    I tried the overnight coconut oil. It was so amazing when I washed it out today. My hair was soft easy to detangle and melted into my hair wonderfully. Thanks so much.

    I've been prepooing with coconut oil for about two months now and it really helps keep my hair soft and shinny... I don't use it on my scalp it dries it out

      Hey Wendy! I'm glad you got it to work for you as well. I didn't want to stop using it completely when I realized it was the culprit to my dry scalp issue, so this technique works was perfect

    I LOVE ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS :) AND I'M ACTUALLY REALLY GLAD YOU DID THIS VIDEO, BECAUSE I USED TO PRE-POO WITH COCONUT OIL TOO, BUT THEN I STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS USING COCONUT OIL. I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT JUST APPLYING THE COCONUT OIL TO THE LENGTH OF MY HAIR, LOL. THANK YOU FOR THAT IDEA....AND, AS ALWAYS, BEAUTIFUL VIDEO :)

      😊 ❤️❤️ Thank you Stacey! Your support means a lot to me ; Lol!! You're welcome! I know what you mean, I wanted to just use 1 oil for prepooing but coconut oil & olive oil seem to serve their purpose for my hair & scalp needs xoxo

    I'm so glad I found your channel! it seems that all other natural hair gurus are low porosity which is why their tips don't work on my hair.
    my high porosity hair hates the winter time and it's constantly tangling and matting at the crown, even after I wash and detangle it. Not even apple cider vinegar treatments help, and my hair hates coconut oil :( It loves olive oil, but that doesn't work all the time.
    I'm so lost. I'm gonna twist my hair today just so I don't have to worry about it but I'm afraid my hair may be damaged in the middle from detangling on wet hair (I don't do this anymore since learning that it is bad for my hair).

      I'm glad you found me!! lol ; High porosity hair can be a challenge..I get really bad tangles if go a long time w.o detangling. Twisting is a great option though. It will keep hair stretched, less likely to tangle.

    Hi, this is a good pre shampoo. And I part the hair and add coconut oil to scalp every three to four days.

      Don’t put it on your scalp. It’ll clog your pores.

    Maybe I should try coconut oil on just my strands cuhs it makes my scalp itch and dry out as well I'm going to try it out because my hair detangles so well with it but previous times it made my scalp itch and feel weird lol

      Hey girl!!! ; YES! It's great for detangling & strength, but for whatever reason my scalp doesn't like it. lol. So I had to compromise!

      It’s not for your scalp. You should just put it on your strands. The idea behind pre-pooing is easy detangling for hair and to stop cuticles from opening too much. And also keeping the protein inside your hair. It’ll clog your follicles though cause it’s very heavy.

    I think I heard you say in a more recent video that you prepoo overnight now instead of the 30 min you do in this video? If so do you feel like overnight works better?

    • @AfroKhadisiac
      @AfroKhadisiac  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes! I've been doing it for a couple of weeks now and my hair seems to be stronger. I don't wanna say it's been helping with moisture retention because I'm not sure, but my hair is retaining moisture for longer as well. I think it's a great treatment for damaged hair for sure!
