Here is an easy way to get the tire off, seems too simple. I had to put back my road tires as I couldn't get the nubby tires off by myself. Came across a Yoututbe video showing how easy it could be. Unfortunate I didn't bookmark it, and now I can't find it again, but here goes. Use one tire leaver to get the tire off as normal, than use a second leaver UNDER the rim, between the spokes, and use the leaver to move the other leaver, and it will lift the tire off without much effort. Hope it's easy to understand. It worked for me (74), I can now put the nubby tires back on when needed. Another great video.
Great ride Sterling - never knew the Cali Condor had a 9’+ wingspan! You should’ve added the Hawk shriek sound ha. I’ve got the Butler SoCal BDR and good riding out from OC. Nothing like a big map you can lay out plus the whole map is waterproof.
Plan B looks like an excellent route. Your first road on the Butler maps led you to some absolutely stellar vistas with much rich history, thank you for sharing and I look forward in seeing your upcoming wonderful paths through Arizona. BTW, glad you got your inner tube situation taken care off 👍
Done! Just ordered three of the AZ maps. I found a very nice road this weekend in the pickup and look forward to returning on the bike. Thanks, Sterling!! Great idea.
Thank you for highlighting the new Butler maps. I rode some of your suggested routes in my last trip to AZ. I have already ordered the AZ maps to have handy for my next trip to your state. Love your videos. Best!
I think plan "B" stands for Butler Maps! In my opinion the only maps I need. Between them and the Rever app the world of motorcycle routing doesn't get and easier. I love this channel!
I picked up three of these maps this morning based on your video. We're relatively new to Arizona, and I think these maps will be a great way to explore the State on our adventure bikes. Thanks for the great videos Sterling. Keep them coming.
Great vid. I've seen some of that area many years back. Had some mines up in that country so a little side drive. And a lot of motorcycling. Next time.
Vermillion Cliffs is one of my favorite spots in the world - the Jurassic Kayenta Formation is just spectacular. But you rode right past my #1 - the road up to Locket Meadow in the interior valley of Mt. Humphrey. That’s heaven on earth. I hope you catch it on the flip side, Sterling! And, yeah, Butler Maps are great! 😃😃😃
Hey Sterling, ive followed you since your trip to Baja years ago. You've been an inspiration and you've fueled a lot of my own motorbike adventures on my little 250, including riding it all over the 11 western states, British Columbia and Baja California, all originating from the south sound area. Dont deapair though. Flats are where it at and learn to love sand. Those are my two favorite small bike sayings! In the end, theres so much joy and reward in small bike touring!
Great scenery captured by your professional eye. Love the reddish colour of the rocks, reminded me of a holiday we took many years ago in Sedona (which incidentally is where we first experienced our first American ‘Sub’…about 18” long!) 🇬🇧
Another awesome start to adventure. I think there is a CT125 in my future.. I travel on a Sidecar but find it is just not the Dual Sport adventure bike I try to make it.. The ideas are happening. If I haul a little Honda behind the sidecar, maybe I can have the best of both worlds.. Keep it up and let the inspiration continue
Really enjoyed this video. I stopped at the Utah end of House Rock Road once but, was on a hurry to get to Saint George and didn't go south. Now I wish I had ridden House Rock. I am looking forward to your next video.
Thanks for another beautiful episode. Besides the superlative cinematography, you have what my Zen teachers call “the mind of a beginner” which lends a sense of wonder to the things you encounter during your rides. Thanks again.
There are heavier duty inner tubes for extreme use…they are much thicker and tougher to install but once done…usually, usually no more issues…Michelin makes them…no idea if Woody’s in Colorado might offer rim sealing to get tubeless? good luck!
Super maps, Sterling 👌! The Butler map series should be interesting. I could use one for Vegas. When campgrounds are full, one crates their own camp. I pray you're not traveling as we speak. The heat is way too much for enjoyment! I was riding 4:30 to 6:30 am. Waiting for cooler morning's now. Stay Safe!
I have just got the CT125 in the UK and have started doing the 5000 year old Ridgeway in bite sized pieces 🙂, its 85 miles long in total. Your photography is making me want to up my game, well put together, thanks for sharing. Ride safe, Chris
Another spectacular video! Props for braving the 89 Autobahn on a 125. On a side note, I want to advance signup for your packing a MC class😂. Still amazed how you fit camera & camping gear, and even a cooler.
