Kung Fu Hustle is a stand alone Masterpiece; of humor, tragedy, good & evil, standing up to bullies, fighting back, lost love, and rising above every defeat and challenge to victory. And near the end, lost love is renewed; beautifully. You might even be inspired to look to the clouds for spiritual inspiration. It's simply a great movie, and language is no barrier to enjoying Kung Fu Hustle.

Pity that Stephen Chow does not know Jesus, who is the real God. Taoism and buddaism which he likes to propagandize actually are idolatry, poisonning many Westners believing Jesus. Stephen' first girlfriend has died from cancer but during the last years she had become a faithful CHRISTIAN. She passed away very peaceful.

Fun fact: The grumpy land lady, Yuen Qiu, was in the James Bond movie The Man With The Golden Gun. She was one of the school girls that save Bond when he is escaping from the Karate school. Her husband the land lord was played by Yuen Wah, who was Bruce Lee's stunt double in Enter The Dragon. When you see Bruce doing the acrobatic tumbling and back flip, that was actually Yuen Wah.😉

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS MOVIE. This scene was pure poetry in motion.
Her husband was Jackie Chan's "father" in one of his Drunken Master movies and played in a ton of the older Hong Kong Kung Fu movies. The "Toad" also played in many of the same flicks and if you watch the "Wu Tang Collection" that can be found here on youtube you'll eventually see them in their younger days.

I bought this movie on a DVD China town before it hit the US theater. I still went watch it at the theater just to experience other people's reactions and on a big screen. Simply one if my all time Stephen Chow's best movie ever.
I bought a bunch of pirate DVDs back in the day, watched all the movies but this one in particular was amazing 🤌🏻

The fight scenes are legendary. Will keep you at edge of your seats.. the comedy is epic.. will drop u to the floor laughing like crazy. Shaolin soccer and kung fu hustle are masterpieces. Stephen chow is a genius.

Kung Fu Hustle is an absolutely great movie. The landlady throwing the pots while constantly in her pj’s, hair in curlers and cigarette dangling is a true cinematic gem of a character. The Kung Fu Hustle video game is also a lot of fun as you jump over rats and try to avoid being hit by one of the planters constantly being lobbed by her.

I have a habit of finding bad points in movie first but damn , while watching this movie i just forgot about judging this movie ,i just wanted this movie to continue forever.
Probably the only movie where you could say , it is made like this for a good reason.

When I started watching movie this thought what kind of movie it is with some nonsense action scenes and good comedy,but by the end realised what a masterpiece is those movie...👍
I remember first time I watched this movie, first 30minutes I was like, 'what the hell am I watching?' coz the comedy is really strong, all the characters act like losers, some of them are disgusted me.. But when the action and drama started, I was like, 'wow'. This movie is like manga Made into movie: the various kungfu style, the CCG effect, even until the ending. I recommend it for others who havent watch it yet.
