I just bought this stand from Amazon, along with a new 43" TV. Even though everything comes with written instructions, I already look for a TH-cam video to show me what I am reading. Thank you for putting out this video. So helpful.
Some advice to save others from the same frustration...save all the extra bolts that come with the stand. I purchased a new TV and realized I had thrown out the extra bolts, and the ones I had used to attach the old TV to the stand weren't the right size for the new TV. Had to order the correct sized bolts from Amazon (a set of various sizes). Lesson learned.
Just bought a similar version of this stand from the same manufacturer. I would have been completely lost without this video. Thank you so much, Tech Steve!
I appreciate this video so much! I googled the problem “tv stand too small for tv” for solutions and your video was one of the first to come up. I bought the one you recommended and I love it! Assembly was easy. Thanks for helping solve my issue!
Thank you, Tech Steve, we're going from a 46 to a 50 inch samsung tv. I love my old stand, the 46 sits on a single base, and fits in the corner perfectly. This was extremely helpful. Thank you!
I had a Vizio TV with a single foot-base, and I used an end-table to sit it on perfectly...That TV went out a few months back after I had it for 6 years. 🤪 It's hard to find TVs these days with that same kind of setup, and so thought I'd have to buy some long ugly stand to sit my new TV on. 🥴....Then, I recently found out about these tabletop stands...Thank God, cause now I can still use my end-table!! 😎😊
3 years on (2024) it's even worse in single pedistals. My circa 2018 Sony 65 inch Bravia is "Going". Green/purple screen that gets "Fixed" with power cord pull. Until the next time. I'm using a end table also as the Sony has a single pedistal stand. I can't picture a TV table fitting where I have the TV and looking even moderately good. Leaving a wall mount setup as the only alternative. Which I don't want.
Good video Steve! Only one thing missing from it is the extra tool you need for TVs 60" and over. It's called: Beer. You need it to get someone to help you lift the other end of the TV and mount it on the stand... those things are heavy! (BTW: you use this tool only AFTER you get done lol!)
QUESTION: At 3:07 you start screwing the stand to the TV. However, the TV is clearly not "centered" onto the stand. Why did you tighten the TV to the stand when it was not centered?
I bought this base because I lost the base on my 55" Samsung TV. Watching this vide first helped me get organized and made the process easy. It's very sturdy and don't see how it would easily tip over at all. I probably could have used a larger size base so the TV could be higher. There is less real estate to adjust the height on a 55" with this size stand. Thanks Tech Steve for the great video.
I’m doing reviews on these because I just got a 40” . My question is , do you feel it’s easy to tip over? Because I have a 2yr old… Or should I try the one like this but it’s taller and has wheels? What do you recommend!!
Perfect, that was abig reason I was having trouble picking a new tv, the stands for what I need where all edge fitted & may not fit on my bedroom tv stand. Thanks for this vid! 😊
Just got this yesterday. What a PIA to put together. Kept having to disassemble and redo. The instructions that come with it are not very clear. Also, the tempered glass base just makes my TV that much heavier. Next time I'll get one that swivels and with no glass base. Good video. Too bad I found it after my nightmare yesterday.
I would have loved a longer video for those of us not to comfortable putting the stand together but over all I am happy with what you did show. I got another stand but basically the same design so this helped.
Thank you so much Steve for the great solution to my quandary. My sister gave me a big 65 inch TV and it wouldn't fit anything I had in the house as far as a place to stand it. I sure hope this works for it!
Can you use this and adjust it to where the TV is all the way against the bottom? We have a TV who's legs add too much height, looking for something that is almost flush with the bottom.
Just wondering if the tv can swivel about safely on its base? You didn’t show it swivelling. The stand would be even better if it allowed the tv to swivel thus getting the best viewing angle in a small bedroom.
Thanks Steve I was able to put the TV stand together, I lost the instructions, I really appreciate the way you filmed everything graphic designer if you need anything give me a shout!
Hey Steve, I’ve been struggling to figure out how to put the safety clips on and after looking at several different videos I finally found yours and quickly figured it out. Thanks so much!

