Hello. Yes, these are small jobs that you mostly don't do, because you think it's so much more work than it really is. :) Had some switches on my Camry, which I hadn't tried to fix in years either. But pulled myself together, after seeing how easy it really was on the Land Cruiser / PRADO. Glad the video gave you inspiration to get this done! I have over 100 videos around the 120 series. @@noneofyourbusiness4973 Okay. My GX model had these. But I don't remember if there was a light on those switches in the center console? The car I have today is a VX, without a separate AC system for the base units. I dismantled everything in the GX, to remove the carpet. I'll see if I can find the video from that job again! Yes, you're probably right. Forget that the GX470, has a lot in common with the Land Cruiser 120 GX here in Norway. A little unsure if the brakes are the same, since there is a much larger engine in the Lexus, the same with axles.

With the collection of switches that includes the mirror controls (including the small square switch to fold the mirrors), did you remove the individual switches first or the panel that surround them?
@@krisattard3465 Hello. Are you thinking of the switch panel down to the window for the steering wheel? There are some switches that have light, and others that don't. Greeting Pål (Paul)
Good day! I'm a little unsure if we got these cars without a center differential lock in Norway. But if this button is missing, then the car is probably delivered without this from the factory. Then it will probably not be enough to just mount a switch. You must also have a center differential lock on the center differential?
Good day. Dismantling front and back flare finders? I have not done this myself. But I have been told that they should sit with similar clips as plastic moldings on the doors. I have a video out there, about replacing clips on a door on my 2006 120 VX version. Those clips do not withstand disassembly so well, so I would buy extra clips, so you can mount new ones, when you have to put things back together! When I disassembled the door, I was told that it was easy to take it from the inside. But you did not get to all the clips from there. I almost reckon that it will be a bit difficult on the rest as well, without dismantling very much on the inside and inside of the screen arches. I used plastic disassembly equipment, from the outside to the end. I need to change some clips on the base screen of my 2003 120 GX after the weather. Just need to get away from more work on the family car 120 VX, before winter. But hope to come back with a video about this after being too! Regards Pål (Paul)
My pleasure! Glad the videos can be of help to someone out there. I have had the pleasure of finding so many videos that have helped me too! Regards Pål ( Paul )
Good day! No, it is not a sunroof / glass roof. Many Land Cruiser 120s were registered as seat vans here in Norway. Then the cars had to have space for a "box", inside the car. Unfortunately, the original ceilings were then too low. The solution was then to cut into the interior ceiling, and insert plastic or metal solutions, which gave a few cm higher interior space. This is not a pretty solution, when the cars were converted back to passenger cars after 10 years. Then you could build them back, without paying much extra in fees. In Norway, we pay very high import taxes on passenger cars, but much less on vans! Electric cars and Hydrogen cars are tax-free on import! Regards Pål (Paul)
Good day! Thank you very much. Yes, the roof is the result of strange Norwegian car taxes. We have very high taxes on car imports. A 5 seater Land Cruiser costs a lot in Norway. While a 2 seater imported as a van is much cheaper. But to be able to register as a van, there must be room for a box, but a certain size inside. Then there are many cars, which have to rebuild the roof inside, to get the right heights. Then we end up with ugly solutions! My 2003 120 GX, is 8 seats, and has the original roof. While this 2006 model has been a van, later rebuilt to 5 seats again. But the roof has not been replaced. Greeting Pål
