    Guitar is tuned to Drop C. I use the SG's rhythm pickup with the tone control rolled completely off to attain maximum thickness. The sound used is the Angel P-Ball preset on a Line 6 TonePort UX-1. More information can found by clicking the Sound & Setup link below this video.

    Some nice riffs here! I'd argue that this has nothing to do with sludge though, it's really just your standard 90s stoner rock vibe. Sludge by definition has a strong hardcore influence - Grief, Iron Monkey, EHG, Acid Bath... stuff that makes you want to commit arson.

    • @Cyrigar
      @Cyrigar 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cas Lynch if you're still trying to fix this problem, try lowering the bass side of the pickup and raising the treble side by tightening and loosening the screws, respectively. This will reduce the volume of your lowest-tuned string in comparison to the higher strings. just try not to make too big of an adjustment

    • @CoreyHunter
      @CoreyHunter  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like you're not muting the 6th string whilst playing. Muting is an oft-overlooked aspect of playing stringed instruments. I do mention it in quite a few of my videos. I might make a video dedicated to the technique in a future episode.
