@@mayanroots4326 I had to cut all the angles for ther down pipe and the dump pipe. I made my down pipe out of two 90° Mandrel bends and I bought 2 waste gate pipes and had to cut and weld to get the crazy bend to exit the bottom of car instead of cutting hole in hood

01 Accords have a plug in the head where there is usually a coolant temp sending unit for the gauge. It's below the distributor and beside the upper water neck. You can remove this plug and screw in a sensor from any earlier Civic or Accord, then get a female bullet connector and run an 18 awg wire to your ECU.
If you're wondering: 00-03 Accords switched to digital gauges. The ECU calculates coolant temp and RPM (you'll notice there's no tach wire from the distributor. In older Hondas, the sensors went to the gauges and the gauges calculated that info for the ECU.

my grandma passed away and left me her gold 2001 accord lx. with the f23a4 ulev version of ur motor. do not let that thing go. i got it at 68k miles 2 years ago. its at 126k now. did a full seal/spark/fuel tune up. got a nice cold air intake. headers, removed ulev, + h22 ecu. im trying to get it to where you have it when i can afford the parts. even with the ulev models, the 97-02 accords are tanks. their is a reason people refuse to sell these bone stock/rusting apart with 250k miles for less than 3k. plz keep this forever
I thought they would melt honestly but after I wrapped the down pipe. You can go for a run pop the hood and literally touch t hgv e down pipe with no problem that wrap is amazing
i know you got rid of this car and everything but just thought i’d say that the ECT on these cars send a signal to the ECU, and then from the ECU to the gauge cluster for the water temp. so swapping to the OBD1 is why that won’t work. however you can just wire the aftermarket gauge straight to the stock ECT, that’s what i did.

@@dontcryboutit ya I think it was worth it . If you do just get bigger injectors than 440 .that's what I used .oh and and atleast a stage 2 clutch cause it will slip the stock Clutch no problem . So I'm not sure how much power it's making it was making almost 200 ftlbs with a weak clutch so I'm going to up the injectors and clutch and get a retune . And I got the kit off ebay it's an emusa kit .I did all the fab work though
There are a couple of other things I got on auction here's a list Aem wideband afr setup P28 ecu with hondata s300 Obd2 jumper harness I had to weld up a down pipe and cat delete myself also the waste gate dump pipe Bov adapter flange Also I changed all my exhaust manifold studs to stainless steel stud the stock studs break Oh and injectors I used 440cc but just some advice go bigger and just get a good tune and look for a aftermarket clutch cause stock is no es bueno

I congratulate you, I have an automatic f23a accord and I would also like to convert it to turbo, I ask you, did you leave the same oem cam? how many pounds did you apply from the turbo to the engine and reprogrammed the ecu, in how many revs does it change and cut the fuel, mine cuts the fuel in 6.5k, It would be very helpful for those of us who have that same f23a and give something funny for the street

@@derekh.1952 yeah I’ve owned the I4 version with manual transmission and had much more fun at lower speed corners and stuff. The V6 is fun on the highway it handles well and is pretty stable.

Yes its stock int. It's pretty dope still running strong my only suggestion id go with bigger injectors than the 440cc that's what I used I think it can handle a bit more

I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get the car to a tuner with upgraded fuel injectors.. but I guess I can install them over there at the shop and just run the stock injectors.. just don't hook up the positive feed intake so it doesn't make boost? Wtyt?
You should be ok to run your stock computer and injectors to the tuner just take it easy and install your new inj.and conp once you get there that's what I did.

I want to try and see how much power I can get out of this f22a/f23a build i have in my accord right now.. she seems pretty peppy up top i wanna see if I add a good size header and full exhaust with ultra quiet resonator and see if I can pick up some power with it being so torquey and seems to love the low end torque.
Did you build the bottom end any? Like I can't find for the life of me any main studs for the f23a1. Not sure if the f23a1 shares same main with other engines. Help please
No it's a stock block .f23a1 parts are super hard to find you almost have to get them custom made although some parts are sharable between h22 but please dont quote me on that.im not sure which ones . But check out #cardudegarage he could probably help you

Give it a try you can always add a muff later if you dont like it il post the link to the exhaust kit i bought its cat back so I had to fab everything forward although they do sell test pipes too though

I used an emusa t3 t4 turbo kit and it's running 9lbs max with the 4lb spring in waste gate I had to make my downpipe custom theres a vid on my channel I semi explained it

It's a manual It shouldn't be to hard to swap but I think you might need a new ecu and possibly wire harness other than the other stuff like shifter slave cyl. And peddle but I haven't done it personally
The obd2 jumper plug turns the p28 with the s300 chip into a tunable ecu that reads and displays all of that ther only thing that didn't display was ther coolant temp

The maintenance is about the same as any other . But the mpg isn't bad just be conservative on the tune. You don't have to be 100 power all the time

Did you build the bottom end any? Like I can't find for the life of me any main studs for the f23a1. Not sure if the f23a1 shares same main with other engines. Help please
No it's a stock block .f23a1 parts are super hard to find you almost have to get them custom made although some parts are sharable between h22 but please dont quote me on that.im not sure which ones . But check out #cardudegarage he could probably help you
@@derekh.1952 yea I watch all the different guys doing h, f, g22/23 etc. Everyone says use the oem ones. I guess I'll just go with oem unless this other dude mentions something. But I literally can't find many parts,

Good job but you didn't have to install a water Guage, you ecu already has that information, just have to get it from there. Also you may of mentioned, but what are you doing for tuning? Fmu?
I installed a water gauge cause I wanted to be able to monitor the temp and it's a p28 with hondata s300

It's decent I was real conservative on the tune cause I daily drive it but I heat thru can handle up to 15 psi in running at 9 it's pretty quick

I have a muffler on the end . But I have 2.5 inch that runs into 3 inches and no cat I think it sounds good
Give it a try you can always add a muff later if you dont like it il post the link to the exhaust kit i bought its cat back so I had to fab everything forward although they do sell test pipes too though

I'm also looking into ign.upgrades and intake porting polishing . But main thing I wanna make sure I have all parts on hand. I hate taking things apart. Then you gotta order something

I used an emusa t3 t4 turbo kit and it's running 9lbs max with the 4lb spring in waste gate I had to make my downpipe custom theres a vid on my channel I semi explained it

It's a manual It shouldn't be to hard to swap but I think you might need a new ecu and possibly wire harness other than the other stuff like shifter slave cyl. And peddle but I haven't done it personally
How is the wastegate working with no boost reference? It's not even hooked up.

How did you get your rpms to work on the cluster
The obd2 jumper plug turns the p28 with the s300 chip into a tunable ecu that reads and displays all of that ther only thing that didn't display was ther coolant temp

It's worse but not that bad it just depends on the tune you get and how you drive. In all I only lost like 20 miles per tank
