I love your build how it sounds and the acceleration. It's a beast on a budget and has power under the hood. Love the F23. I have a bunch of questions about the 6th Generation Accord with the 2.3 engine. High appreciate if you could answer them. Im planning to do an All motor/Naturally Aspirated F23 build with Vtec. Which F23 engine is the best to use and which has the most power? Is the 4 speed automatic transmission good? Does it hesitate under heavy acceleration? Which is the stronger transmission to use, 4 speed auto or 5 speed Manual? How much horsepower can the 5 speed manual handle safely without breaking? Can you reach 170hp - 200hp on a natural aspirated 2.3 engine? How to make F23 engine rev higher ? Balance Shafts delete? Can you upgrade to stronger gears in the 5 speed manual? Do you recommend sticking with the stock shifter in the 5 speed or going to a short throw shifter? Can the stock ECU be flashed/tune or will you need a custom ecu to tune the car? How much power can the F23 engine/block/heads etc handle on NA build? Can you use forged pistons and connecting rods on the stock crankshaft? Is an oil catch can recommend for the F23 to get max performance? Is there an performance intake manifold for the F23? I have searched, there isn't one for the F23. Thank you so much. Appreciate your reply and additional information would be helpful.

Not that it matters but I'm pretty sure the f23a1 has vtec-e which is for efficiency. It's not like the vtec you see in any of the performance honda engines. vtec engages anywhere from 2300-3800rpms. It doesn't quite shift over to a more aggressive cam lobe, rather it just has the second intake valve open and close normally with the other intake valve. Before vtec engages the second intake valve opens and closes every so slightly, practically not moving at all. Just saves gas.

i know you got rid of this car and everything but just thought i’d say that the ECT on these cars send a signal to the ECU, and then from the ECU to the gauge cluster for the water temp. so swapping to the OBD1 is why that won’t work. however you can just wire the aftermarket gauge straight to the stock ECT, that’s what i did.