Love this series already, and I was already familiar with Buckler maps, but not the adventure maps! Great! However, the coupon code does not work for me. Maybe because I’m in a foreign country?
All the patches on that tube made me laugh. Don’t worry about it. Ending up in that situation is just bad luck, and not having enough experience with tires & tubes. I was a life long bicycle racer and ultramarathon bicyclist. I now ride motorcycles because of congestive heart failure. I remember a few times when things got out of control and I had tubes with multiple patches 🤣. Once you have more than one patch on a tube, you’ll have a patch for failure. Just the mathematical odds :)
I am interested in purchasing the Butler adventure map. But I am wondering if you can incorporate the map with a garmin moto gps, I see that you are using both. Thanks Sterling for the awesome videos
@@SterlingNoren last month I bought the gps Kevin SD card and rode half of the Mid Atlantic BDR and the gps worked awesome, I’m planning on doing the other half soon. I am wondering how you know if you are on the trail of the paper map because it’s pretty easy to get lost out there without a good gps. I see you are using a gps and the butler map and was wondering how you are using both. I’ve been on motos my whole life but this year I bought the Honda crf 300 rally and I’m planning on throwing it in the back of my sprinter van and exploring the southwest this winter when the snow starts flying in Pennsylvania,,,, your videos are the best, they inspired me to get out there.
@@neilmekolichick6582 I like to use the GPS to follow a track, like a BDR, and know my exact position in relation to the track. I like a paper map to give me a good big-picture overview that can't be seen on the GPS. Each has its own merits. Together they work great.
Always love your content Sterling…I ‘m sure you’ve covered why you’re going this on the Honda vs your BMW but seems like you’re Beemer would be more comfortable:)!. Hoping to make your desert ride next spring!
I always fear having to fix a flat, inner tube's are the pits. There has got to be a better material to make the tube out of these days. Dunlop must be laughing at us up there 😂
Those are some cheap xss tubes...they make heavy duty tubes and then put some "ride on" in those tubes. It's what the border patrol uses on their bikes and I have it in mine. Good luck!😎🍻
I really enjoy your content. I was certain I seen you traveling north out of flagstaff. The KTM 1190 I was riding could BARELY pass you. Lol Seeing the little 125 loaded up on the big road stuck in my mind. Keep up the great content.
Love all your Content Sterling i just started 3 premiers on my Pan America . first time with filming > suppose it takes time to be as great as you . Thanks from Tod Wagner . On Utube
Hi, Sterling-san. I use "Nishimoto Industrial Sight Stand NK-167 for Honda Hunter Cab CT125 (JA55 JA65) Side STAND HONDA NISHIMOTO". I recommend this side stand for your CT125 adventure journy!! Thank you.
That was quite good and Butler maps are a “go to”. The weather looks great ie not too hot. When did you ride this? As well looks like you have a new cooker? Would love to know more about in a future episode!
House Rock road is a washboard nightmare. It cost $30 to replace the fasteners that vibrated out of my bike. A few interesting sites but not worth the pain
Butler Maps ROCK... I've been using their paved road maps since they started. I might have to try the Adv Maps. I know you need content with DRAMA BUT FTLOFnG I think a 300+ ish bike might be a better choice considering the weight you are carrying and to "SAFELY" ride on paved roads without being a NUISANCE or a Danger. Sterling, you may want to check with Butler Maps about the discount. They are offering me a $1.99 (3.5%) discount on their website. Not the 10% posted on your video.
@@SterlingNoren Sterling, I figured out why I was only getting a $1.99 discount on at $55 order. I was ordering three maps, two of them were already discounted $4 as a bundle and I was getting a 10% discount on the third map. Sorry for the confusion.
This is a brilliant series. We don't need a 100 hp "adventure" bike. You need a desire to explore the roads less traveled.
Thank you and yes, it seems to be true, at least for me.

Great Series!!! I live in Tucson and am always looking for new routes. Please keep the series going.

55mph on a Trail 125, you must have had the motor wide open the whole way.
50 to 60 mph on a ct125? Hum!
