  • This is an arrival into Manila Airport in the early morning hours of August. I arrived from Taipei Taiwan on China Airlines. You need to fill out an e-travel document and a customs form before arrival. Also you will need an inward ticket within 30 days of your visa expiration. It is a 30 day visa on arrival into Philippines. The name of this airport is Ninoy Aquino International airport and its airport code is MNL.

Upon arrival, I love the view of the skyline of Makati and Taguig which are both business satellite cities of Manila, but Makati is more of a business hub of Metro Manila than Taguig and I love the view of SLEX and Metro Manila Skyway Stage 1 before the plane touches the runway.

I heard from other bloggers that you might not be asked for the QR codes because the airport will see anything you filled out online by scanning your passport, so as travelers, we still need to accomplish those forms. ☺️
Welcome and enjoy the Philippines. Mabuhay! 🇵🇭

You are correct pilipinay! When you complete the details about your eTravel, one of the questions is your passport number so when you go through Customs and Immigration and they scan your passport they can see whether you have done the eTravel part. So some people think "why did I do the eTravel because they didn't even ask for it" - The moral of the story is - even if they don't specifically ask for it - it doesn't mean they did not check it 😉😉

Good choice of taxi to take upon arrival in Manila. The yellow taxis are a safe choice although may not be the cheapest. Since you were going to BGC, that's a long way and depending on time of the day would be subjected to traffic a long the way. The yellow taxi is dependable based on my experience with them Everytime I come to Manila. As for the paperwork that are required, it's better to have them prepared even though they may not be asking for them. You seem to be a veteran traveler. Congratulations on your safe arrival to Manila. Have fun enjoy.🤗🤗🤗

Heads up, my aunt is going to NAIA Terminal 1 as a teacher in the Philippines and she'll be teaching in Redwood City, CA when the new school year begins. My uncle is picking her up to the airport so she'll take a flight to LAX for a layover to SFO. Just like that, my aunt will take a Philippine Airlines flight from MNL to LAX and then a Delta Airlines flight from LAX to SFO.

    • @CrystalClearWith8BE

Two new world class airports are under construction which are Sangley Point or Manila-Sangley (SGL) and New Manila/Bulacan or Manila-Bulacan (no IATA code yet, but I hope it's NMI). To not confuse other airports serving Manila using destination names, NAIA should be called Manila-NAIA. The new airports will retain the American and Canadian flights NAIA serves, but the new flights they'll serve are as follows: Montreal-Trudeau, Boston, Newark NJ, Washington-Dulles, Chicago-O'Hare, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver and Seattle. The difference of other eastern flights will be as follows: Manila-Sangley will serve Detroit, Atlanta, Houston-Bush and Mexico City. Manila-Bulacan will serve Calgary, Portland OR, Las Vegas, San Jose CA and San Diego. What do you think of the destinations of the two proposed new Manila airports will be serving? Are there any takeaways or you want to add somewhere else?
