8:48 just an FYI, Spotify has really shoddy lyrics for a lot of Gizzard songs. Planet B's last 2 lines are actually "Sinners are grinners, ear to ear / Baby Jesus sheds a tear".
Walter idk if you noticed it but I love that menacing harmonica dive bomb Ambrose during the verses of “Mars For The Rich”! I didn’t notice it the first few listens, gotta love all the layers they have in their songs
The ending to Hell and the baseline in Mars for the RIch is what got me into heavy gizz. Still a Fishing for Fishies stan (gimme more harmonica) but this album is a real goshdanged treat!
Saw you had Nonagon as an S, immediately knew I'd like the video. Then you came in hot with the Megadeth comparison, which I've made to people so many times, and instantly subbed.
Regarding what you said at the end about other genre bending artists, ‘Oh Sees’ might be the next best thing in that regard. They cover garage, punk, psych, prog, pop, thrash over the course of 27 studio albums with the most recent coming out last Friday. There was a time where if someone called king gizzard an oh sees clone they wouldn’t be entirely wrong. Oh sees were formed in the 90s and some tracks off of 12 bar bruise are heavily oh sees inspired. The connections go further when oh sees distributed two king gizzard albums (quarters and mind fuzz) on their record label castle face. Gizz distributed the oh sees album ‘mutilator defeated at last’ on flightless. I can tell you’re gizzing out hard right now but I always find the oh sees rabbit hole and king gizzard rabbit hole are dug side by side. Maybe you can dive into them after!
When you say about artists that genre bend ween have to be at the top of my list. They aren’t putting out new music but every track on their albums is a different style and so much fun. Highly recommended!!
Also if you wanna check out another genre-blending/bending band that’s on the same level as King Gizzard look into Mr. Bungle! They started out as a thrashy sort of metal band then went to a ska kind of sound then blended jazz, hard rock, funk, doo wop and a few other genres together in one way or another
Hi mate, loving the content. By any chance have you heard of Tim Minchin? Talent is up there with Ren in his own kind of way. Would love to see what you think of "dark side awesome version". He can sing, play instruments, act and is a now famous playwright. Amazing man. Keep up the good work 🤙
Thank you so much! I am so honored! I’ve done one Tim Minchin song before but I’ll absolutely check that one out next when I return from my brief hiatus. Prejudice by Tim Minchin (A Blind Reaction) th-cam.com/video/3TiZtzhyStk/w-d-xo.html
Please do Rattlesnake from Red Rocks 2022. Same energy from The (evil) River translated to Rattlesnake. Part of my personal top 5 live ever. Please please
Actually the whole list has changed since I posted that list. Having time to live with the albums has changed the list for sure. The other thing that has changed the list is the addition of the other albums I’ve listened to since. I’m gonna finish the final five albums I’ve yet to react to and then I’m gonna do another list. Then, after living with everything and seeing what I naturally revisited, I’ll assess again.
Yes. Not only that though. Mostly about general self-destruction, the worst of that being human-accelerated climate change, at the hands of the rich who have the arrogant mentality that they are removed enough to be safe.
I’m on a current hiatus from recording content (outside of documenting my sobriety journey). I will be returning after things in life cool off. Between my grandmother in hospice, moving, and adjusting to sobriety, I’m sitting a few rounds out. I intend to finish all of my album reviews and bring Gizzdays back, but I have to focus on real life right now.

Planet b has uncanny resemblances to Blackened as well.
I just had this stupid though and I'm sorry to announce that in my head you'll be 'Walterwooski' now.
we need a KG & LW full reaction. Seriously under rated albums. Some of the songs from them are top Gizz songs
Agree, very strong songs in the microtonal realm.
imagine how good those albums would've been without the pandemic and separation of the band members

Anyone else start to think to yourself, when Red Mars For The Rich started that Walterooski's face is gonna melt over the bass solo?
OOOH nice, this is such a great album! Thank you for taking the time to react to these and pump out such good content :D
Great video man
Great stuff man. Its insane how this band can make such an incredible thrash metal album out of no where
Planet B is one of my favorite KGLW songs - got to hear it live in NYC!

Superbug predicted Covid
don’t know if someone already said this but superbug is a term for a bacterial disease that builds up resistance to antibiotics
It's a damn good album, like holy shit.
Rattlesnake is one of my absolute favourites, from Microtonal Banana
woo!
Red Mars for the Rich - another favorite… just kick ass eco-metal

Prejudice by Tim Minchin (A Blind Reaction)

@walterooski awesome, yeah prejudice gets hammered on reactions for the "shock value" but darkside is alot more clever musically.

I see you have Polygondwanaland as a B. Is it still there for you? To me it’s an S. Crumbling Castle is my #1.
I have this album as a B.

With that all in consideration, all three of the metal sounding albums hit S-tier to me. I won’t share more than that though 😂
This album is totally about climate change.

@@bitterbum1yes, excellent point.
Are you still doing gizz reactions?
