Thank you so much for this (and your other videos in the series)! I've been getting bored of just quilting in a grid pattern, and it's so nice to have some alternative ideas. My little machine feels a lot less limited now :)
Hello! I hope you are having an awesome day! I was working and filming in my sewing room all day and now I get to sit and watch you while I repair my blue jeans. I hope you have a great and creative week ahead. Thanks for sharing this video and your talent.
Great video and pattern. Love how you make it look so easy. All the best. ❤️ Peace and good fortune and good health to you and yours. Hope you had a wonderful Easter holiday. 😃🐰🐣🌼🌺🏵
I've enjoyed your many video's. I'm looking for sewing instructions for a particular pattern, a Starburst silk tie for a memory blanket/quilt. I haven't come across a single video that instructs how to sew together each silk tie in the Starburst circle. Is this one you have done? I'd appreciate your assistance as you are so accomplished with all of your videos. Thank you for your wonderful works.
This isn't something I have actually done, but its a lovely idea. I do know that Sew Very Easy published a video not long ago about making a tablecloth out of silk ties in that pattern. I'm sure you could adapt it to quilts. Here's a link: th-cam.com/video/BMYH49Sat4M/w-d-xo.html
That Carpenter’s Star really is perfect! I have always liked that pattern and now I know exactly how I’m going to quilt my next one! My only question is whether the spacing would be too far apart on a baby or a throw-sized one, but I’ll measure it when I get there! Have to finish my current 20 WIPs before I get to make this, but it sure is inspiring me to get done so I can play with this!
It is turning into one of my favourite quilt patterns as I make these videos. Re the spacing I guess it would depend on the size of the baby quilt. You can adjust the width of the spaces to make it fit, you might end up with fewer lines, but I definitely think it can be adapted to all sizes of quilt. Hope that helps!
I design the quilts in PreQuilt which is a website like EQ8. Once I've designed them, I open them in Illustrator and draw my quilting lines. I am planning a video showing how you can do this in various different software. But you could do it in any software that allows you to draw shapes. Canva, Word, Powerpoint etc.

Thank you very much for this tutorial. It is clear, concise and very informative.

Thank you! You too! I have jeans to fix, no idea how but I'm sure I'll figure it out :-)
The lines are *much* easier to see, especially when you take the quilt design away.
Excellent, I'm glad they are more visible! Thanks.
Love this one!
Thanks, it's one of my favourites too!
Thank you again. Great video. I like the carpenters star quilt with the starburst quilting design 👌
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked it, I love it so much I'm going to have to make one :-)
Darn. I’ve needlessly over-quilted my carpenter’s star, and now see how beautiful the starburst would have looked!🤦🏽♀️
Next time! Check our the tartan lines video though! Now i need to make 2 carpenters stars :-)

I don't know about making it look easy but thanks for your kind words!!!
Thank you.
You're welcome!

Are you cutting the thread after each line?
I am yes, but on a real quilt you could sew up the outside excess and start your next line without cutting threads.
How do you do the mocked up sample quilts? Is there a way to place an image or create a mock up of one's own quilt in the program?
