If you are watching this in 2024 noticed that he has the laptop screen tilted forward more than it should be that's because the screen on this laptop sucks in different view angles it's look better and you too will find out that it's a cheap laptop.
i just bought asus vivobook 15 i5 1235u 42wh and the battery life is 4-5h for one charge ; does x515 gives more capacity or its all the same for this range ?
No, i just found that out. Another small gripe is there are no keyboard shortcuts to turn off the monitor when I'm connected to an external display. Well, I can turn the brightness down or simply switch to external only. No ethernet either. I bought this because it had three USB-A ports and USB-C if needed.
First you need to find out if you have backlighting at all. If it’s not there, then there’s no way (you can look it up on the website where you ordered the laptop, in the specifications)
yes u can upgrade ram memory to 16gb ram with extra 8gb ram and change ssd drive to bigger one, there is also 2.5 slot, but no cables, though there are visible drive ports on the motherboard. need to test this asap
Thinkpad T480 is better in every way. Easier to repair, hot swappable battery, insane battery life, more durable, better keyboard, and it's backlit too (and even if some variants aren't, it's so easy to buy a backlit keyboard and swap it onto the laptop).
@@Fhesseti You're writing nonsense, I'm a laptop repairman and I know which ones break down the most and mostly the hdd breaks down, and that's not easy because you lose data and you have to painstakingly recover important data. Also, lenovo has worse plastic and every disassembly destroys it, especially with these cheaper models
@@zabavno2112 If you really are a laptop repairman, you'd know the T480 uses an SSD, not an HDD. Don't accuse me of writing nonsense if you can't get basic facts right.
As a electronic technician, dont talk shit about thinkpads because their quality failed every repair. I own cheap i3 asus for work, its easy to fix and insides are clear.
very good video. other channels did not cover this model so thank you for doing it

yes u can use it for all kind creative work, if you work with big projects, check ram memory occasionally and upgrade it in the future if required.

No disk access?
I've seen 11th gen. i5 and i7 variants of this laptop without backlit keyboards, and I've also seen 11th gen. i3 variants with one. Is ASUS going mad?

will there be a problem with the battery when it is constantly connected to the power?
its the best to disconnect charge at least once per month and recharge the battery. after it goes below 75%
asus has an option in my asus that you can limit charging to 60 or 80 percent if you want to use it constantly plugged in.
