There will be a New Manila International Airport. With NMIA, there should be more non-stop international flights. It means the revival of European flights and more North American airports can get the NMIA flight non-stop.
It's too far from Manila if that is your destination. Will take over an hour if heading for Manila. They will be renovating NAIA anyway. It is more convenient if you are actually staying in the Manila area.
@@james21ap1 they are also improving the transportation system to get the travel time between NMIA and downtown Manila to within 30 minutes via train and under 45 minutes via car. Why are they talking too much about Manila Airport being worse? Haven't they checked and tried the Philippines multi-awarded new airports like Clark International Airport and the Mactan-Cebu International Airport?
It's okay to talk about it. It's true, right? So that whoever will come and visit the Philippines they are aware that they are about to experience one of the worst airports on the planet😂
I’ll be there next month 😬 but glad to hear it’s not as bad as people say. In my experience Cuba’s airport was the worst. The toilets didn’t even have seats in them!
I've been to Manila several times, and the lines were not as bad as my experience in the US, but going to your hotel is the challenging part because of the traffic (except Sundays).
I once transited through NAIA terminal 1 to go to China. There were 2 giant Boeing 777s and the people transiting (which was at least 30%) had to go through (I'm not kidding you) 1 security checkpoint. It took over an hour and we almost missed our connection.
You just got lucky. My wife and I got there over 3 hours early and still arrived at our gate just as they started boarding the final groups. That's how long checking our luggage, customs, and security took.
i went to cairo and without knowing it was the worst, went through and came out. I can now say 3 hours in a line to check a fkin passport makes it the worst airport. arrive 6 hours before departure
From my experience, it depends on the airlines and the terminal. Stay away from terminal 1 at the least. Also ever heard of the saying, "you get what you paid for," well, it's real in the Philippines. Cheap flights are a nightmare to navigate, especially check-ins and their usual 5+ hour delays, but major airlines are easier but expensive, almost twice as much as the cheaper ones.

The worst airport IMO is London Heathrow. 3 hours waiting time for immigration clearance for passengers coming in from Asian countries, understaffed, the goddamn officers at the counters take their own sweet time to pass everyone and guess what?
