      I completely agree! Now when I have any procedures done I make sure to take "Phazyme Gas and Acid Relief" daily for the gas pain! It is the one OTC gas relief I have found to work super well!

    Last question , did you sleep on your back after surgery ? If so , how many days did you wait to sleep on your left or right side ? I am scared to sleep on my left side and don’t want to make a mistake and go back to the hospital . Thanks a lot .

    • @AllieYoung
      @AllieYoung  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I slept in an upright position for a few days, with pillows stacked behind me! As long as it is not painful, you can safely sleep on your side without any complications! Im a stomach sleeper, but found I was not able to return to that particular sleeping position until a few weeks after!

    Thanks so much for posting this, girl! Very informative. I'm actually getting surgery soon, too. I am wondering if you could explain more about what it was like to get put to sleep? This is the part that FREAKS me OUT!! Like, what does it feel like? How do they do it? What does it feel like when they put the stuff in, like do you get sleepy or is more like wide awake to instantly out? Could you have stayed awake if you would have tried or is it impossible? Haha. Basically whatever you remember about that part would be helpful. Thanks so much!

    • @AllieYoung
      @AllieYoung  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Prior to the anesthesia they give you drugs that make you sleepy through your IV and you may feel like you're floating. Usually to give you the anesthesia they put a mask on you similar to and oxygen mask and have you breath normally. DON'T BE SCARED! Honestly the chances of you knowing what is going on or remember any of when they "put you to sleep" are slim to none! It is impossible to stay away no mater how hard you try! Before they take you back for surgery the anesthesiologist will come in and meet with you so if you tell them you're nervous for it they will make sure you are comfortable and help you though it! You'll do great! Let me know how it goes!

      TaylorTaylorDiamond I'm going thru recovery (had surgery 5days ago) and it was the worst fucking pain in the world easily ten

    • @tmviracocha178
      @tmviracocha178 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TaylorTaylorDiamond so the pain is different for everybody. It is looking back probably to most pain I had been in for lingering days. Having a high pain tolerance I only knew something was wrong when the pain shifted from central belly button area to my right side. I knew something was up then but it still wasn't the worst pain I had been in. That's where it could be dangerous. People think they'll know an inflamed appendix when they have it. But anybody that has experienced any other gut pains like constipation would assume it was just that. Its post recovery is where I thought the real pain was at. Just read your body listen to it and don't think its something you can just pass. It'll kill yuh

      No problem! Before they put you to sleep they give you medicine in your IV that makes you drowsy and then they just put something similar to on oxygen mask on you and have you breath it in. It's actually relaxing! Definitely not a wide awake and then you're out, but it's not a long drawn out process either. No you definitely couldn't stay awake no matter how hard you try!
