      Great tutorial! May I ask you about the joints? I noticed you're using biscuits joins + screws. Is this the preferred method in European cabinet assembly? Is this better than using round dowels + screws (or minifixes etc)? Thanks.

      @mennolabeee  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@atexnik Dowels have to be perfect in line and therefore take more time. Biscuits are very fast and you can still slide them to the perfect fit. With a CNC its most of the time dowels. Thank you!

    Very clean and nice attention to detail. Could you share a bit about how you created the under-counter top detail? It looks like a stainless steel piece resting on the cabinets...then you build the cabinets up a couple inches to the top of the stainless steel piece. I would imagine this the under-counter reveal could be applied to really any cabinet (which would add height to the counter)...just have a metal shop create the stainless steel strip - right? Very sharp.

      @@rdy4trvl That explains why you might not be familiar with modern european kitchen furniture builds and trends. For this particular hidden handle, it is called a Gola profile made from extruded brushed aluminum and finally anodized or lacquer plated. There are 2 types of it: for the upper and the bottom cabinets. Variants with LED strip channels also exist. Nowadays lots of cabinet makers in European and post soviet counties use Gola heavily in their projects, these are pretty much wanted by lots of customers because of the sleek look and feel.

      @@atexnik Huge thanks for the insight - on the name, Gola(!!), variants and LED options! I knew it was European - they're always years ahead in design. And, as you say this is sleek. How do you like the Grass box system? Both Grass and Blum look like they have nice box systems, but I never see things like that used in the US. Outside of assembly, is there an advantage as a homeowner to having them? Versus boxes that were built by the cabinetmaker?

    • @mennolabeee
      @mennolabeee  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes i realy like Grass, easy and fast instalation. since the beginning i'm working with grass so i'm not realy in to blum systems. Grass works great and looks beautifull. The pre made grass drawers (scala) we only use them in kitchens, they look clean and are better protected with daily cleanings. On all of the other projects in homes we make the drawer boxes by ourselves with the dynapro system.
