    Its weird when I see acne on other people it never diminishes how attractive they are to me but when I see it on myself it completely destroys my confidence and how attractive I feel

      It’s okay Sage, I feel the exact same way. There are people I see with acne just as bad as mine or even more and I don’t see them any differently. However, when I see mine I criticise myself so much for it. But the best thing you can do is know that no one else pays that much attention to your skin as you think they do. I’m sure when people see you they see past your acne, even if you don’t. It’s annoying, but it will go away one day so don’t stress too much about it. I’m sure you’re very attractive and your skin definitely does not affect that at all. 💓💓💓

    I've had acne for years, and have never gone at least a week without having acne. It was a 24/7 thing for me since I was around 13. But recently I started using The Ordinary products and a Cerave cleanser and my skin has never looked better.Right now, its been around a week and a half since I haven't broken out with acne. I don't have to wear foundation 24/7 anymore but I'm anxious my acne will come back worse. I've a lot of acne scarring on my cheeks and I'm doing my best to heal them.
    Acne is the worst.

    I came across your story and I had watched it through tears. I could feel your pain. As a young man I went through that for three years or so and without the treatments that are so good today. Almost didn't want to go to school some days. I was at that age where your body is going through all these changes and throw peer pressure on top of that. Felt so embarrassed to ask a young lady to go for movie and dinner. Was so, so happy for you that you found a great caring Dr. that brought back that big smile that said, "Come On World. I'm Ready For You Now!"
    Your Beautiful, always remember that.

    I bought accutane on the street because my acne wasn't getting any attention from doctors. My life was ruined for a number of reasons but it Pisses me off as accutane WORKS but is quite expensive if I'd have had the proper treatment when I was younger It may not have led me to the position of suicide before Christmas time, and you can tell acne was a big part of my shitty life because the algorithm has intentionally thrown this video here and I'm close to death yet still spend ten minutes even commenting on this bloody thing no one will read. Even though I've never really met you, I can tell you seem like a really wonderful person. Please don't listen to these people who have replied and given you acne advice when you didn't ask for it. I've had a very similar experience to you: I've had bad acne for a long time and it's made me really really depressed at times. It's taken me a loooong time to understand, but I've realized finally that acne doesn't make me ugly, despite what everyone tries to convince us. It actually makes me unique, which I think is really beautiful. I think you're really beautiful if you have acne.

    i have really bad acne scars and acne. it has made me really depressed. it’s given me social anxiety even though i’m a fairly confident person (face masks helped me get back my confidence). in 2018 i remember some old man wouldn’t stop staring at me then he looked at his wife and was pointing at his skin then at me. basically talking about my acne scars. i still think about this today. i didn’t wear a face mask for the first time today in the store and this girl would not stop staring at me. i would stare back and she would keep looking. i wanted to cry. my skin looked terrible today especially because i have been breaking out like crazy lately. now i can’t go out without wearing my mask or makeup. makeup barely covers my skin problems but at least it does a bit. i can’t stop crying. i’m turning 23 tomorrow and my acne and scars are ruining my life :( ive spent thousands on procedures and it feels like this will go on for the rest of my life. i just want to be normal

    To those who have mild or severe acne, please don't prick , rub or even constantly touch your acne. These two reasons worsen the condition because these cause irritation on your skin. I suffered acne before and went different medications, but none of those solve my acne issue. Just let your acne dry, as simple as that.

    Acne, even minor amounts can be debilitating. I had breakouts around my hairline when I turned 30. I was never without red, sometimes sore red bumps. Nothing worked at all until I finally went to the gp about it, feeling like an idiot for something so "minor" and he gave me benzoyl peroxide cream. The tiniest amount every night before bed cleared it completely. Weirdest thing is if i stop it comes back, years later. No idea why it began or why I still need to treat it. Just glad it works.

    How can you have had severe acne for that many years and have never heard of accutane?

    • @lyreczka
      @lyreczka 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think she has heard about it, but dermatologists usually give it as a last resource. I haven't had acne as severe as hers, but more cysts. Took many surface medication, 2x antibiotics. Accutane only after blood tests, a short observation in the hospital (probably excessive, but my dr. worked in this hospital and I'm Polish so didn't have to pay), opinion of a psychiatrist, and had to have blood tests every two months or so during the treatment, take birth control. And several months later acne and oily skin came back almost as before. Eh.

    • @lenzcliff6298
      @lenzcliff6298 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had it for years and it was as sever as hers... doctors simply didn't want to tell me about it because acne patients are very, very good for money. Basically many doctors want us ill, since then we will come back to them. I only got the info that accutane existed when I was 19.
      I hope karma comes for my ex-doctors who took so much of my money on purpose and knew that they were not helping me.

I've been suffering with acne all my life since 2010 but I finally found a cure to it in 2020 when I decided to give up trying everything. no dermatologist appointments. no skincare products. no medications, nothing. its really just our daily life choices that's enough to heal our acne and no doctor will tell that to you. It also doesn’t help that I lost my sense of smell from rona. To quote Private Pyle from Full Metal Jacket: ”I’m in a world of shit”. I hate that this is the life I’ve been given. if anyone reading this struggles with acne I would highly recommend trying this. purchase La Roche-Posay Effaclar gel (green bottle white top). Recommended by my doctor. I have spent so much money on every product you can imagine, however, they all lead to breakouts. The ONLY thing that has literally stopped my breakouts is this gel. My current routine has stopped my acne completely for nearly a year and counting. I have never felt so confident! Heres my skin care routine. (DON'T was your face in the shower, after the shower wash your face in the sink, use warm but not hot water , one pump of the gel and massage your face, rinse off with cold but not freezing water and dab with a clean towel to dry). I know having acne can really take a hold of your life so I wanted to share this and help someone

      At least be grateful that you got acne when you were quite old and you have a husband, imagine those teenagers who deal with acne at 16 years old and then have to endure scars for their entire lives, many men die without children and a wife because of their acne scars that took away their confidence during their youth to find a partner

    I know everyone says this but genuinely to offer hope to anyone reading this comment section who is suffering with debilitating acne - cut out dairy. I went vegetarian in my early 20s and didn't notice a difference with my skin but when I went vegan and cut out dairy, the change was dramatic. I still used some topical medications like benzoyl peroxide and duac at the beginning and use for occasional flare ups. It takes a few weeks to notice but stick with it. I used to have cystic acne mainly on cheeks, chin, neck, nose. I still have some scarring and a spot every now and again but nothing like what it was. Everyone is different but I've read so many similar stories of people cutting dairy/animal products out of their diet and it has made a difference to their skin.
