Our first full week back on the road in Scotland and we are loving being around Galloway Forest area and relaxing! Hope you're all well and safe and as always thank you for your support! Rob & Archie ❤🐾
That's a great spot Rob. You can also stop overnight at the carpark at the very end of the Glen Trool road. It's a little bit busier no not for a longer stay and they ask camper vans to stay on the lower part, which is fair enough. But there is a great river walk and a bit of history . All the best, Pete
just recently had a short break in the dumfries & galloway area. stunning place , will return to explore more. as for a watch it all depends on how much you want to pay. i use a Garmin fenix 6x pro to track my runs, walks, etc (these can be expensive) but i have some running buddies who use a "Corus Apex" watch to track their activities and they say its really good, great battery life from both these watches. probably only need charging once a week depending on how much active you track. enjoy your scottish adventures.
Hi mate, yeah been looking at the Fenix 6 for a watch at the moment, since a lot of people have recommended the watch! Thanks for the help and recommendation 👍
I stop there last year for a few nights when the weather was a bit nasty . Did the walk up the mountain the north side of the stones, walked around Loch Trool and Bruce's Stones, also saw my first Dipper along the river, so got a bit of Scotish history and saw a bit of wildlife.
Ive heard that they have now blocked off this park up due to people trashing the place and leaving their rubbish everywhere, such a shame I this was true!
Yeah , I don't travel far. It is the same old story though, when it on your doorstep people don't appreciate it. They are trying to make it National Park status. Michelle
@@PackTheVanAndGo I will try. We have only had van for 2 years and been doing it up and it has just spent 14 weeks in van hospital, (missed the summer) it is old and needed a lot of work, we are fitting a diesel heater in next couple of days so I can use it over winter. Will look out for you, it would be nice to see other people's van builds. Michelle

Loved the video. I am on my second Fitbit. The first was bought as a leaving present for me 5 years ago. Just replaced it with a Versa 2 which I love too. Check my stats most days. Enjoy the rest of your trip 😀
Have a lovely trip, I’m from the area and we take the campervan away there and along the coast most weekends. It’s even more beautiful in the autumn. Apparently they’ve reintroduced wild boar to some of our forests, but they tend to keep to themselves thankfully. Midges are endless there, especially by the otterpool. Loads of stay the night scheme places along the raiders road, but quite busy. Kirroughtree good for getting a shower and it’s free overnight to stay. Xx
Hey, thank you for the help and advice, I did actually take a drive along the Raiders road and then decided to go to the Aqueduct in the nature reserve for a few days for some peace and quiet.. so beautiful this area, on the road again tomorrow and heading towards the Isle of Whithorn for a break! Hope you're well and might see you around the coast way sometime xx
@@PackTheVanAndGo The Isle is fab, great beer at the Steam Packet. We were there the other week and at New England Bay last weekend, it’s got a free park up with water and Elsan point too. Aye might see you on the road sometime 😃
Those Autumn colours are beautiful, fantastic location. Would it be the same place that we saw you walk, when it was covered thick with snow last year?
Love the colours at this time of year in Scotland! Not been to this location for about 2 years now, the thick snow area was in Aviemore area. Hope you're well?
Do you know what the max rating of the alternator is on our vans as the max I can get with my B2B combined MPPT is only 50amp and would like to upgrade
