a school for the blind and visually impaired and we had jumbo uno cards with Braille, checkers with tactile bump dots on them, and it showed me that they could make so many games out there all inclusive! it warms my heart that you made her a game just for her, and you both could play together 💖 #1 husband right there!

Growing up, it was interesting playing games with my dad, him being blind and all. We had some cool things, though! There's a Talking Battleship game, playing cards with braille in the corners, and my personal favorite, a custom wooden chess set my grandfather made for my dad. No colored squares, but the pieces are made from black or white wood. Each square is surrounded by a groove, and has a hole drilled in the middle which corresponds to a peg in the bottom of each piece. I think you could probably do something similar with LEGO as well, if you two are interested in chess. I know there are magnetic chess boards, but they're not fantastic.
@@skylineb28 it also doubles as a checkers board! Instead of black and red, it's round and square pieces. Each piece ALSO has a hole in the top so you can king effectively. Really cool stuff.
I’m in the same boat. My dad’s blind so we would try to find games we could play together. Sometimes games would be accidentally accessible, like Bop-It and Simon. Other games we’d find versions that worked for us.
I don't have any eye problems but one that I really liked was the game A Blind Legend ! It's an adventure and combat game where the screen remains black because you play as a Knight that lost his sight in battle. It's really really cool and well done ! You just need headphones with stereo and a phone. It's free to play and I believe that it can be in English, but I am not sure.
Oh yes I've tried A Blind Legend. I kept getting stuck on certain areas but was overall a really cool game. My current favorites are both text based and compatable with voice over. They're called Timecrest and Untold RPG. Timecrest is more of a story than a game, while Untold is... definitely more of a game lol but they both have really good storylines.

The more I see of what Lego helps inspired people accomplish the more I love the brick system, which I didn't think was possible. From this to the people who make prosthetic arms and dog carts for rehabbing dogs without limbs or injury to a sweet woman who makes accessible Ramps for houses and businesses to the fact that lego has a line of brain lego. Not only does it help your creativity and imagination but also your helpfulness. Makes me so joyful.
A recommendation to anyone who may want to play games with the visually impaired - you can find card sleeves (protective clear wrappers for cards) with braille on them; this was, you can play with others, since they can read the cards! You can often find packs made for specific board games!

thats such a lovely thing for you to do your an absolute legend we need more games that accessible for disabled people I love playing video games myself on Xbox but I notice with many of them the controls are very complex and would be accessible for disabled people and a video does make me think about how the controllers are as well are they accessible to use and are they tactile in their design it is a very interesting topic games should be able to be played by all that should at the very least be the goal
The Vice President of Xbox actually invented an accessible set of game controllers. They cost the same as any other controller, work with all bar the newest PlayStation (which is on Sony, they decided to not allow them to work with the PS5), and have won numerous awards. Worth having a google.

My dad could play chess after he went blind. He had a really good memory. Didn't realize until I was older how hard this must have been.
He was fully blind. Due to glaucoma they had to freeze his optic nerves.

I saw a chessboard that had pieces held in place with pegs instead of magnets, but I have no idea if that would be better.
There are actually tons of accessible apps and games out there. It’s actually really cool that developers want to include the blind community.

thats such a lovely thing for you to do your an absolute legend we need more games that accessible for disabled people I love playing video games myself on Xbox but I notice with many of them the controls are very complex and would be accessible for disabled people and a video does make me think about how the controllers are as well are they accessible to use and are they tactile in their design it is a very interesting topic games should be able to be played by all that should at the very least be the goal
The Vice President of Xbox actually invented an accessible set of game controllers. They cost the same as any other controller, work with all bar the newest PlayStation (which is on Sony, they decided to not allow them to work with the PS5), and have won numerous awards. Worth having a google.
@@katherinemorelle7115 will diffidently look into it great that they have controllers designed to be accessible myself I'm good with a regular controller but I would be aware maybe it wouldn't work for everyone
