    We live in Galloway (just 30 mins south of Glentrool) and often find it difficult to leave!!! Ha ha. Such a beautiful, largely forgotten/ignored/undiscovered part of the UK.

    Good vlog again Rob, looking forward to your Scottish winter. Would love to do it myself but if the weather got a bit harsh mine is a motorhome so wouldn't cope as well as a van ;) One day I might buy a van... you never know. Take care matey!

    Sorry, I was hoping to catch you on Galloway hills to say hi, maybe next time. I needed some more work (diy) on van even though it just spent 14 weeks in garage. I have also bought an all-in-one diesel heater so as soon as it in I will get up the hills, it didn't come with plate for bottom so hubby going to make one just for safety. I live in Port William, I like to park up near Murray's monument. Love the videos, will look up lilla hus. take care. Michelle

    • @PackTheVanAndGo
      @PackTheVanAndGo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah you def need a diesel turret for mounting the heater to the van, makes life so much easier! I'll be around for a while mate, so hopefully see you soon!

    Brilliant one Rob. That castle is my 1st place to visit in D&G. Love the shape of it, Hope you get the chance to visit Grey Mares Tail near the Wild Goat Park just down from Clatteringshaws. Plenty of good parkups in D&G. Have a wonderful time exploring especially with that fabulous pair & Oliver 🐈 Safe Travels Mate

      @@PackTheVanAndGo awesome ….I if you head to Lochranza and drive just past the ferry terminal (small terminal takes you to Clanoaig ) …there is a place called Sailor Grave a good place to park …public toilet and water fill a 10 min walk….ferry terminal waiting room all 24/7 good for charging phones etc …there are lots more spots to stop if you head round the west side ….
      My friend has a craft shop/candle making workshop in Lochranza …he first arrived in Arran in the 60’s a young Londoner in his VW campervan ….it’s a great shore walk and definitely worth a visit

    The car park where you met up looked incredibly muddy but in the next part, glorious green and fine. Such a contrast to Scotland, love it. All laundrettes will be card payment when they replace the machines for new ones, as the coin slots won't be able to take the £50 worth per wash the way things are going.

    • @PackTheVanAndGo
      @PackTheVanAndGo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The sun can make a lot of difference in a few hours in Scotland! Doubt the machines will be changed over for a while from cash to cards, although it would help!

    Don't know if it's too late in your travels, but have you been down the Wigtown peninsula? Don't know either if it's van-friendly, but there's some beautiful coastline down there (Monreith, Isle of Whithorn etc). Used to go there every summer when I was a kid.
