Amazing to think of all that stuff sitting down there in the dark. One day that crane may topple into the water, for some future explorers to discover. Another interesting video.
Two of the best videos ive seen . Sheer scale of everything The echo , best looking wheelbarrow ive seen underwater. Clarity of water is beyond anything . 2003 seems like miners just left yesterday Brilliant video guys. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Wow, thats amazing. Its like they just left yesterday and just never came back. I hope that one day this mine could be reopened. There is still good quality slate in the flooded sections. I bet the lights would still work if you brought a battery and a DC to AC inverter with you.
For as small a Channel as this one is I'm surprised at how in depth with exploration you go mainly with the underwater drone which really captured truly interesting sights I've always wondered about underwater areas in mines. Thanks guys.
At 2:45 I think the metal object underneath the wooden box is a Jim Crow used for bending rails, also at 6:25 there appears to be another ladder leaning possibly within an opening in the chamber wall.
Maybe a good location to hear Ioan tickling the ivories with some Scott Joplin rags. The rov footage is so clear and who knows what may lay at the bottom.
Its odd how in alot of these mines the equipment is just left there, youde think it would be worth removing but apparently not. I love your videos! Cheers Daniel.
looks like that was the box filter for the pump that some one took from the bottom and hung up on the makeshift tripod before they stopped working that section.. maybe that use to be the highest the ground water came up too back then?
Love a good slate mine that is still kept up to date with mining equipment even though it shut in 2003 , loved the crane & train in there as well , I wonder if they would operate ever again ??
This video is very impressive and informative. The items that you have found are incredible, it almost looks as though they may have intended to reopen it at some point, bearing in mind the quality of the equipment that remains. Thank you for preserving this in a video form, this is as important to document for future generations as that which is very much older. It is all part of the rich tapestry that is Welsh mining.
Told ya- Slate quarries are cool! If it only closed inthe 80’s there will still be folk around that worked right there. Would be great if you could track a few down and show them this. I would love to hear their take on things. That would be some great historical record for you. I Challenge you😊
The unknown box hanging from the tripod may have been an electrical switchbox for controlling the pump. There appeared to be a switch knob on the side.
Just found you guys. What a great channel, and quite educational as well. I Can’t believe they just abandoned all of that huge equipment.😮 How was it flooded after it was abandoned?
Why does the Fifish display still show 5.68 feet even at 100 feet down and date stamp is 01.01.2019. Haven't you found out yet how to set the date and zero the depth?
That was a Jim crow for bending track it was under the box
Brilliant video again, keep it up and thanks, Ioan, for yesterday.
What an awesome explore guys!! Very very Nice! Love you guys 🤩

That would make a great tourist attraction, drained. Looks nice and stable. Amazing place to visit.
Amazing 😳. ✨🙏✨ just imagine the noise there would have been with all that machinery working ..

Pretty cool. Liked seeing a more modern mine from time to time. Beautiful clarity with the ROV!
Very cool 😎 👌

You should see if you can find a miner that worked this mine, might hear some interesting stories. I bet most are still around.
Looking fwd to part 3

Where is this mine. I would like to explore it.
A mini Jim Crow rail bender
Just found you guys.
What a great channel, and quite educational as well.
I Can’t believe they just abandoned all of that huge equipment.😮
How was it flooded after it was abandoned?
Would they have had a pump going all the time to keep it dry, or has it filled up with ground water since.?
Could the ROV cope with the Lower Levels at Llechfraith.. would the ROV disturb the dirt and ruin the visibility
Ive seen some explorers in this mine but owners not happy. But good vid anyways..
This is utterly amazing , where is this ? Would love to go
When did that mine close? When were those items from? I'm guessing that because they were riveted that they are c100 years old? Or am I way off?

8:06 Did anyone see that pinion gear ⚙️ under the wheelbarrow wheel?
5.68' the whole way down?
