I've never considered using the same base and simply replacing the bulb. I've always replaced both the base and bulb together. Thanks for sharing. If more bulb fail in the future, I might do it this way. 👍
Just get a T3 LED replacement bulb. Only about $10 online for a pack of 10. I replaced all center console bulbs with a single pack of 10, with spares left over. All that is needed is a flathead screwdriver, and plastic prying tool. Very easy, maybe 30 minutes total… the longest part of the change is getting polarity right, sometimes causing you to have to redo it.
You said you ordered 'Green' but the new diode looks Clear? I ordered the same part number and got clear as well, but the wire would not fit down in the holes! suggestions?

Order T3 LED bulbs as replacement. Exact same bulbs and setup. Unscrew old ones, screw new ones in.
