I was born in Soviet country and always heard German as a rude sounding language, but this gave me goose bumps from the beginning till the end. Hiroyuki Sawano is a genius. To create something, because AOT was implying that it’s German based universe, and it fits so perfectly.

I am Japanese. I was looking for this! That's the correct German pronunciation. A long time ago, I chose German for my second language class in college.
I specifically searched for ‘German singing Vogel I’m Kafig’ to find this video and it’s a shame this is so far down the list of results as it’s amazing!

Finally, real german. Don’t get me wrong, i love the original version, but i was upset when I knew that the song is german and yet I can’t hear the lyrics. I thought it’s non-existent language or something lol

@@heart5929 you must not be a speaker of a latin language, nor should you have basic knowledge of latin languages. I speak a Latin language and when I heard the song I quickly realized that it was in German. and i don't speak any germanic language
@@GibborimAnq Well, I am German as well, and to be honest in the original it is for us native speakers really hard to hear out that it is in fact german for 2 reasons.
1. In the original the words get very often drowned out throug orchestry.
2. The pronounciation was really bad, don't get me wrong the song is amazing, but for a pre recorded song I would expect more precise spelling.
If I would hear the spelling without the melody I would probably get it, but not in a situation like when I am intensively watching a show with a huge plot twist and this gibberish of german xD.

decafjava Levi’s choice, Armin’s last resort, and for sure Levi DESTROYING Zeke. That whole battle was just ungodly. Felt like the stakes were real the entire time and nothing is the same for the survivors (on both sides) moving forward
Eren pointing at the sea is the most tragic scene in the anime, you won't realise it now as an anime only but when s4 comes out you will def rethink it and see what Eren was thinking at that moment, but without context I would say Midnight Sun was the most emotional episode ever.

It's really great to hear proper german pronounciation in these songs. Gemie, Sawano and AOT is a dream come true for me, but obviously Gemie can't be expected to pronounce german words correctly and sadly it does take a little away from the experience for me, no matter how gorgeous i think her voice is.