I really appreciate the video, I got my mom a 50-in 4K fire TV 5 hours before prime Day this year for $259.99. I own the same 55-in version from last year where the 50-in had two locations for the legs. Just unpacked the TV yesterday set it up only had one location for the legs under the questions section on Amazon it said the legs band was 37 in for the 50-in wow off by almost 10 in. It was over 40 in, I spent 40 minutes at least last night looking for a TV stand and ordered this one I'm not worried about assembling as I build cars for a living, just not confident on how secure the stand is. Nice to have a full tutorial video before it arrives tomorrow thank you.
I'm 80% there very simple, maybe my 10 years working as an auto worker plus previous assembly experience helped but I really don't see why people are complaining about the instructions they are pretty clear-cut and the hardware bags are labeled properly. I appreciate this video to see what I was getting into as a lot of reviews complained about difficulties as stated above assembling, I also seen complaints where the panhead bolts sheared off the threads also where the stand mounts to the base had poor welds and came completely off. I don't know if that was maybe earlier production runs or just a competitor trying to sway buyers in a different direction. The welds on the stand where it connects to the base are flawless, I tightened the bolts on the supporting beam to the stand with proper torque and no issues. I recommend using a ratchet and 10 mm socket it's more precise much cleaner and avoids a damage to the back of the stand and nuts. Thanks again brother, although there was 18,000 plus reviews it was unsettling to me to place this new TV on this stand but I can say without a doubt it is very sturdy. ***The sticker that indicates "This side up" unfortunately will leave adhesive behind. I used packing tape to remove most of it but in my case it was covered by the gasket so no worries. To be honest what took the most time as I'm a perfectionist LOL was getting the rubber feet installed equally on all four sides as they are squared but the stand is rounded. I also recommend installing the top cap before assembling the stand to the base to avoid downward pressure to snap it on. As far as the vesa brackets go I took them to the TV first, you don't want them hanging below the tv my option was the seventh hole from the top I paint marked. I chose the middle point for the horizontal support beam which may not work for you or your desired height but for me it works and is more stable. Also make sure when you secure the brackets to the TV the arrows are pointing upward. Also use (G) the three hole washers that go between the vesa bracket and screw which provides more stable support versus bolting the bracket on without and please use the security lock brackets.***
I know this particular stand won’t hold an LG oled cx 55’., but there are some on Amazon that can. How in the world is that possibility without the whole thing tipping over. If the tv is about 41 lbs, then the stand would have to be double that weight to hold it down.

Just got this stand today, sadly a little late for a reply but the max bolt dimensions are M8x35 and M8x50. They include many different size spacers which have many different combinations so this would definitely work for you.
How I would like this type of smartv support to reach my country Ecuador. I really like it and it works for a fine and elegant wooden center table. when will he come back to my country
Hi Steve, do you know if Perlesmith still makes that version? From wall to the edge, my mantel suits a 9 inch stand. Im sure a "9.5" would work, but it seems they've gone up to (10.2 depth) with their newer models.
@Stephanie Pope you can purchase Anti-tip TV straps. There's a company called KidCo and they sell on Amazon for $8.99. You may also purchase from other places as well.

I will need this video in the next few days. I have two tvs that need this. Hope it goes as planned. Lol. One is a 49" and my new TV is 55". Thank you for making this easy to follow video.
Is the base made out of tempered glass? If yes, how strong is it? Would a 50 inch Hisense tv be able to go on this stand? Your video is very informative!
I just returned mine to Amazon bcuz the brackets sat at both ends of the bar & had to use the last hole on each end due to the hole placements on my tv
If TV manufactures were SMART, they would make center mounted feet/stand so their TV would fit in most configurations. Some people don't know that these stands exist and therefore purchase another brand of TV that either has a center stand or feet that are more located toward the middle.
I have a long board placed across my TV cart for the time being and will attempt to mount it to one of these type stands this week. I hope I don't damage my TV!
I got my Perlesmith stand the other day and for practice set up my old 32 inch Vizio on it. Went well, but vesa holders protrude under tv which is not looking well by me. So with experience now I mount my 43 inch and they don't show. Looks good. I kind of think mounting something bigger on one of these stands would be unwise. I have an uneasy feeling that the 4 tiny, shallow screws hold something so big and heavy onto the stand and the mere 2 screw clips for securement.
Hi Steve, loved your vlog it helped me a great deal so thanks allot : ) I noticed your watch & i think that it look's cool, what Make watch is it please as would like one that looks like that?
@@TechSteve assembly of the stand. The parts that were speed up is actually of interest. I am not the only person who commented this. Thanks for the video it was good.
Thank you for the video. I have a question regarding the screws used to mount the 2 brackets to the back of the TV ( which is shown at 2:43 - 2:50 of this video ) , did those screws come with the PERLESMITH Universal TV Stand or they came with the TV itself?
@@TechSteve Thank you for your respond. I am looking to purchase the Sony 43 in. 4K HDR Google Smart TV KD43X80J, so does the size of the screw ( specially its length/depth ) change depending on the type of TV , or there is standard universal screw size which would fit all modern TVs? because I am cornered by selecting the wrong screw size I might damage the TV panel.
I’m not sure about that, in some cases I had to run down to Home Depot but 90% of the time the kits comes with every screw configuration.that you need.

