    I REALLY like their pickup truck. Very innovative and useful. I hope they manage to get it made.

    Don't they have two or three binding contracts with companies other than Walmart to produces vehicles that could help them secure additional money to begin production?

      @@theshapeexists I suspect it’ll be quite a few years before they get into production and scale of any kind unless they get bought out before then. But that’s just my opinion. So many companies are, and will be getting into the fleet last mile delivery scenario, that they’d have to come up with a really compelling unique case. Into my knowledge, they haven’t even produced any reliable, crash, worthiness/safety demonstration at this point. It’s just that is such a cool and compelling design iteration. But then again, so was the fun three vehicle vehicle from arcimoto. But in Akimoto’s case, I knew from day, one that they did not have a unique selling proposition. Nothing that could be scaled beyond competitors. Total niche vehicle. It’s gonna be tough going for canoe. I just personally wish I had one those vehicles that’s all.

    At $.68, buy a handful of stock."If it works, Great." If it doesn't, then you've only lost a few dollars. I look at buying stock akin to gambling at a casino. Losing a few dollars is no big deal. But if you don't gamble, then you can't win. At one time, my winnings were almost 200% in profit. As of today, I am only up about 60% However, I have been investing my winnings in under priced start-ups which in a bear market are losing money. Once the market reverses, I expect to see my winning % to go up again to about 200% or more. BTW, if Canoo(GOEV) goes down to $.50/share, I will buy 10 more shares instead of going to Starbucks for a Latte . I think I can afford losing that. LOL.
    You guys should do a video on EVTOLs

      After four months, what do you think of Canoo? Will they do a reverse stock split?

  • @CurtisDrew1
    @CurtisDrew1 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I'd buy the pickup since it can haul a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood. Or my motorcycles and kayacks. If it had regenerative charging so I could charge it up while towing it behind my RV, it would be the perfect RV'er truck.
    My son owns a multi million dollar construction company and I could see him buying a bunch of these for his company vehicles. He already owns a Tesla, so he pro EV.
    I'm still hoping the Bollinger comes down into my price range.

  • @JohnAnderson-Catfish
    @JohnAnderson-Catfish ปีที่แล้ว +8

    I used to own stock in $FUV, when I heard about the reverse stock split I sold. I also lost hope in Mark Frohnmayer, his comments to me regarding share price was disappointing. Canoo I own some shares and have a deposit on a pickup truck. Never really expected to drive it. Such innovation, sad to say! I think both blew it by going in so many directions with different models. Build one and get it right, mas produce one model then move on to other models.

      The 8ft extendable bed and lower to the ground is great work truck.
      My friend loves small trucks and wants it, so I'm willing to invest some spare cash to help them along so that can happen one day.
      And Aptera too, gonna buy that one for myself.

    • @theshapeexists
      @theshapeexists ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From my research, the foundation of each model is the same. They are super modular and the differences from the vans to the trucks is just the shell. That's kind of the appeal to these vehicles and removing the different models takes away buyers appeal

    • @JohnAnderson-Catfish
      @JohnAnderson-Catfish ปีที่แล้ว

      I get the appeal of other models, but mass production is more important, you also need to have infrastructure to make the sell. The FUV would be ideal in India but there is very little infrastructure in place thus limiting a huge market

    • @basinupfitting
      @basinupfitting ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's exactly what they're doing. Kingbee is holding a summit right now in Utah showing off the only vehicle that Canoo plans on producing until it's tried and tested by hard-driving fleets. Kingbee's customers were invited today to come test drive and learn about the production vehicles shipping Q4 this year. We know this because we share a building with Kingbee.

  • @grizzlymartin1
    @grizzlymartin1 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Why they haven’t sold out to a big guns company it perplexing. Unlike FUV, Canoo has a massive addressable market. So they have the proof of concept and addressable market. All they need is ability to scale. M&A time.

    What are the chances of a legacy auto manufacturer purchasing one of these troubled EV start-ups?

    • @Nphen
      @Nphen ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That might actually be a good idea for the legacy OEM, but they're burdened under hundreds of billions in debt, and the Fed Reserve decided to wreck the economy with higher rates. Tesla has the cash to buy them, but has no need to. Canoo has cool designs and would be a nice niche brand but the business world doesn't have a formula for that type of business.

    Yes, there are risks which you are right to make us aware of. But I have to say, I'm so glad I DID NOT listen to the naysayers in 2012 when I bought a shit load of Tesla stock. I now have a large house and plan to retire early. Was Tesla risky then, hell yes, and often in far worse dire straights than Canoo or Rivian are now. Did Elon know there was a risk with Tesla? Yes! Name one risk free EV start up? Name any manufacturing start up that isn't a risk? Still waiting.... If no one took risks there would be no self-made millionaires, there'd be no EVs. If you don't like risks don't do risky things. If you are going to take risks, at least put your money into a company, product and team you believe in and go in with your eyes open. And don't risk more than you are prepared to loose.

    Its apparent what the problem is... they built a vehicle their target customers don't really need.
    It is tempting to invest because stocks are cheap. Also because Vanguard and Blackrock are invested in as well.

    I was very skeptical of this from the start. They were talking about building an autonomous vehicle for some kind of strange car rental business. In general, my thought is that you've got a great product make that and sell it to somebody else to run a completely different kind business. Plus, autonomous vehicle? Really that is friggin hard and many big companies have given up after spending billions of dollars. I've been wrong a lot over the years, but sorry Canoo I wasn't wrong this time. Plus, is that really the best name you could come up with?
