- The tetramorium have been busy growing and filling up all there space, luckily they got the biggest expansion yet !! now there all set on housing for a while i can sit back and enjoy them worry free :D hope you enjoy, best served in 4k or as hd as you can get, to see mouthparts and details.
they are such a big colony!
Hopefully ina few months will look back on them like they were so small in march 😄

I have my own little colony now 2 queens and around 40 workers they are a great ant to watch.

Nice to see the whole family . It had insofar me to give mine a chunk of roach tonight . I have been giving them fruit flies since i have thousands at the moment but i don't think they are that great at hunting them .
Theyl love that for sure, gonna give mine 3 adults tonight :) bought 4 boxes down the shop because they were there haha 😄
You seriously need your own roach farm they are about £15 for 100 on ebay but some sellers would set you up with a full breeding colony if you asked .

Next time with the DIY Ferrero Rocher box I would recommend turning it upside down and creating a pit for the tubing so it is easier to view. Great video and lovely colony!
Good idea, will be refining the design as they I go, pipes are deffinetly not perfect atm haha

That's the reason there so good at being am invasive species, they have very little interspersed aggression and seem to know together there unstoppable :)

Do the tetra's eat seeds or nuts? I just received a 40 worker 3q colony and am looking for tips.
@Stellarium-ui6so I'm inside about seeds but they do eat walnut for sure:)
How do you keep them warm?
Well during summer when it's warm they have a couple heatmatts with a thermostat. During winter they get tucked up nice and warm in the incubator all stacked up. The summer heatmatts are just fir cold nights to btw, off all day
How long have you had this colony?
Maybe 2 years now but in this video maybe 8 months I think
