Thanks for video. I purchased this stand after watching, so far so good seems of good quality. I'd just like to add a little info for anyone who has a 43" Sony as I had an issue and would like to save people trouble I had. For my TV the bolts that came with the stand don't fit so I had to get the correct size from hardware store. They had the right size but not length so I had to use additional spacers (extra ones that came with stand) to shorten length of bolts so to not screw them in to deep (harm TV). My TV has the resest holes for the bolts (had to use spacers inserted into slots per directions) so it was a little challenging for this unmechanically inclined gal. Just wanted to share for those who may come across that dilemma. Thanks again for recommending this stand and video.

If you're willing to risk the glass exploding randomly. Rare but it happens when a defect creeps into the glass manufacturing, it can take years for microfractures to spread enough to cause failure.

These are great. I am in a small 450 sq ft bachelor apartment. I can use a 36" stand with this pedestal mount to place a 55" tv until I can arrange for it to be wall mounted. Pearl Smith's products are great. I also use their dual armature fully articulating wall mount as well. The Pedestal mount is also great for mounting computer monitors on desks which are typically 48". it's much more stable and can prevent your cat tipping your monitor when she jumps on the desk and rubs against it (Been there done that it cost me a monitor as a result of the panel shattering upon impact) It's also great for child safety as well, but I would still attach an anti-tip strap.

I just ordered a brand new 65" QLED Q80 Samsung Tv .I wanted to go bigger, atleast 70 or preferably 75" but didn't because of this issue. Luckily my new TV has the middle stand instead of the feet legs. However had i known this product existed i would have purchased another larger screen size, ugh go figure 😑 I prefer the look of the legs to the middle stand but buying another larger tv stand is a hassle in itself and not cheap (as well as as too big for the space in my living room) I really wish Samsung and other tv manufacturers offered the middle stands as an add on purchase.
If you haven't already Steve can you review the the Samsung QN65Q80BAFXZC TV and the Samsung soundbar model HW-S60B/ZC , I would really appreciate it, especially the soundbar and linking/setting it up to my TV.

Tempered glass TV stands occasionally explode for no apparrant reason. It's due to occasional hidden defects in the glass they can be fine for years and then boom the glass explodes and your TV is on the ground. It's why stock TV stands are now made out of metal and plastic the manufacturer would be responsible for replacing the TV when that happened. It probably won't happen to you, but it MIGHT happen. An alternative are replacement steel legs that bolt on to the back of the TV the same way that the stands do. Because the mounting holes are closer together than the stock legs they are narrower.

I guess I’m asking if the G1 has the “typically seen” wall mount screw insets in addition to its “LG custom” fitting bracket and screw design. I truly appreciate any help and guidance.

    • @rkgsd

Not sure what you mean by its own system. The 4 bracket mounting holes are same pattern you'll find on all brands now. This makes stands and wall mounts universal.

I wouldn't use any stand that is glass. They shatter and your tv breaks at night or when you are not home. Look it up.

@@TechSteveover tightening of the screws in the bottom beginning of the instruction cause the glass to shattered trust me. Once that screw goes to deep and is over tighten and touch that glass which causes it to crack it’s done upon mounting that tv on that bracket which in due time will cause it to shattered.

Designing legs at the edges of the TV is a stupid design in the first place. It should always be one strong base in the middle, this way you can put it on virtually any table and not have to worry. Why they are designing everything with legs instead is truly dumb! Designers really do lack total common sense.

it's because it's cheaper to make the plastic chicken feet and less weight shipping. might also be safety related less likely to tip if they are at the ends instead of the center.