I will need this video in the next few days. I have two tvs that need this. Hope it goes as planned. Lol. One is a 49" and my new TV is 55". Thank you for making this easy to follow video.
You’re welcome Annette
Thank you so much!! Does it fit all modern tv brands in that size range or are there exceptions to certain brands?
As long as it has a wall mount it should be fine
I really like it and enjoy your videos. Thanks for teaching me! Best wishes!
You’re welcome John
Is the base made out of tempered glass? If yes, how strong is it? Would a 50 inch Hisense tv be able to go on this stand?
Your video is very informative!
Nothing is perfect but it’s works
amazing content reviews and this was extremely helpful. Keep it up steve!
Will Do
It’s crazy how you put out a video with suggestions that will help me LOL 😂 I have a small stand but big TV 📺 thank u steve
You’re welcome 👍🏾
How do I know this will fit a sony x900h 55 inch?
Click on the link below the video and it will let you know the sizes it works on
Sony Vesa pattern is 300x300. This will fit the X900H I have the same TV and stand but the bigger version of the stand.
it's universal newer video th-cam.com/video/_N1GWapcf_I/w-d-xo.html
Very nice video!
I just returned mine to Amazon bcuz the brackets sat at both ends of the bar & had to use the last hole on each end due to the hole placements on my tv
Sorry it didn’t work
At 1:10, you measure the vertical length as 9.5", but on the amazon link, it says it's 11". Do you have a different model?
It may be including the box for shipping
Wld have been nice if you wld’ve slowed dwn to show how the base was put together 2gether
Thanks for this video super helpful!!!!!
You’re welcome
I think company are adding smaller spaces on more expensive TV for a reason
Is it still working
nice fast vid. thanks.
Hi Steve, loved your vlog it helped me a great deal so thanks allot : )
I noticed your watch & i think that it look's cool, what Make watch is it please as would like one that looks like that?
Thanks, it’s a Apple Watch with a black and red band.
@@TechSteve Thank you 👍
You're welcome

Thanks Steve ... This is exactly what I need for my tv ..👍🏽
You’re welcome
Hi Steve. Ty for the video. Can a tv be easily knocked over. I have 5 rambunctious cats? 😊🐾
I would consider creating an anchor to the wall for safety
This does not work on the 55" LG. The back of the TV doesn't have the four places on the back for the screws.
Never heard of a TV not having wall mount holes
Can I get replacement screws
I would go to Home depot
Awesome 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I just bought this stand. Thank you 😊
You will love it.
Was the name of the tv stand I need it ASAP???
This stand will fit a 37" - 55" TV set and hold 88 lbs. See more on amazon here geni.us/SvsFZ
Very helpful....thanks for posting.
You’re welcome Robert
Thx Steve!
You’re welcome
I wish you actually showed the setup of the stand. Thanks for the video.
What setup?
@@TechSteve assembly of the stand. The parts that were speed up is actually of interest. I am not the only person who commented this. Thanks for the video it was good.
The average view time of a video is about 3 mins so, just to give you a general idea. Just remember you have a instructions book in the box 👍🏽

Thank you for the video.
I have a question regarding the screws used to mount the 2 brackets to the back of the TV ( which is shown at 2:43 - 2:50 of this video ) , did those screws come with the PERLESMITH Universal TV Stand or they came with the TV itself?
The stand, TVs normally don’t come with screws
@@TechSteve Thank you for your respond. I am looking to purchase the Sony 43 in. 4K HDR Google Smart TV KD43X80J, so does the size of the screw ( specially its length/depth ) change depending on the type of TV , or there is standard universal screw size which would fit all modern TVs? because I am cornered by selecting the wrong screw size I might damage the TV panel.
I’m not sure about that, in some cases I had to run down to Home Depot but 90% of the time the kits comes with every screw configuration.that you need.
@@TechSteve Thank you for your help and valuable information. It is highly appreciated :)
You’re welcome

Thank you, so helpful
You’re welcome
My brackets feel loose
It’s not perfect but it works well
I might be able to keep my stand if I can find that cool gadget.
Thanks so much 👍🏻
Been at Costco looking at TVs measuring the leg feet etc.
Now I can actually buy a TV that I want not just one that fits on my table😎
Perfect 👍🏽
